S2 IS AS GOOD AS SEASON 1

I loved this. It's one of those shows where season 2 doesn't disappoint. Zee -New's chemistry is one of the best out there. The main focus was on their wedding and career. What I loved was how gentle Zee was with New. I mean, he's really one of the dream husband's everyone would wish for. Even on their wedding night, the tenderness of their NC scene made my heart melt. The ending had me crying happy tears. I mean, it's not something extraordinary...but their acting and chemistry is so heartwarming that it can't be helped.

A GOOD DRAMA WITH 0 TOXICITY

Yeah it's basically a cute love story of 2 boys who have been together since childhood. We have seen many such similar plots but this plot is quiet unique.
First of all I loved See-Eiw and Cake's chemistry. It seemed so natural. They were closely knit since childhood and the level of comfort they had with each other wasn't just that of ordinary Bromance. They always slept hugging each other. Both helped each other in their own ways. We saw that even when the phase came where cake had a girlfriend and was busy with her, he always cared about Eiw. Though Eiw felt neglected and hurt at times, whenever Cake felt like Eiw was upset, he always asked him..."are you angry..what's the matter"... At the time when he was about to leave for America, he prioritised Eiw and spent time with him, even at the cost of breaking up with his gf. After he went , I thought, maybe like most storylines, they will eventually lose contact and get busy with their own lives. But no! They stayed connected for all those 4 years, patiently waiting for each other while improving themselves. Eventually, Cake also realised that he was in love with Eiw and they became a couple. ACTUALLY, THEY'VE ALWAYS LOVED EACH OTHER. THEY'VE ALWAYS BEEN EACH OTHER'S HOME. ONLY THE RELATIONSHIP STATUS CHANGED FROM FRIENDS TO BOYFRIENDS, WITH A ROMANTIC ASPECT ADDED.
THE DRAMA ALSO FOCUSED ON QUITTING TOBACCO by showing how Eiw's mom had to die due to passive smoking.
Overall, IT WAS A HEALTHY DRAMA. THERE WAS SO UNNECESSARY LOVE-HATE RELATIONSHIP, THERE WAS NO DELIBERATELY MAKING EACH OTHER JEALOUS/MAD , HURTING EACH OTHER, THERE WERE NO TOXIC SECOND LOVE INTERESTS AND UNNECESSARY PARENT ISSUES. IT WAS OVERALL A VERY LOVEY-DOVEY WITHOUT BEING CRINGE TYPE OF DRAMA. BUT, IT WASN'T ANYTHING NEW, EXCITING OR EXTRAORDINARY. SO MY PROBABILITY OF RE-WATCHING IT IS PROBABLY LOW. BUT OVERALL ITS A FINE DRAMA.

NOT A BL, BUT THE CHEMISTRY WAS UNDENIABLE. (READ THE NOVEL FOR BL)

I came across this drama as I was looking for more BL dramas to watch. So, my first point is EVEN THOUGH THE ORIGINAL WORK IS BL, THIS DRAMA IS ADAPTED TO A BROMANCE VERSION. Well, THEY ARE MORE LIKE SOUL-MATES BUT THEY GIVE OFF BROMANCE VIBES MOSTLY.
If you're into Chinese BLs, you know we always get platonic version of their love. In case of UNTAMED, I knew before watching that it's BL. So, while watching, even though it was platonic, I didn't get the "bromance" vibe because of the chemistry they had. Next I watched WORD OF HONOR. It too, did not give Bromance vibes. It was a BL with soul-mates / platonic lovers vibe. Same goes for KILLER AND HEALER. It did give Bromance vibes to certain extent but we could see they were platonic lovers. But this drama, GUARDIAN, GIVES THE BROMANCE VIBES. BECAUSE, THROUGHOUT MOST OF THE DRAMA, WE COULD SEE THAT IT WAS ONLY ONE OF THE MALE LEADS (SHEN WEI) WHO SECRETLY LOVED HIS CO-STAR (ZHAO YUNLAN) FOR MORE THAN 10,000 YEARS. ZHAO YUNLAN HAD NO IDEA OR MEMORIES ABOUT IT. SO, YUNLAN CONSIDERED HIM AS A BROTHER ( MORE THAN BROTHER TBH, BUT HE PORTRAYED A CHARECTERS WHO IS A CHEEKY, WORKAHOLIC, DOESN'T INVOLVE IN LOVE OR ROMANCE, SO EVEN THOUGH THEY DID LOVE EACH OTHER, THEY VIBE THEY GAVE WAS OF BROMANCE/ SOUL-MATES). BUT BUT BUT, OH WHAT A CHEMISTRY AND ACTING SKILLS THEY HAVE!!!!
THE LEVEL OF COMFORT, CONFIDANCE, UNDERSTANDING AND SENSE OF SACRIFICE THEY HAD FOR EACH OTHER WAS SO PLEASING TO WATCH.

COMING TO THE PLOT, In the first half of the series, it's like a fantasy murder mystery solving drama. (Like detective shows). In each episode, there's a new villian and Zhou Yunlan and his team (SID) fights against them. Shen Wei is always mysteriously involved with the cases. Though he helps out the SID team as Black Envoy, he gets into their suspicion as Professor Shen. IT WASN'T THAT INTRESTING BECAUSE EVEN AS A KID I HAVE SEEN MANY SUCH SHOWS OF SUPER HERO VS SUPER VILLIAN. I WAS WAITING FOR THE ACTUAL STORY OF SHEN WEI AND ZHOU YUNLAN TO START. It starts towards the later half of the series. Like I said, the drama has no romance elements between the leads but their chemistry, relationship development was still beautiful. Time and time again, we see Shen Wei's love filled glances and actions towards Zhou Yunlan. But Zhou Yunlan was always playful and more like "hey bro" (Just saying about the vibe he gave). Because even at the point when Shen said Zhou "I have been waiting for you for 10,000 years" in a serious tone, (much like a confession), Zhou just laughed it off, lightning the entire mood. But yes, both indeed loved , cared and respected each other.
I HATED THE ENDING THOUGH. IMAGINE HAVING TO WATCH 40 LONG EPISODES ONLY TO GET A SAD ENDING WITH BOTH MLs DEAD!!!!! SERIOUSLY, WHY DOES CHINESE BLs ALWAYS END IN A DISAPPOINTING WAY? THIS DRAMA AND KILLER AND HEALER HAD SUCH AN UNFAIR ENDING. ITS A FANTASY DRAMA, WHY COULDN'T THEY HAVE A HAPPY ENDING AND DIE JUST LIKE THAT? AFTER SO MUCH HARDWORK AND SACRIFICE, THEY DIDN'T DESERVE SUCH AN ENDING. THEY SHOULD HAVE ATLEAST REINCARNATED AND LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER AGAIN. :(
ANYWAYS, IT WASN'T SUCH A WASTE TO WATCH IT. I WASN'T SATISFIED WITH THE ENDING AND LACK OF BL, SO MOW M GONNA READ THE NOVEL VERSION OF THE STORY TO SATISFY MY HEART :)

Updated Review- NOVEL VERSION
OK so m done reading the translated version of the original work by Priest. Gosh!! I LOVEEEEDDDD IT SO MUCH!!!! TRUST ME IF YOU LIKED THE CHARECTERS IN THE DRAMA AND WISH IT WAS A BL, JUST GO AND READ THE NOVEL. THE STORY OF THE NOVEL IS MUCH MORE INTENSE AND INTRESTING AND VERY DIFFERENT TBH. PLUS THE ZHOU-SHEN COUPLE IS ONE OF THE BEST BL COUPLES I'VE EVER COME ACROSS. I WON'T GIVE SPOILERS, JUST READ THE NOVEL. YOU'LL GET A HAPPY ENDING AND YOU'LL FEEL SUPER SATISFIED. T

OVER- DRAMATIC

I seriously hate immature people specially grown up people. HARUTAN WAS A EPITOME OF IMMATURE ADULT WHO DOESN'T KNOW WHAT HE WANTS, JUST GOES WITH THE FLOW EVEN IF IT CREATES A GREAT DEAL OF MESS. Initially, I FOUND IT HILARIOUS, ALL THE SUITORS, CONFUSIONS, MESS AND HIM BEING IN A DILEMMA ALL THE TIME, BUT, EVENTUALLY, IT BECAME IRRITATING.
HARUTAN WAS HIMSELF NEVER SURE WHAT AND WHO HE WANTS, HIS SEXUAL PREFERENCE. EVEN WHEN HE DATED MAKI, HE ACTED ALL DISGUSTED AND PANICKED WHENEVER HE KISSED HIM. HE KEPT SAYING HE WANTED GIRLS WITH BIG BOOBS. HE DIDN'T LET MAKI LEAVE WHEN HE WANTED TO, BUT IT SEEMED LIKE HE WAS JUST USED TO HAVING MAKI AS A COMPANION..NOT BECAUSE OF LOVE. WITH CHIEF, HE KEPT PLAYING ALONG FOR A LONG TIME.
I mean after their break up, HARUTAN went until the point of marriage with chief, just because he couldn't say no. HE DIDN'T LOVE HIM BUT HE WAS JUST PLAYING ALONG. AND AFTER ONE WHOLE YEAR, ON THE DAY OF MARRIAGE, RIGHT BEFORE KISSING, HE REALISED HE LOVES MAKI. DUH! OVERDRAMMATIC SERIOUSLY. ITS JUST TOOO MUCH. AND

SWEET, SHORT & SIMPLE

OMG this was so freaking cute!!! Both the male leads are so adorable! And the storyline, even though it's pretty simple, it's so good! It comes without any unnecessary drama and toxicity. Just a pure, sweet and fluffy teenage love story in the midst of lockdown. And I have to say, Key and Chen are so damn lucky! They are each other's crush and Chen approaches him..He finally even ends up in Key's room! Gosh! Fantasy of every person who has a crush on someone.
We need these type of light hearted, feel good dramas. It uplifts our mood. I have seen a lot of BLs with similar plots..Thai, Japanese... One of them having a crush on a popular guy and the popular guy also secretly has a crush on them and eventually they end up together. It's cliche. BUT, TRUST ME...EVEN THOUGH ITS CLICHE, YOU'LL LOVE IT BECAUSE THE CHARECTERS ARE SO DAMN ADORABLE AND THEIR ACTING IS NATURAL. Even though Chen is so popular, he's preety much down to earth, which I really liked. Unlike most dramas with similar plot, it was him that approached the unpopular guy (KEY). Key, even though he was so over the moon when he knew he was his Crush's ( Key's) crush, he didn't really behave like a silly boy and maintained his composure. The chemistry was so sweet and natural. I want season 2.

EPISODE 3- VERY CUTE.
EPISODE 4- OKAY
EPISODE 5- THIS PLOT IS SO GOOD! WISH IT WAS CONVERTED INTO A LONG DRAMA. LOVE STORY OF RETRO AGE WHERE PEOPLE EXCHANGED LETTERS. LOVED IT.
EPISODE 6- THIS PLOT CAN BE MADE INTO A DRAMA TOO. THERE R A LOT OF K-DRAMAS WITH Al- HUMAN LOVE STORIES. SO YES IT DOES HAVE THE POTENTIAL.

MISLEADING TITLE.

Alright, so after I was dissatisfied with how Jim and Ben ended up in Season 1, I hope they end up better in Season 2. The beginning of season 2 was slow and very very frustrating. Jim and all of his former friends were looking for Ben bcz he disappeared into thin air. It seemed like maybe Ben died. But, by then end of episode 4, we had a glimpse of Ben living in a village with another guy. There were a lot of loopholes and things that didn't make sense but yes, I have to say, THE FEELING OF WHATS GONNA HAPPEN NEXT WAS CONSTANT. But, IT WAS BECAUSE THE TITLE WAS MISLEADING. IT SAYS "B X J FOREVER", SO, I WAS CURIOUS AS TO WHEN THE COUPLE WILL RECONCILE AND FINALLY BE TOGETHER. UNTIL THE VERY LAST SCENE, I STILL HAD HOPE THAT BEN MIGHT SOMEHOW END UP WITH JIM AS THE TITLE SAYS, BUT NO!
The reasons why I liked the series is-
1) It broke the stereotype of most dramas. Usually, we always see the lead couple ending up togather or even if they don't, if there's a season 2, there's a better ending for them. They usually reconcile. But here, the lead couple, infact, didn't end up together. Not in season 1, neither in season 2. The ending where Ben has finally made a firm decision to move on and never look back was realistic. And Jim ending up heartbroken was realistic too. Because, IRL, things always don't end up the way we want. There's life beyond the first love and people have to let go at a certain point.
2) The supporting charecters like Flo, Olan, Yana had their own stories and own struggles and they finally had their satisfactory ending.
3) It wasn't just a BL. It included sexuality and romantic relationships of all types.
4) MOST IMPORTANTLY, M GLAD THAT BEN DIDN'T DITCH ROY, SOMETHING THAT HAPPENS IN MOST DRAMAS. USUALLY, THE LEAD DITCHES THE SECOND LOVE INTEREST AS SOON AS THINGS GETS BETTER BETWEEN THE MAIN COUPLE. BUT BEN, DIDN'T LEAVE HIM. HE ACKNOWLEDGED THE FACT THAT ROY WAS THE ONE WHO HAS BEEN THERE FOR HIM THIS WHOLE TIME AND HE DOESN'T DESERVE TO BE DITCHED. EVEN THOUGH BEN DOESN'T REALLY LOVE ROY LIKE THE WAY HE LOVED JIM, HE'S LOOKING FORWARD HOLDING A SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY AND RESOLUTE DECESION. THIS SHOWS THAT EVEN IF THE HEART AND FEELING MAY WEAVER, IF WE HAVE A STRONG WILL, WE CAN LET GO OF PEOPLE AND MOVE ON.

Why I didn't like it-
1) The story was messed up right from the beginning. Season 2 was from Jim's POV. It showed that Jim loved Ben since childhood too. But, that's TOTALLY OPPOSITE OF HOW JIM BEHAVED IN SEASON 1. IN SEASON 1, JIM STARTED TEASING BEN WHEN HE REALISED HE WAS GAY. WHEN HIS GF SHOWED UP, HE ASKED BEN TO HELP HIM PLAN FOR THEIR ANNIVERSARY! I MEAN WHY WOULD SOMEONE ASK THE PERSON THEY SECRETLY LOVE TO HELP THEM PREPARE FOR A SURPRISE FOR SOMEONE HE'S CURRENTLY DATING (FOR MORE THAN A YEAR)? THAT NIGHT, HE SAID BEN THAT HE WAS THE HAPPIEST PERSON, SHE'S THE BEST THING THAT COULD EVER HAPPEN TO HIM..When Ben said "I love you", his first reaction was "I LOVE YOU TOO, YOU'RE MY BEST FRIEND". Until much later, when Jim stated getting jealous over Olan and Ben, that's when he realised he loves Ben. Otherwise, he kept using the word "BEST FRIEND" for Ben. He emphasized on it.
2) WHAT WAS JIM'S FAULT EXACTLY? After Jim got into a relationship with Ben in Season 1, He was devoted to him and was ready to face any challenges which is why he publically announced their relationship online (Ofcourse that was kinda impulsive and immature because he didn't think it through). But after he saw Ben and Leo kissing ( not really but so it seemed), he was angry and did say some hurtful things to Ben. But the reason why Ben chose to break up with Jim was because he didn't want Jim to know about the dark past of their parents or be a hindrance in his life. Even before Jim left for Davao, he asked Ben if he's sure about the break up. He was ready to give everything up for him. Later when BEN realised that Jim didn't deserve to be hurt like that, that when he made a " truth reveal" video and explained why he had to break up with Jim. Ofcourse after knowing the truth, Jim was ready to get back to Ben. But Ben was gone... VANISHED!!! Much later in the last episode Ben says that they've hurt each other a lot and he needs healing. WHEN DID JIM HURT BEN??? (after being in a relationship with Ben, Jim didn't do anything wrong expect getting mad when he saw Ben and Leo kissing. That isn't enough to be considered as hurting Ben!) IT WAS JIM'S FATHER WHO HURT BEN NOT JIM. WHY DID JIM HAVE TO SUFFER FOR A SIN HIS FATHER COMMITTED? JIM EVEN CUT OFF TIES WITH HIS FATHER. SO WHYYY????
2) WHY DID BEN PLAY DEAD??
I mean, okay he wanted to run away from Jim because he didn't want to destroy Jim's life (based on what Jim's father told him). Couldn't he just break up properly? Or even if he wanted to vanish, he could've left a goodbye message. He wanted Jim to have a better life. How? By playing dead? IS IT EASY TO LIVE A LIFE AND MOVE ON WITHOUT KNOWING WHETHER OUR LOVED ONE IS DEAD OR ALIVE? NOT JUST JIM, EVEN FLO, OLAN AND ALL OF HIS FORMER FRIENDS SUFFERED FROM THIS. JIM COULDN'T MOVE ON WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENED TO BEN. HE WENT ALMOST CRAZY LOOKING FOR BEN. AND THEN BEN FINALLY APPEARED...WITH HIS "SPOUSE". I MEAN ISN'T THAT TOOOOO CRUEL?? ALRIGHT, HOW DID BEN END UP AT ROY'S??? THIS WASN'T MADE CLEAR. Apparently, I assume he had an accident and somehow ended up at Roy's. But where was his mother? Was his mother okay with leaving her son in such a state at a stranger's care? That's ILLOGICAL!!!!
Here, m not judging Ben. I understand Ben is a timid character who chose to run away instead of fighting for his love. He might have considered it as a "sacrifice" for the sake of better life for Jim, but clearly, JIM LED A MUCH MORE MISERABLE LIFE THAN BEN. THINGS GOT WORSE FOR HIM IN EVERY RESPECT. HE SACRIFICED EVERYTHING FOR BEN. I HATE THE SCRIPT WRITER FOR MAKING JIM'S CHARACTER SO MISERABLE!!!
3) VAL was a perfect example of HOW, EVEN TOUGH WE DON'T WANT TO BE PEOPLE'S REBOUND, WE MIGHT END UP BEING ONE. I FEEL HIM.
4) WAS OLAN BISEXUAL? DID HE "LOVE" YANA OR WAS SHE REALLY HIS BFF?? Initially, in Season 2, Yana was his BFF and he was looking for males to "make out" with so I thought he was gay. But later he was jealous over Yana and Amber and almost kissed Yana. And later they were back to being BFFs. So, m confused.
Gosh I've never written such a long review before. It's just that I could feel the charecters and was so disturbed by the plot that I had to write it.
Oh and yes, THE ACTING OF THE ENTIRE CAST, SPECIALLY JIM, VAL, ROY, BEN, FLO..WERE SPOT ON!!! THE MADE THE CHARECTERS COME TO LIFE!!!

ITS MESSED UP!!! I HATE SUCH PLOTS!

I would rather say, it's such a mess! I really dislike plots where the bf of a girl suddenly breaks up with her because he's suddenly in love with one of his male friends. I mean, I've seen so many dramas of such similar plots. Usually, I overlook it because the gf characters in such plots are usually depicted as an arrogant, self centred, bitch... But here, Yana was a good girlfriend. Think about it..They just celebrated their "anniversary" and suddenly after a day or two, the bf asks for a break, without any proper reason. I feel so bad for her. And is relationships and love so easy that people can have a change of heart and sexuality overnight? Alright, I agree that people can suddenly fall in or out of love. But, in a relationship, commitment and responsibilities are important too. Jim was very selfish in that matter. Ben was kinda selfish too, confessing his love when he clearly saw that Jim and Yana was a happy couple. But still, I can't hate him for that because I understand, he couldn't just keep watching his first love be so in love with someone else. Many people are sympathizing with Olan. Yeah Olan is a good guy. But, I have watched quite a lot of series where the second love interest is often more caring and sometimes even better than the first love interest. Some even sacrifice themselves for their love. Yet, they remain the pitiful second love interest. Let's be honest, Olan only had a crush on Ben. They meet only for a short while when Ben gives him the courier stuff. He flirts a little and that's it. It's not like he was deeply in love with Ben. Moreover, in the mini party, he knew that Jim was Ben's first love. Throughout the party, the way Ben gazed at Jim made it obvious that he loved him and Olan was aware. Yet he still confessed. What did he expect? Ben still loved Jim. Even if they didn't get into a relationship later, Olan would still be like a rebound to him. He would still be hurt. All he could do was wait for him. And the last episode was even more messed up. Why are they so impulsive? Jim suddenly confessed on social media and when he saw Ben and Leo kissing, he wasn't even ready to listen to his explanation. Then the whole drama of lying to not hurt him and finally confessing the truth. They were mature adults but here they really behaved like impulsive teens. Anyways, it's a fine drama. Nothing new tbh. But not bad either.
I hope season 2 is better than season 1. Let's see.

A HIDDEN GEM

M so lucky to have come across this drama. It's so UNDERRATED! Although it was a school based BL, it was uncommon. I haven't come across a similar fake bf to real bf BL drama. The cast was really lovely. The main couple, unlike most BL couples, were not just lovey dovey at all times. I loved the combination of fierceness and cuteness in them. The second and third couples were incredibly cute. The friends were silly and funny. Not that funny though. What was totally different was, usually we see dramas based on city life, University life, etc. But here, it entirely focused on the country life and their culture. The songs were good but the fact that the charecters starts singing out of the blue in the flow of emotions was funny and gave the "Bollywood vibes". It's rare to see that in southeast Asian dramas.
Overall, it was entertaining, and definately can be re-watched.

NOT AS BAD AS MOST REVIEWS SAYS

Trust me, don't blindly follow the reviews here. Here most of the reviews says it was damn slow, had no proper story, was all over the place, etc., But, my experience was different. Ofcourse, the negative comments did influence me too, so I watched the drama mostly in 1.5x speed and skipped a lot of scenes without dialogues. But, it ain't boring. The 2 MLs are absolutely handsome. And the foods were just soooo appealing. It had me craving. The plot was a a normal storyline. Nothing really stands out. The ost were fine. Romance and chemistry was kinda lacking. Cinematography was good. Shooting locations were also good. Overall- it wasn't bad or boring but yeah the story was quiet ordinary and simple, not much fun, romance or anything that stands out. So, it's not worthy of re-watch.

WHAT THE HELL?!

It's sick! Trust me, I try not to write negative reviews for dramas. I always try to find out something positive in whatever I watch. Even though this series have a lot of negative reviews, I still decided to give it a try because many times I've fallen in love with low rated dramas. Plus, m currently watching the HIStory series so I decided to watch this too. Afterall it's just 4 episodes. I watched it in 2x speed!
The story is downright RIDICULOUS! FORGET CROSS GENDER BODY EXCHANGE, THE FACT THAT THE GUY MOVES ON AND FALLS IN LOVE WITH ANOTHER GUY WITHIN LESS THAN A WEEK OF HIS GIRLFRIEND 'S DEATH MAKES ME SICK! Even if he liked him even before the accidents took place, how can someone just move on so quickly?! I feel bad for his gf! Poorly written story.

A CLICHE PLOT OF 2 STEP BROTHERS FALLING IN LOVE

Nothing special. M watching the HIStory series and so I decided to watch this. I already knew it doesn't really have much to offer but since it's just 4 episodes, I watched it in 1.5x speed. A simple polt - 2 step brothers suddenly living together, buliding up of feelings, misunderstanding, kissing, denial, aproval ..and happy ever after. That's it.
The only plus point I find is, though it was a short drama, it didn't feel like it was very fast paced or there was jumping through scenes, which usually happens in many mini series. Overall it's not bad. I mean it's not unwatchable. But yeah I wouldn't re-watch it because there's nothing much to it.

CONFLICTED

It's interesting. In some places I saw high praises of this drama so I decided to watch it. And honestly, it wasn't that bad. But when I came here to read the reviews, seeing people hate this so much is actually making me question myself. Was it wrong to not hate it? Well- No. Here's my opinion. Initially, as the series started I hated Jian Teng because we all know he cheated his boyfriend after 9 years. He was a douche bag . I felt sorry for Yi Chen, because I could feel his pain. He did like Jian Teng. He still liked him even though he knew he died because of him. But, he was trying hard to ignore his feelings and ignore him so that he doesn't have to face similar situations again in this new life. Jian Teng was obsessive. He wanted to have Yi Chen all for himself. He was even violent and tried to sexually assault him. But this I don't hate it as much as most ppl here . Why? Because it's not like Yi Chen hated him. He was scared and angry and was trying to avoid him. Anyways, I agree it's wrong. But, when Jian Teng actually risked his life to save him, my opinion changed. Can people who are only obsessed but not in love, jump to save someone at the risk of their own life? Idk. Then he played amnesiac. Ppl are saying he played with Yi Chen to gain his sympathy. But, we saw how devasted Yi Chen was when Jian Teng was injured and hospitalized. He obviously still loved him. He didn't leave his side until he came to his senses. I don't think Yi Chen would stop caring for him even if he didn't play amnesiac. Then towards the end when he Jian Teng forces himself on him once again while claiming Yi Chen to be his, Yi Chen says that says that he knows he played amnesiac bcz he was scared that he doesn't like him. ( But that wasn't the case because he loves him regardless). Some ppl says it's only obsession on Jian Teng's side. I don't agree. Yeah it did start with obsession but he eventually did fall in love. And let's be real. In his previous life they were in a relationship for 9 years! Do you really think it's possible to be in a relationship for 9 whole years without actually being in love? Only with obsession? At the end we see that it was a misunderstanding. He was just putting on an act to prevent his parents from bullying Yi. However, this part of the plot was kinda unsatisfactory. (I mean why do they have to hide such things from their partner and hurt them instead of solving it together?) And some people said he didn't learn his lesson even after dying. I don't agree. He did learn. This were different this time. Jian Teng save him twice. And at last Yi says, " Whether it's now or in future, I am going to live for myself". This was the biggest lesson. Unlike his previous self who was weak and lived for Jian Teng and his love, this time he would be more rational and stronger and do what's good for himself. So overall, I liked the story. And let's be real. Is there any form of love/relationship that doesn't have even a slightest bit of toxicity? Is there any sort of love/attachment that doesn't come with pain? No right. Even if it's a planktonic relationship, it might still be toxic and hurtful.

A CUTE FAMILY WITH 2 DADS

I found it better than HIStory 2: Crossing the line. The plot was nice. Along with the kid, 3 of them looked really cute togather. Inspite of the age difference, the MLs had a good chemistry. The Professor was really hot!! XD
Some issues like - being bullied because of being gay, being a divorced guy with a kid...these were dealt with preety well. But, the teacher- student relationship, how they could be affectionate even inside the college campus, and the gossip of students and other social issues were kind of ignored. Even though they did say they didn't care, I think it's kinda unrealistic. But then, the whole point of the drama was to encourage self-happines and prioritising oneself rather than caring about the society. So I guess that's okay. Even though IRL, things will be lot more hard to endure but definitely with a strong will and love, people can get through everything.
At the point where the ex-wife came in to beg her ex-husband's bf to let go of him...I seriously stopped watching. I was like- please don't let this be one of those plots where one of the MLs leaves the partner for the sake of his family and eventually realises they can't live without each other and gets back together. But, Thank God it wasn't! He firmly denied her. That's when I was happy and continued to watch the drama. Overall it's good. A cute, feel good drama.

SHORT, SWEET AND TO THE POINT.

This is the first ever historical BL I've watched so far that was an actual BL (not BL turned into bromance or planktonic relationship) and ended with a sweet kiss. ( "Tinted with you" is an exception bcz it's not really a historical drama. Though it takes place in a historical setting, it's a fantasy drama with one ML from modern times, who time travelled to past).
I don't know why people complains more than appreciating. Trust me. It wasn't a rushed drama. But yes, no time was wasted in back stories and unnecessary explanation.
IT ONLY FOCUSES ON THE LOVE STORY OF THE MAIN COUPLE. UNLIKE OTHER HISTORICAL DRAMAS, THERE'S NO SIDE STORIES OR BACK STORIES SHOWING TREACHERY AND SCHEMES AND SOCIETY. SO IF YOU'RE OKAY WITH JUST THE COUPLE, WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT...WHAT IFS AND WHAT NOWS, DEFINITELY GO FOR IT!
I've seen a lot of people comparing it to SPRING OF CRUSH. Yes, the plot is somewhat similar bcz both involves a guy who cross-dressed as a woman and married a man. But other than that, the stories and endings are different. Spring of crush is much more elaborate and complex which is why it did not really end up as a happy ending for a BL couple( it definitely wasn't a sad ending either).
Whereas, Nobleman Ryu's wedding is much more simpler story so it could end up with a sweet ending. I liked both!
