It was alright

As a remake of the korean original, this was actually okay, but that's only it, i don't think it did anything unique or special to make itself stand out from its korean counterpart.

The story... they basically followed the korean original almost 1 to 1, but they made a few changes. One of which was unnecessary in terms of the connections of the characters is them changing FL and the Creator of the Robot as mere friends, in the original she is her Ex and that's the reason why she based her face on the robot as he couldn't move on, but here they just brushed it off as friends and they used her face because it was the idea of one of the side characters because she's pretty, like.... okay??? I mean, if hypothetically i have a scientist friend that would build an AI Robot based on my face without my consent i think i would be angry at them, because just why??? If that's the case they could've just used a random celebrity face or something. Anyway, i think they changed that part because they wanted a different endgame for the Creator of the AI and i found him and Li'er's relationship really cute, their dynamic is really good, and they bounce off each other pretty well. So yeah, i think story-wise this was okay, but it felt really weak because it didn't do anything to stand out, in the later parts the way they tied the knot of the business side was kinda bullshit, it was like as if I'm watching a teledrama. That's all i have to say in terms of the story, go watch it and judge it yourself.

The acting, we all know the bar is really high. ML's acting was good, but i think it could've been better like i think he's just acting the same character from Meteor Garden, but in a different drama. Sun Qian, she's the reason why i watched this drama in the first place and i think she did okay too, she's cute as always, but I just couldn't really help comparing it to the original as i was watching this, because the original was one of the earliest dramas that i've watched when i was getting into kdramas and i was on the high of watching banger after banger, that's why i'm so biased. So yeah, even with my love for Sun Qian didn't really help for me to say that this show was that "OH MY GOD ITS SOOO GOOOD!!!"

Side characters are okay, i don't think there's a character wasted in this remake despite the changes, all of them really contributed to the mains and to the story, again it's basically the same as the original, but with a few changes in the story and the relationship of the characters.

The OSTs are really good, there's that one cute ost that i even thought was a remake because it sounded so similar

The CGI, I'll give it to this remake, because it was made when the technology has already evolved so far that would make the original pale in comparison and the sets are really futuristic as well even the world of this drama is modernly futuristic, they really up that part. The timing for releasing this remake was really on point because we're already at the Rise of AI Technology.

I didn't know this existed because, while i was looking at Sun Qian's list of dramas, i just clicked on this because i thought the title seemed interesting, but later i found out that this was a chinese remake of 'I Not a Robot'. This is still recommendable because i had a good time and the dynamic was really cute, but i doubt i would ever rewatch it.

Kinda cute, but will also make you feel something

When I was looking for something to watch from Nana, I was intrigued by this because i also saw Arthur Chen in the cast.

I wasn't really expecting anything when i watched this, all i know is i just wanna watch something where Nana is in it. In the beginning, it was kinda meh, like the way they built up the characters and the story was uninteresting at first because it's like your typical youth love story with family drama in it, but when it got to the 2nd half of the story it actually got better, because the love triangles got thrown in. also, they've expanded on the family drama and i was like "Ohh? this is serious..." like suddenly i found myself caring for FL and ML and curious where the story would go, though it was predictable (in a good way).

The characters were okay because again it's your usual youth love story, but the dynamic between FL and ML was still cute along with the other side characters and also with the parents, and then again when it got to the 2nd half with all that drama and love triangle shit, the dynamic got even more interesting, the lines even though the mains are just high schoolers, carry such emotions and the way we get to hear what they think in their minds makes you feel for these characters.

Since this was in the early years of Nana and Arthur's career, the acting wasn't really the best, but it was still good. Arthur still has that smug expression that i saw in him in L&P, he's really good at acting cold characters. Nana, it was kinda of weird for me because i found her acting here much better than her acting in 'The Great Ruler' even though this movie was 3 years before TGR, I think it's got to do with the characters that she's playing, in TGR she was playing a Cold Goddess Princess that hasn't interacted with the mortals so she doesn't how to talk and act with the mortals, in conclusion, she's being held back by the character, while in here because of the heavy drama in the 2nd half she gets to showcase some ranges of emotions and expressions.

So yeah, good movie. I would probably rewatch it again and i highly recommend it if you want something cute but also with something that makes you feel.

Depression throughout the show

Just saw this randomly on my netflix feed and seemed interesting, so i watched it. And my god! I've never cried like back to back to back watching a drama before. I've watched a lot of sad dramas from China, Korea, and Japan, but i've never cried more than once, I think twice is the max, I would only cry in the climax and the ending if it's done well, but here I don't know how many time I've cried, I think cried like more than 10.

In the first episode, we were greeted with the 2 mains that we're gonna follow throughout the series and they wanna find the whereabouts of the other 2 mains of this show who created a song for them. Immediately they will hit you with the "Oh both of them are dead already" so the drama suddenly takes a dark turn faster than your grandma could stand up, and then the back story of the other 2 mains plays and hits you with another dark plot slapping you in the face. And that's when i knew "Ahhh I'm gonna be depressed throughout this show".

This drama never ceased to amaze me, cuz as you keep digging down to the stories behind these characters, it keeps getting darker and darker, like chill the fuck up, can we have just a least one good part of the backstory?? It's like you're staring in this abyss watching the backstory of these characters.

Though the other 2 mains of the story are dead, i was still really invested in their backstory. It started out dark and then turned into a revenge story, but ended up as a sad romance. And that's my problem with this show, which is that they made the story of the deceased 2 mains really REALLY good. It's soo perfect from A to Z that I wasn't really invested that much with the 2 Alive Mains. It's not that the 2 alive mains are boring or their story is badly written, It's just... i couldn't really relate to their story as I'm not at that age yet or I have yet to experience that part in life. So every time their part would come on, I would immediately press the 1.5 watch speed and be like "COME ON JUST GIVE ME K & CREAMS BACKSTORY!!!!". We also have a third couple that we are gonna follow throughout the show and their story is somewhat tied to the deceased mains, because they have a bigger role to play in that part, but again... wasn't really invested in anything aside from K & Cream's story.

I wonder why they didn't make this drama as K & Cream's story only?? by itself I think their story is 10/10. It would hold itself really well. Maybe the writer isn't confident that their story alone wouldn't sell well??? Though way they told the story was still unique to me and was done really well. It's like you have this Cat and Mouse chase, but the mouse is dead already and the cat is just blindly chasing.

And I'm not gonna spoil the most important twist as that would greatly ruin the immersion of the show, but yeah.. I don't think they should've called this 'More than Blue, they should've just titled this "Black: The Series" cuz the stories in the show is just different variation of the color black hahahaha I'm joking xD

minor critique - The actress of bonnie, i think her acting is very mid.

Highly HIGHLY recommend this show if you want something that would slowly chip away your heart and then glue it together again just to burn it into ashes in the end.

Very Cute and Sweet, but wasn't perfect

I wasn't really expecting much when started this series, all I know is that my sister really really liked this cdrama to the point where she watched it multiple times.

At first, I wasn't really that hooked, so I watched it at 1.5 speed. The first thing that I noticed is that the ML acting is such a robot, that it has no soul or emotions at all. I mean, I get it he's supposed to be a cold character, but he's doing it too well... and the FL acting, like she can't act at all like there's only a set of emotes that she can do and because of that, it dragged the others acting like they're all newbies. There are some side characters that I think the acting was okay.

Once I got past around ep 4-5 the acting really didn't bother me that much because the story got interesting, so I'm finally watching it at normal speed. The dynamic between the ML and FL is getting cuter and sweeter, I think that's what finally sold me on this drama. The development and interactions are soo good.

Also, jinyang the FL's best friend, is what I was expecting out of Jingjing in 'A Love So Beautiful'. This is how you write a best friend character. Jinyang is the example of the best friend character done right, she knows the flaws of FL's ex and she points it out and she's advising the FL to not get back with her ex since they're also over now. I don't know the full story of FL and her ex maybe there's more to that, I kinda wish that we had more backstory scenes of tong yao and jian yang like they didn't really show much of their relationship, i was kinda invested in them or maybe because i felt bad for jian yang, but regardless.. I'm still glad that we got closure for their relationship, so that's good.

Jinyang and Aija's relationship is really cute too, it's like a good side dish that's there to enhance the dining experience more, I hope we get a drama of these two actors, their dynamic is really cute.

Something that's really bad BAD in this drama, that you can't really ignore, is the korean dubbing... Like WTF was that, it's sooo bad. It threw me off when I first heard it, cuz it's very different from the actor's voices and it's very deep too. It's very obvious that the VAs are reading a script and trying to match the lip flaps, cuz they're saying it so slowly, but it's very enunciated, so I'll give them that, but again it's very weird... they could've just made the actors say it themselves instead of dubbing it since it is not very prevalent in the show.

The gaming side of the show doesn't really interest me. The show is very meticulously done, like i noticed the small details that the director is trying, so I wish they could've taken the time and effort to add something that would explain the know-hows of the game, that they are playing for me to care about the gaming side. Good thing I used to play dota, I kinda understand the overall gist of the game and the terminologies that they're using. Something about the FL and ML's team that I wish that they would do that they actually did was, I hope they would at least lose once if not a couple, because them keeping a winning streak would be unbelievable. I mean, it's possible for it to happen in real life, but it's only a minuscule chance and I'm glad they actually did lose a few games, and that actually contributed something to the development of the characters and their relationship as a team, so good job.

Good thing that in the beginning they only focused on the mains and fleshed out the characters for us watchers to get invested, they didn't really add crazy plots. I was kinda amazed because it's just you're typical drama that you would watch, they're not doing anything crazy and new, they're just doing it safely and hitting all the points of the story that you would kinda expect. When they add side plots, it's mostly contained within 1 or 2 episodes, it's mostly when they need to build up the next enemy that the team is going to face in the tournament. and later on, they started expanding the business/politics side of esports and it was aight.

Around the later parts of the show maybe ep 27 above, i started kinda falling off again. I don't know, something felt flat and kinda rushed, so i started watching it in 1.5 speed again, i mean I'm already this far so I just wanna end it. The ending was okay. Overall it's a cute and sweet drama. As much as it was only okay to me, I think i will rewatch some of its parts again and i would recommend this to someone.

There's No Beautiful Love At All...

I watched this 4 years ago when it was the hot topic in my country. However, I immediately got bored after 2 episodes and dropped it. But this week, I decided to give it another go and see if I'll like it since I've been really into cdramas this year. Sadly, I still did not like it, but I still managed to force myself to finish it.

First off! OH MY GOD... I don't get the hype for this. The audacity to call this "A Love So Beautiful" when this is such a fetish fantasy, poorly written drama. There was no beauty whatsoever, the characters make me fucking angry for how dumb they were all written, there was no redeeming arc, it felt like they were all the same as they were in high school when they became adults, they didn't mature at all.

In the beginning, it was BORING as hell, too many side plots to drag out the show, that don't even contribute that much to the story. I'm all for slow burn story and no matter how many side plots you're going to pull... IF you can pull it off and tie it all together. But here.... *sigh* oh my god, they were all just distractions.

Around the middle, it kinda started getting heated, because finally, the ML started moving and that's because 2nd ML is really doing that grind on getting the FL's attention. It was kinda exciting, but that's where the bad character writing really shows...

Out of all the characters, I think the 2nd ML is the only likable character here. The goated character. I would've understood if they ended his character after the High school part, but no, he showed up again when they were all in college, clearly to be wronged again. It would've been great if he and FL were the endgame.

ML is too cold as if he's some kind of robot, a character with no soul. Like the dude didn't even smile throughout the show... well, he did twice... like one in the early episodes if you watched the extra bits after an episode and second when Xiaoxi made her smile about something related to food???? When he was a doctor, I get it, you're too busy doing operations, I can also see he really wanted to spend time with FL, but he didn't do SHIT to at least explain his side to make FL understand as why she can't spend that much time with her. They only brought up the "Oh my patient died that day that's why I didn't say anything when you broke up with me, because I had a lot going on my head" like get that shit outta here... when you're girl is trying to break up with you, always try to save it and see what you can fix or did wrong, no matter how busy you are.

Xiaoxi. like, girl??? how can you be so dumb?? In the beginning, her character is only to annoy ML for how in love she is with him. I think 'When I Fly Towards You' did this well, But here it's sooo insufferable. and she kept bouncing back from ML to 2nd ML like she's soooo fragile when it comes to ML, but when they finally broke up, I don't get why they did this, they time skipped 3 years, right? and she got back with ML only in the span of 2 episodes?!??!?! It would've been great if they showed 1-2 episodes of FL healing from the breakup and what 2nd ML filled to help her with that.

Jingjing. I really had fate in her to be a good character since she was FL's best friend, but most of the time, she's so useless. When FL is going through struggles about love, she could've been there to give her the words of advice that she needs, but when she is actually there instead she would just "It's alright" and then a few moments later would encourage FL to fix her relationship with ML, like what?!?!?! I don't get how as a girl she can't see how red flag ML was. There was no moment for at least once to consider advising FL into loving the 2nd ML. smh...

Lu Yang. Also a dumb character. I understand you want to help your bro get his crush but at least point out his own red flags first. But what do you expect from a clearly idiot written character. Also, in what rights does he have to be angry with jingjing and throw tantrums, when jingjing admitted her love for the school doctor?!!??! he's just a friend?!?!? I would've understood if he pointed out that "no, you're still a minor, you're too young for him". On top of that, he finally confessed and tried to get closure, but the dude pushed her away, so wtf?!?!?

In the later episode, it kinda got fast paced a little and the ending is soooo anti-climactic, like wtf was that ending?!?!? and as I've said the characters didn't mature at all, because the way they act and talk is still the same, like you're all adults now, so at least act the part, mygoood...

I will admit this was a cute drama, I think I will like this IF I too was still in high school and didn't have a loved one, but sadly I'm not, so I wouldn't recommend watching this. was planning on doing a review without spoilers, but I couldn't really help it, as I need to point out where this drama fell off(in my opinion).

As crazy as it is, i find it good and I THINK I WANT MORE

At first i thought i was watching the wrong kanna hashimoto movie, but then i realized it really real hahahaha like what the fuck of fever dream this is... I guess it was my mistake too since i didn't look at the tags and i just immendiately went head on to the movie after seeing kanna hashimoto.

But yeah beginning of the movie might be rough cuz of the anime acting and all of its cringeness, but you'll get used to it and find it really funny and interesting.

I think it has its own charm, once you'll stuck with it. It's really a nice unique spin of the princess fairytale

Great Movie, if you like John Wick

I mean it was really really good, it's like a korean take of John Wick, but they had the ranking system of One Punch Man or maybe even My Hero Academia, but mostly close to One Punch Man. And the mc was a women, so that was kinda breath of fresh Air. Though it's kinda ironic that this came out around the same time as John Wick 4

Storytelling was good, i think in the beginning it's kindly slow because they need time to build it up, I even almost fell off, but good thing i stucked with it as i'll slowly pick up as is goes on.

The sub plot of the daughter being a LGBT was fine, it wasn't distracting or ruining you're experience with the Movie, as they weren't really focusing on in that much.

The Cinematography was really confusing at times, cuz it was like a merge of old style asian and modern cinematography. I really the visualization when Boksoon is thinking on how to kill her opponents, that was really amazing, I think that really adds to her character.

Also, just a nitpick opinion, that sex scene of boksoon and heesung wasn't really necessary imo. I think the story would still be fine if it wasn't there, but i kinda get it why they had to add it, just to show how deep boksoon and heesung's relationship go, but again still unnnecessary.

Overall, I was really invested in the world, cuz it was interesting. It would've been great if this was a TV series, cuz the movie runtime didn't do it justice as it was to short for me, but it doesn't feel like it's rushed either. Still it would've been great if the world would be explored more because it's interesting, i think there's still lots to talk about. Hope they would make a sequel or spin off TV series of this.

SOOO BORING

I watched it, cuz it looked cool in the trailer and it had a pretty interesting premise.

The idea is cool tho, ngl, but the movie didn't really deliver. There were so much lacking in this, so much so that i feel like if they had more time and i guess budget as well, they could've refined this movie more. I liked the slow burn in the early part in the movie, but it kept dragging on and on, and there's not much crumbs to make you interested, want to be hype for the payoff, but NO.

The CGI is very good in this, i'll give them that, but space sweepers had much more GOOD CGI...

Actors are great, but there's not really much to say. No one piqued my interest in terms of characters, they couldn't really flesh out much, considering they had to dump everything during a 1hr & 30mins movie.

My critiques tho, so SPOILERS!!!

The beginning already gave me a sign to exit, but i kept watching. In the intro, they will bomb you with so much text and i was like "Well, atleast show me?! don't just feed it into me"

And lastly maybe this is a nitpick critique, but during the last fight scene on the train. Like how did Kim Sang Hoon managed to go toe to toe in combat with Jung_E???? I mean, i get he's an AI, but im pretty sure there's no combat files that was uploaded in him, aside from knowing how to use guns...

Drama is GOATED, but it still has it's flaws

This was trending all over my feed when this came out and i put it off from watching it and riding the hype train, since i still have a lot of shit to watch, so this is just something to keep as a treat because i know this is probably good and i know I'll probably love it and i must say... this will probably be my 2nd fave cdrama series next to Lighter & Princess.

The drama is about the love story of a Fire Fighter, like okay i can get behind that occupation since i fancied that job when i was a toddler, and a Doctor literally the occupation that i mostly stay away from in dramas, like the medical aspect, but hey let's not judge the book by it's cover. Before this, i was watching 'The Longest Promise' and Wang Churan is in there and she's great, at first i didn't like her mainly because of her character, but later on i actually got invested in her and started to like her as an actress, so i promised myself to watch this show after cuz i wanna see this girl in other dramas.

The pacing in the first 5 episodes or so is fast like really fast because in every episode there's plot convenience for ML and FL in order for them to meet each other, i was planning to watch Episode 1 only as i was about to sleep and would plan to continue watching it the next day, but i ended up watching up until episode 4 xD. You can tell i was really hooked right away in the beginning because, even though the beginning is fast paced, i don't think that necessarily was a bad thing, because i think it was done to get your heart fluttering right away for this Couple, no bullshit here's the mains that your gonna follow, now get invested, unlike in some cdramas where the first 10-20 episodes literally half of the show is a very slow burn build up and you're just sitting there waiting when the show will start to tickle your heart and by the time it gets good there's a big chance that you've mostly fallen off because of boredom.

Then 6-20 ish or so the story started slowing down and took its time to flesh out the story, side characters, the fire fighting and medical aspect, and building up the family drama and i wouldn't say that part is where you'll get bored as it was done really really well because it's like you're playing a tug of war, they would pull you in these side plots and maybe every, now and then they would let go and show some interactions between ML and FL, like "Hey, we didn't forget that this is a love story about this two. This shit that we are building up is for the bigger picture of this whole story".

20-25 is where you'll get the payoff that you've been waiting and 26-38 is where our couple with face the problems of them being together, the family drama i would say. Now, the family drama was done really tasteful here, like this is one of the best examples of how to do a family drama without necessarily making the parents be very hateable characters and a good family drama on top of that too, i was surprised like when i got near the end i realized i actually did not bear any hatred for FL's Mom and Dad, well the dad is mostly passive in this show, but yeah, i didn't really have any hatred for the parents because they've explained their side to make you understand, why they would do these things, even though its wrong for them to do it, they care for FL so much that they would go for such lengths for her, but as good as the family drama is, i noticed they didn't really show how powerful her family's influence really are, like how deep does it go? They did show it, but i think that was just a taste of how deep the connections her family got. Then the last 2 episodes tie everything all together into a nice bow.

After watching this, i can see why some of the comments said this was unnecessarily long because if you look at the number of episodes they've actually hit the max episodes rule placed by the law and if you look at the whole show, the stories in it aren't well balanced. I think they were too focused on highlighting both the Fire Fighting and Medical aspect of this show, like what it's like to be in that occupation, the struggles and stakes that you'll encounter, that is good, i didn't mind it, but when i finished the show i'm like "Yep... okay... wait it ended? now i'm sad" because we didn't even get the wedding scene that they've been building up, nor a scene where ML shows up on FL's Family dinner which he has been saying for half of the show and maybe even a time skip scene where they have a child and they're finally a happy family. It was really funny because they still managed to shoehorn a typhoon part very late in the show and because of that we didn't get the wedding scene that we'd been expecting and I noticed the lacking of backstory in this drama, the way they do back story here, they would just show tidbits of it when a situation is can't be explained enough with just words, that's where they would insert a backstory and it's scattered throughout the series.

Let's talk about the side plots... some of the side firefighters got their own side plot around the middle and i was like "Okay?" that was really unnecessary and necessary at the same time because it actually had some effect later on in the story and poor Zhan Dapeng, i was wondering why he suddenly got his own character arc very late in the game, without knowing they'll actually kill him off the next episode. Yanchen and Yezi's side plot was so obvious from the start, i could see it from a mile away from the way yezi is being highlighted every time there's a bar scene and that side plot was really good because both of them got the character development they needed. Zhao Miao, i was wondering when she'll get her big moment aside from being an annoyance to her brother and sticking her nose in other's business, even tho she's ML's sister she's really passive throughout the show, later on, her side plot made a big 180 to Yanchen and his side plot with Yezi, which rippled through the Family drama and I was like "Wow.... I'm amazed". I was wondering if Xiao Yixiao and Jiang Yu would be the only side characters that would be left alone, but good thing they also got a good endgame later in the story.

The characters, i think all of them are good. I like Suo Jon a lot in the beginning, as he is ML's closest friend they really bounce off each other really well and their chemistry is off the charts whenever both are on screen, too bad he was taken out early in the story. I don't know why but Song yan or his actor Yang yang he's so goated here, but I noticed one thing that he does in this drama like every time he's given water or something to drink, expect it by the end of the scene he would almost finish it or if not drank it all up and the way he drinks has vibes as well, i don't think i've noticed that of him in 'The King's Avatar' i don't know, that is the only other show i've watched from Yang yang, but i just noticed that here and i find it really funny. Xu Qin too has that quirk where she would scratch her fingers or external objects and it really shows what she really is deep inside every time they would highlight it and every time she would meet her family members her spirit would immediately bend, which goes to show her persona towards them, in her family's eyes she is their little baby that they really have to protect and control, i also noticed her actress Wang Churan, her acting in here is somewhat lacking for me, every time she has a serious scene with Yang yang she can't match his energy emotionally, every time both of them are together on screen Yang-Yang's presence would dominate, i wouldn't say she's doing a bad job, it's good but i felt like it could've been better and the line delivery as well and can i just take a moment to appreciate for how pretty she is?? My god!! and she looks like Sullyoon from NMIXX at times as well, like i got a glimpse of if ever Sullyoon becomes an actress in the future. ML's parents or i must say, Aunt and Uncle, in most dramas the parents of either ML or FL are just there to be funny quirky, and maybe be an actual parents at times, but here they are actually good as Parents they're not just there passively to be funny, they are actually goated at giving the words that our couple needed.

And speaking of words, one of the things that i like in this drama is the usage of talking. the way they resolve problems with each of the characters here is through words, rarely you would see them using action to resolve a problem and i really like that about this drama.

The music in this drama, ooooohhhh.... my god! 10/10 Top tier, i think that's one of the things that sold me on this drama in the beginning because it's such an eargasm, especially that piano-violin combo plus a singer that's harmonizing in the background, ugh!!! I wanna find that ost, I think that's my favorite in this drama.

So yeah, although this drama is goated, it still has its flaws, but i highly HIGHLY recommend it, i noticed this is the 3rd drama that I've watched where it has that intro logo in the beginning and all of them really pop off another minor thing that i noticed.

Started off okay, but turned into a boring GARBAGE

My god!!! I watched this back when I was still on that Zhang Ruo Nan hype because I just discovered her on 'Cry Me a Sad River', but man... not even my hype could push me through finishing or even enjoying this drama, cuz it's just bad, like REALLY REALLY BAD... and it even took me a year and a half to realized like "You know what? Let's not even bother finishing it. I might have at least 10 episodes left, but I really just can't."

Ok so, I started watching this when I was also just getting into cdramas and I didn't know that cdramas have anime-like openings. So I got hit with a lot of spoilers in the first episode because of the opening like wtf... at least in anime, they'll try to make it look like a puzzle that you have to piece together. So already starting off really bad, and I can't really remember much in the beginning, all i know is i think it's decent, but I still watched it at 1.5speed. I think it was okay in the beginning because we're just focusing on the dynamic of the FL and 2 MLs, but the moment they've returned to their homeland and started introducing this family drama and business politics and stuff to the story, that's where it started going down to shit.

Now the family drama, it was either shit or just plain boring. I think it was kinda interesting with the lost son mystery and shit, but i think they've revealed it too early, and it's kinda predictable as well, as to who the lost son is. So maybe it's probably both shit and boring. Zhang Min's dad, my god... props to the writer for writing him as the most annoying dad, but my god! The actor is soo bad; the one scene that got me laughing so hard for how bad his acting was, is when he was choking her mistress, like.... that scene was soo bad HAHAHAHAH If you look at how he's choking this actress like, i don't how to describe it, but it was bad. I don't even think i have anything to say about his character, nor his acting, other than he's BAD. Both as the character and actor.

Zhang Min's mother, i mean... she's just there.. great. Most of the time, she's just passive, though she doesn't have that much screen time. It's understandable.

Zhang Min, my god, can you get even more annoying?? like he's really obsessing over the FL, pushing himself to be the FL's boyfriend, when the FL doesn't even wanna associate herself with him, and i feel for wenna, like why even bother considering marrying her? When it's very obvious that the girl that you really like is Luo Xi?

Luo Xi on the other hand is also annoying and is such a pushover, like just make up your mind for god's sake. I feel really bad for the 2nd ML for getting up his hopes because she's such a pushover, that's why ML keeps coming back and trying to convince her to be his boyfriend.

Tao Lun... ugh!! I'm getting 2nd Lead Syndrome. At first, I felt really bad for him, and i really really like his character, clearly written to be a good likable boy, and I've been rooting for him, but the more you watch, the more you get annoyed, like come on just stop, the girl clearly doesn't wanna be with you and only see you as a childhood friend. I skimmed through the remaining episodes that i have, and from what i saw, he ended up with wenna, and it was kinda cute. You can already tell since they've been building up to it. Of course, the revelation that he was the real son, is really meh, like okay... what else??

Wenna, when she got introduced, it was okay, but she started getting on my nerves. She got progressively annoying as you watch, but I'm glad she got that character development. Then she realized that ML doesn't love her, so that's when i started giving a shit about her character and her dynamic with the 2nd ML.

Now, I'm just gonna sum up the rest of the side characters, like you could've actually cut down most of them and given the screen time to Yang Lin and Secretary Zheng like you didn't even have to bother creating this many side characters. They're just distractions or fillers to stretch out the runtime of this drama because most of the time when it's just these side characters on screen, it's just a snooze fest for me. Like can we just get on the main topic, please?

Couldn't really care much about the business side plot. You could've just kept this on the sidelines and toned it down because of the Family and Business side plot that this became like a shit Teledrama instead of a romance-drama. At least, I'm done. I'm finally free from the shackles of wanting to finish this show, like I'M OUT! It's so garbage. This is the 2nd Drama that I've watched where Riley Wang is in it, and i feel really concerned about his Portfolio because the other one that I'm also currently watching right now is also shit, but I hope he gets a well written drama in the future because i think he's a great actor and he's cute with cute dimples.

Overall, again shit garbage drama. Don't even bother watching it if you're looking for a good story and acting, but if you're a fan of any of the actors/actresses, then go ahead if it can help you go through the atrocity that this drama is, i really wanna rate it 0.5 or even 0, but the website doesn't allow it xD. This is something that my mother or grandmother would watch, i think this is aimed for that demographic and not for my age.

Dumpster Fire

I'm actually afraid to make this review because, it might just be my ignorance towards Thai Dramas. This is my 1st Thai Series, but 4th in terms of media, so it might just be the nuance or the cultural difference that I'm not getting, but I'll do it anyway. I'll be the black sheep for this drama.

The story is like a dumpster fire. It's so wacky and garbage. It has bad writing, full of cliche plot points, shameless product placements, and is also fast-paced. I say bad writing, but there are some parts where the writer managed to hit all the points that it needs to hit story wise. It has a lot of side plots as well, like A LOT that doesn't even contribute to the main story. I appreciate the topics some of the side plots tackled, like the LGBT and family Issues regarding chasing your dreams, but for me, it was like forcing something that was not the main thing of the show. I guess it's because some of them didn't have any effect on the Main Couple as well, that's why it felt like a distraction to me. You could've either cut it down or made the runtime longer. I didn't know that you could have a Music drama, that has politics in it, it's only a little bit, but you get the point I'm trying to make. I also couldn't understand some of the character's actions or decisions like I get this is a drama, but come on... at least make it convincing. It is so bad. I say fast-paced, it's because this drama has a lot to unpack, but they had to fit it all into 10 Episodes only.

The Characters, I only came here because of the Main Actress, she's a great actress, but that alone wasn't enough. I almost dropped this show, but what kept me going was the wacky dynamic between these characters after episode 4. I'm not even watching this because of the romance aspect, but purely for shits and giggles. I couldn't really feel any of the characters, but Chalarm though... he was annoying, but because of his dynamic with ML and how it evolved later on, that I appreciate, though it kinda gave off BL vibes, which is fine because that means they got good chemistry going on. And I love how the writer stood firm and went above 100 with these characters, great job on that. Like Chalarm as an example, again he was annoying and they explored all the avenues that he could do to make him a hateable character and in the end, he realized, then he changed. So I guess you could say, he was the one that stood out to me.

The music in this drama amazed me, not because it's good, but because you can tell they got the budget or I don't know, maybe music production in Thailand is not cheap because they had a lot of singing segments here and that's also one of the annoying things. I know it's a music drama, but they got a lot of random ass singing scenes that don't even connect. I already get how the character felt, you don't have to double it down, by having him dance and sing, it's sooo random. The bgm and sfx are soo exaggerated as well, I laugh every time a character makes an expression and you have this super exaggerated sound in the background, I think the only thing left is the on-the-top editing and you have those Indian edits that you see online.

Overall, I like how it ended and how it was resolved. I think despite being a dumpster fire it somehow managed to land its own two feet at the end. How I ended up in this show is that I saw a reel of FL and I was like "Ohh... She's Pretty!" Then I found out she's an actress.

SOOO GOOOD, BUT FELL FLAT A LITTLE AT THE LAST FEW EPISODES

You know the drama is good when you're a few episodes in, but they're still cooking and you're liking it. This is the first c-drama that I thought to myself "Oh my god, is this gonna be my first 10/10 cdrama?"

I was kinda worried when I finished episode 1, cuz I thought this would be one of those shows that I would watch at 1.5 speed so I could move on right away, but I decided to push thru ep 2 and by the end of it I was like "Hmmmm... this might have a chance", so I watched the next episode and MY. GOD. I was finally hooked.

The story was SLOOOOOOW AF, but I didn't mind it, because it's good, heck even the side characters are well fleshed out. Also, since the back story was them at college being an IT student, I was kinda interested in that part, since I also took an IT course in college. So it was really fun to see them coding and the way the writers wrote it is that they kinda put good vanilla romance cutesy crumbs here and there to keep you hooked. So you'll be there sitting watching episode to episode waiting for the payoff like "JUST CONFESS ALREADY!!!"...

I think if the series didn't start at the part where they are all adult and started at the university part, I think it would've been a good start. Cuz you're watching ep 1 & 2 and you're so lost like wtf is happening then suddenly at episode 3 you're now watching a backstory??? and then they should've cut the series into 2 seasons. Episode 3 is where they should've started then ended it around episode 17/18 where the romance payoff is and that would've been a perfect 10/10 College Romance Drama because, I was worried when the ML and FL confessed to each other like "Well, they're basically together? how could you go more from this??" cuz after the confession there was a time skip, so they're are now 4th yr college, who are about to graduate and enter the world of adults. And story from there slowly started to fell off a little hence I couldn't give it a full 10/10(well, at least for me).

The transition from University to them being adults was kinda fast paced a little and then some sprinkle of bullshit and then when we got back to where the story from episodes 1 & 2 left off, that's when the drama started turning into a Business Revenge Series.

The business side was fun like them entering the Professional world of the IT Industry, specifically the Game Dev Industry, I think it's really fun. I think even if they stretch the series to 50 to even 100 episodes turning it into a Slife of Life of just them and their daily lives as Game Developers, I think I would still eat the shit out of it. But the Revenge side is where they fell flat, in the beginning, it was good, but then it's kinda getting fast paced, knowing they'll have to end it by episode 36. And then there are so much convenience, just because this character is this, so he could always do this, like no! that's bullshit. and it was not even a satisfactory revenge, because they started pulling all these cards that they didn't even hinted early on.

The acting was good, I didn't pay much attention to it since it was not that "OH MY GOD TOP TIER ACTING" it was good and that's it.

Minor nitpick criticism, even though I thought this is on par with korean dramas, like the overall product is very well presented, they still don't know how to end an episode. Like there will be an important conversation or scene and then the episode would just suddenly end.

The soundtracks are top tier, but sometimes maybe occasionally they can't time it when to play the soundtrack, or like sometimes they would play it a little late, I might download them later, so I can listen to it over and over.

Overall, this was a good c-drama and I would highly recommend it if you can sit through 20 episodes of build up.

Started decent, but got worse as it goes on

I was click-baited into thinking that I was gonna be watching an action-crime show, but that wasn't the case at all...

The story started off decent for the first 4 episodes, but when they started expanding the world and introduced lots of new characters, it slowly started going down the drain. I mostly stay within romance right, but sometimes I watch other genres for a change. When I saw this drama, I was like "Ahh, it's Ren Min. She doesn't do romance that much. It's probably action so I'm gonna get hyped". And yeah, that's what it actually was in the beginning. They went on this stealing from the rich, bringing justification to the preservation of history, and then trying to get away with it to martial arts superpowers with politics. Then suddenly they'd added romance in the mix out of nowhere, where one of the leads suddenly said "I have feelings for this person" Like, did I miss an episode or anything? or wasn't I paying attention enough? Where along the way did you fall for him? Because there was no scene that elicited romance that was highlighted at all. But yeah whatever, I'm a romance fan, so why not?

The story could've been better if it was longer, and well fleshed out, and this where it could've also benefited the 40 episodes law. There were a lot of interesting ideas that they managed to show, but because it was so fast-paced they ended up being bland. They couldn't even be consistent with the idea of having superpowers because most of the time the characters would just use martial arts, even the clan heads where they could've easily shown the power ceiling for how strong these leaders are. Although the action was pretty cool, the integration of element effects with it is jarring.

I should've known from the beginning that it's gonna get worse and they were just trying to ease me in because once in a while, there's gonna be a scene where they could've used to have a meaningful quick conversation to flesh out the characters more, but they don't, It would be just silent or would straight up ignore the character itself. For example, I don't even know that sidekick of ML in the 2nd half. Why did he want to be a sidekick? What was he doing in that village? Is he affiliated with one of the five-element families? If yes, then which? I don't know. He's just there. I guess we're not finding out.

The characters are just straight bland because there was not much characterization at all. ML and 2nd ML had that potential. They're both great actors don't get me wrong, they could've been like Naruto x Sasuke in terms of tandem and development because they brought up some interesting parts to them, but it wasn't much of a strong impact. I think I was more interested in 2nd ML towards the end because it was so amazing to see him being an upholder of justice to becoming an enemy, then realizing he's on this wrong path and trying to correct it at the end. Ren Min as FL, I loved her exaggerated playful acting, I liked her character in the beginning, but there's so much mystery to it and then suddenly they pulled this disease bullshit that wasn't built up at all. She and ML are pretty funny together when they are on screen, their characters have funny dynamic, but they don't have chemistry at all. There were some romantic moments that could've sparked it, but I just couldn't feel it. I'm sorry. And the Japanese characters in this show weren't believable at all. It's so immersion-breaking that they're speaking fluent Chinese. They could've had them speak broken Japanese, as much as they hated it, or they could've had "Translators".

Overall, this a very fast-paced show with lots of plot holes. I wouldn't recommend watching it. I was just here because of Ren Min.

BEST SEASON (SO FAR)!!

I think i really liked the cast in this one than the last season and i really like how there's a wide range of occupations in this season.

It was one of a hell of a rollercoaster ride, there were so many ups and downs, you can't really predict who's gonna end up who, unlike the last season we're some couples can already be predicted....

I realized this while i was watching.... and i think... this is my favorite tv show of all time. NO CAP. I really like how everytime i was this show, it pulls me out of reality and really draw me in. I genuinely think this is a really good show and i want more of it♥

Lastly, i think in this one in a weird way somewhat felt rushed? or like, to me i want more of the boring stuff, like the talking parts. Like to me it felt like this season could on up to 20 episodes with all the boring talking and i wouldn't mind that, because I'm really heavily interested in the casts, the raw emotions and sides to them, i want to see and hear all the things they've talk, get to know them even better, i want to know more about their characters, something like that, so in way i kinda wished for a directors cut of this season HAHAHAHAHA.
