Just not for me
This storyline for me just seemed a bit childish even though it's executed by bunch of mature actors.....Wasn't feeling it, gave it chances.....
I dropped Lighter and Princess few times then Eden Zhao stole the show and watched the entire drama. I just don't see any Eden Zhao in this drama for me coming to the rescue....
Not feeling it from the male or female lead....
I have seen plenty that are enjoying the drama. If you are one please continue to watch & enjoy the drama....
I feel Chinese drama are doing the same concepts over & over & over again.... This has the taste of familiarity about it.... This is a kind of drama to watch if you are fan of the cast or the leads.... Even will my own favourites I need force myself at times....

This drama is bad
I have watched 10 episodes and seriously couldn't continue.... I came in with alot of excitement as I know these faces and especially the female Lead being part of many fun entertaining dramas as a support however sadly I had to drop it....I need to like the cast I am watching.
The Male Lead is not likeable at all
Female Lead goes stale
The Support Cast get annoying
That's 3 strikes there
The story is boring, period!
Sorry I tried, I even went in excited but once I start making efforts to finish off a drama that's a sign to move on.

For some I think might be ok, just not for me
I watched 3 episodes and wasn't feeling it....I thought music/soundtrack was ok....
Acting overall from the Leads & Supports very good....
Story however is boring.... I said it on chats, it's clearly a low budget drama, don't expect anything with Wuxia fighting or fantasy or super special effects that will lift the budget up but the story of romance/comedy just not enough for me only....
Comments people on E8 so many clearly enjoying. If you are one of those, please continue to watch and enjoy...

Xu Kai fans please be kind.....
Sorry this drama is stupid....Both this one and other one airing same time with Ju Jingyi & Chen Zheyuan....
As I said on other review, I get these are popular Chinese video games but making it into 36 episode drama not best idea.... Mario Bros iconic Nintendo game but shocking movie.... Story is too childish, characters acting like they are in kindergarten....
Xu Kai, last year he was amazing.... I loved Snow Eagle Lord & Wonderland of Love.... That is Xu Kai at his best, darker serious cold male lead type.... This version of him warm and childish, sorry doesn't work, go back to your strengths being Wuxia fighting cold male lead, your are the best at that..... I don't blame him, it's obvious character style set for him....
Esther is sweet, beautiful face, lovely smile.... I get you are sweet warm type which does work for you.... There is a line between sweet/warm and just plain annoying, that line has been crossed.... Please steer away from these type of scripts ....
Wan Peng will say very adorable for the 3 episodes I watched.... I can see her doing well as cold female fighting Wuxia type in future dramas similar to Zhao Lusi in Who rules the World ...
Total watched 3 episodes and 5 minutes of E4, I tried, I tried 3 times after dropping it twice about can't force myself anymore..... Not for me.... Just don't like version of characters being played not the actors themselves.... Story seems bit more for younger audience....
Please be nice, just my opinion.... If you are enjoying it ignore my opinions and continue to enjoy.....

Not exciting enough
I tried with this drama however not exciting enough. The acting was ok but story not really that original & not enough to keep viewers going 40 episodes. Very repetitive!Xing Fei not really convincing in the mother role, don't think she is in her element. I think Xing Fei better suited to other modern drama roles, credit she tried something different but think the theme didn't work.
Music OST omg so annoying. Anyways I think some would enjoy which is ok, I would understand fully if do but just not for me. Not faulting the acting but the story, pacing & originality

Just not for me
I watched 2 episodes. I didn't find the story entertaining so decided to drop it........ For me it was just boring, I tried few times....The characters and leads were ok just the story didn't appeal to me. Maybe should of been more patient with the story but in the moment just felt didn't want to continue with it.......
Anyways, those watching please enjoy.
Those who want to give it a try, I suggest to give it a few episodes and form an opinion......
I am still open to watching more of these leads in future dramas, this does not change my opinion of them......

Will make this short and to the point
I am a big Zhao Yiqin fan but this drama is really bad….Lazy storyline with unexciting plot….
Female lead who is inexperienced….
Unknown support actors….
Extreme low budget drama…
All these factors that will be reflective….
I like Zhao Yiqin but fact he isn’t a top 10-20 actor so will need compromise for bad scripts and inexperienced female leads. He was good as he usually is but you can only carry a drama so far….
Duan Xing Yu as female lead wasn’t too standard to pastZYQ female leads. Hopefully she finds roles which she can express herself to her comfort level. This performance was to her comfort level and it showed but Zhao Yiqin team must see the potential if they agreed to this drama with her.

Sorry but had to drop it....
I am a big Gao Hanyu fan but unless your favourites are say Top 20 these things happen....1. You have to compromise to mediocre scripts....
2. You will be a lead in a low budget drama.....
which will have limited creativity due to the low budget....
3. Unknown Cast & inexperienced cast....
4. As Male Lead with a decent profile but not major profile you will be given a Female Lead with very low profile....
I have no problems with the acting just the script and story.... Actors did their best which was keeping me watching for 3 episodes but I think honestly given what they had this is as good as they can do.... No way this keeps anyone watching for 30-40 episodes....
Gao Hanyu is still a good actor. I have completed many of his dramas.... Song Yan Fei as Female Lead was ok, no problems with her, she has been in ok dramas in the past just like Gao Hanyu, not a massive profile....
I hope see these 2 again as leads in a drama with a better, more entertaining, more creative story/script....

I dropped this drama. I have dropped many dramas this year. This drama from the start instead of drawing the audience in felt more so pushed the audience away.Xu Kai for me and me only doesn't possess enough natural charisma & from the beginning I felt this drama was flat with the story and the characters. Elaine Zhong I am willing to give more chances as in exciting dramas but Xu Kai has had many misses lately. Again this is my opinion only.
I say it you are looking for an opinion to watch or not I say check out first 10 minutes, if appeals then watch if not move on.
