I am usually very critical of most shows.

I love this show. It is such an amazing coming of age drama. It has less to do with coming to terms with being gay, and more to do with coming to terms with being in love. Which I absolutely ADORE!

I love Ae. He is uncomplicated and simple. I love that his dilemma isn't that he is having feelings for a boy, but rather that he is having feelings at all. Period. I think that's one of the reasons I love this show so much, because I relate to Ae so much in this regard, because for me love is about who a person is. I love the awkward UST between Ae and Pete.

Pete. He is so adorable and innocent. I think my favorite interaction between Ae and Pete is when Pete smack's Ae on the chest and say "You don't have to say everything that crosses your mind." He is so adorable in that moment. It hurts me how self-sacrificing he is - like "Boy! Chompoo will get over herself! She isn't even friend's with Ae. She has met him all of ONE time! You've been spending every day with Ae for WEEKS!

Perth and Saint were adorable as Ae and Pete. I don't know about the drama that went down, and I honestly don't care. I just know that even though Perth is a baby, he exudes this maturity as Ae and even though Saint is older he has this innocence that is so amazing to watch. Yes, there is a lot of room for growth, they are still young and fresh, and it is important to remember that this is new to them, and they may or may not actually be attracted to men, so to be new to acting and to be put to far out of your element and to still have such palpable chemistry is amazing.

Pond - OMG another nosy best friend that I loved. What an adorable yet annoying character. He kinda grows on you. Like Ae says, if he keeps talking, he'll be your friend. Hahah. He is so cute. Ae's clueless Love Guru.

Can - I love can. He like a little kid. I actually thought Plan was younger than Mean, but he's actually older, whodathunk! I love how fiercely loyal he is towards Ae and Pete. I love how he sticks up for them. How he defernds them to the end of the world. First, going from "gay is disgusting" (because Tin is trying to provoke Can) to "gay is only disgusting if you (Tin) are gay" (when he realizes that Tin is saying that Ae and Pete are gay and so if Can says "gay is disgusting" that would mean his friends are disgusting, and Can only hates Tin, so he has blind acceptance for his friends, not questioning it, not caring that they are gay, he loves his friends, he will stand by them till the end of time). I love him so much. I hate that he is so preoccupied in his brain by all his thoughts, and is so haunted by them. I hate that it causes what happens at the end. I can't wait for LBC2.

Tin - My least favorite character, but I get it. I don't like that he coerces Can into going on dates. That he uses physical affection as "payment" for things, like Can is a prostitute or something. I hate that. But I also hate that he is so broken and so unloved. I feel for him. I really do.

Tum/Tar - I miss Tharn/Type!Tum, he was hot. LBC!Tar is cute, he can stay. I am glad we got to see some of their relationship, but I could care less. It was not related to Ae/Pete or Can/Tin in anyways so it didn't matter I didn't understand why it was in this series. Like Tum/Tar never even meet the main characters.

Techno/Kengkla - the non-con made me cringe. and the manipulation made me double cringe. Not looking forward to more of that in LBC2... >_<. I miss Tharn/Type!Techno. He was such a spaz I loved him! Again, I didn't understand why this pairing was given as much importance as it was. But at least Techno interacted with Can to some extent.

Type - Earth is cute. But I miss the harsh accent and abrassiveness that Gulf gives Type. Also, are Type and Tharn having problems? Or was Type just super involved in everyone's business because he was so happy in his own life and had nothing better to do with life?

Are TharnType series and LBC series gonna continue to have different actors playing the characters that overlap? Like Techno, Tum, Tar, Technic, Kengkla, Champ, etc? That'll be confusing... also all of them play the characters differently which characterizes the characters differently.... >_<

This show is so CUTE!

I love it. The couples are so cute. The actors are adorable and do an awesome job!

Boun/Duen - Duen is such a puppy! When he smiles everything is brighter, I swear his woobie face makes everything better. Boun - some people are complaining that he said "I don't like men, I only like Duen" but whatever. To me sexuality labels are totally a social construct and maybe Boun is demisexual he doesn't have to like men to like Duen. He doesn't have to like anyone to like Duen. In fact when he started this whole thing he DIDN'T like Duen. Even he doesn't know when he started falling for Duen and his stupid, clueless self. Stop getting annoyed because of this line it's not a big deal not everyone who falls for a man has to be "gay" they can be demi, they can be bi, they can be pan, they can be fluid, they can be that 99% straight on the kinsey scale that liked women and now all of a sudden fell for a man okay? It's a sliding scale.

Mek/Boss - I think this one is my favorite couple. I love LOVE L-O-V-E Mek. He is my favorite character I think (apart from the creepy shrine to Boss a la Helga from Hey! Arnold). Boss is so clueless I want to smack him upside the back of the head. I mean Mek confesses to Boss every episode I think. And then says "lor len" (to kid/mess/play/joke around). YOU ARE NOT EFFING JOKING, MEK! STOP SAYING "LOR LEN"!!! I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!

Ram/King - OMG! RAM'S RBF gives me LIFE! And Ram's Brother knows him so well!! I AM CRYING BECAUSE OF HOW MUCH I LAUGHED THANKS TO THAT KID! King is adorable too. What's even funnier is that Perth (the actor who plays Ram) is the oldest cast member, and he plays the Junior.

Frong really annoys me. Thara is so cute. I can't believe they're gonna be pairing these two together. I hope Dr. Thara can redeem Frong for me.

Ting is so cute!! I'm so glad this show is treating her like a main cast member and giving her so much importance. I usually see BLs cast female actors & characters to the wayside usually so this is such a nice change.

THE KIDS!!! HOW CUTE ARE THEY!!!

I love the sound track of this show. It is so sexy. I couldn't think of another word. I love it. It is so soothing and beautiful!

If I have to give one critique? Mek is voiced over. The actor playing him (Ryan/Raff) is Chinese, and he didn't speak Thai when he played Mek. So they hired a Thai actor to dub over his character, this is very obvious and you can hear the change in ambient sounds and etc. when he is speaking. It is very odd. But by episode 3, I was used to it. I started glossing over the fact that Mek was dubbed over.

I loved it!

I loved the graphics!

The game play. The relationships, which weren't about romance at all, but about friendship.

I loved how the game characters looked like the actors that played them so that we as the audience knew who was who. I really enjoyed the game play. It reminded me a little of LoveO2O but it was far superior (because it was actually animated and seemed more like gameplay interaction than liveaction).

I know there's supposed to be a romantic undercurrent between Ye Xiu and Su Mucheng, but it's not at all apparent in the show. You wouldn't think they were anything other than really good friends.

I wish there was more! I loved the actors in this show as well: Leon Lai, Jiang Long, Sun Ning, Li Jun Chen, Kido Gao (oh gosh, this man is so good looking with glasses)!

From the storyline to the motivation to the way Ye Xiu overcomes everything, recruits everyone, builds a family. Its all so great. I love this show so much. If it wasn't so gosh darn long I'd watch it again. I definitely wanna watch the anime now.

Loved it, but the writing was so bad!

So, the premise in interesting, but the writing is so bad. This is kinda the criticism I have with most thai shows. IDK if its because of bad subtitles or if the story is actually that bad, but this show had so much wasted potential.

I actually quite liked First. I know a lot of people did not like Ryan's acting, but I thought he came across a lot more natural than many newbies - and he *IS* a newbie! While I really could not empathize with Zee and how he treated people, I did think that Frame did a much better job playing Zee than playing Sprite. Also, if Sprite was pretending to be Zee shouldn't he also act like Zee so that he passes for Zee? First has known Zee since they were kids, how does he not know about Sprite. I get that the parents were divorced and the families were not in contact, but the coach seemed like he was close friends with their mom. Sprite was so exaggerated and comical I could not with him. I did love the way Sprite fell for First and tried to make the team a team despite his brother, but it just seemed to strange to me that the team just accepted that this person who is acting nothing like Zee is Zee.

I also didn't understand why Sprite did not confide in First like a bajillion episodes ago. Your lover keeps calling you by your siblings name. Isn't that an ick? Shouldn't he deserve to know who he's sleeping with if you reach that point? I think that was messed up! Especially when Zee and the Girl were involved and Sprite kept insisting he wasn't involved with her. Like what did you think was going to happen. Zee seems to despise First, what did Sprite think was going to happen?

TL;DR: I thought the cast did a fairly good job given how bad the writing was. It is worth a watch if you're interested in movies like parent trap / she's the man and etc that involve twins switching places with each other. Its one of the few BLs focused on Sports so that was also interesting.

Midsummer Night's Dream meets Twelfth Night (kind of)

I absolutely loved this show. Usually I find C-Dramas overly dramatic and way too long. This was 24 45-min episodes which was totally manageable.

The characters were cute and loveable - especially the sickly groom and the martial-arts bride and their super cute interactions. The noble bride and military groom were also very loveable, and added an element of maturity to the show. I loved the side characters too - like pingwei, the bride's handmaiden, the apothecary boy and his adoptive mom, the mute sister and master Liu.

The motivations of the villian and his accomplices were a little unbelievable IMO. Especially given that his grandma doted on him and gave him whatever he wanted.

Fun fact, Juan Zi who played the queen in the 2023 version played princess chang ping in the 2001 series.

I actually really really loved this show.

I am not a big Lee Jong Suk fan, but I think some of the projects he chooses are really good! He's really talented at choosing projects - W, Pinocchio, I Hear Your Voice.

I enjoyed every aspect of this show from the "mystery" to the friends to lovers. I'm glad the two "sons" found each other. I wish they would have met earlier.

I wish there was a season 2 where their story would be explored further. There is so much more of a story to be told.

I watched this for Kim Young Kwang not gonna lie. I first saw him in Good Doctor and fell in love with him. But what made me stay for this show was Jin Ki Joo. She is amazing!! Also Koo Ja Sung. He is so cute - his smile is sooooo cute.

*********SPOILERS*************
The story is kinda meh. It's about a demanding boss with a chip on his shoulder who falls in love with his secretary, over played plot. Boss is well known to be able to read people. Secretary is super awesome at her job but still gets fired because Boss has trust issues. Due to some reason boss losses his ability to see faces, and the only face he does see is his secretary's - so he can't fire her.

Boss has been set up on a blind date by his family. Blind date doesn't show up. Secretary who was out with her friends and is dressed up shows up to inform him, but he mistakes her for his date, and for the first time in her life he treats her well so she plays along. He only recognizes her for her when she's in her secretary outfit - red cardigan.

Other side of town Boss's best friend is having a date/business meeting with Boss's blind date. It's a hot mess.

*********END OF SPOILERS***********

I enjoyed the premise. I loved the acting. I loved how the actors elevated the mediocre script. All the actors were BRILLIANT! Kim Young Kwang, Jin Ki Joo, Koo Ja Sung, Kim Jae Kyung. Amazing. All. Around! VP was meant to be a little cheesy and slapstick and OTT. And they both did a great job pulling that off. And when they needed to bring her brilliant moments to light they totally did that too. AMAZING JOB.

So this kept showing up on my Netflix recommendations and I kept skipping over it because the name sounded so boring. But then when I read the synopsis I was hooked. I had to watch it.

Story - I love the ideology behind the story and the conceptualization of the storyline. The idea of becoming self-aware that you are actually a character in a comic book, and then everyone having to come to terms with the fact they are not actually the protagonist, or even an important character. I loved that.

Do-Hwa is probably my favorite character in this show. Him and Dried Squid Elf. He was just so cute and adorable. With his "I'm gonna give up on you, but I can't, but I'll support you from the sidelines, why must I play this stupid violin" "OMG this is so cheesy" and he's so cheesy! I LOVE HIM SO MUCH! HE IS SO CUTE! SOOOO CUTE!!

DSE was so cute too. With his cryptic yoda-ing, and the way he's cold to Gyeong. And the way he's secretive and dodgy. I love it. I love how protective he is of YKW. I'm so glad she came at the end. <3

Gyeong is my second favorite character. Second-lead syndrome it is real! Although, I totally get not rooting for him. I wasn't in the beginning, but when I started to realize that he was being self-aware. When I started to realize that he did actually love Dan Oh, but was stuck in the role he had to play. In the Shadow is when we see how frustrated he is by the fact that his father is using Dan Oh for her money, and using her sickness and her affection for Gyeong to his advantage. In the Shadow we see how much Gyeong is suffering. How much he doesn't want to lose Dan Oh like he's lost everyone he loves, like his mom. The reason he hates the hospital is because he watched his mother suffer and die there. And now he's watching the woman he loves do the same. It's so sad. I actually love Gyeong and his suffering so much. And I usually don't like the tragic boys who don't like to talk and hurt the girls they love. But Lee Jae Wook was adorable. I totally felt everything he was putting down. I love his story with his brother - I wish they expanded more on that. I wanted more. That was such a sweet ending for them. I'm glad they have each other even if they have a horrid father.

Dan Oh was annoying! At least in the first few episodes. And then later on when she refused to listen to what Gyeong had to say, and she just kept talking over him. But I guess I can understand where she's coming from, when you're constantly never given a voice, and you're having to shove your feminist side down because of external factors, and then you're finally allowed to be yourself. It's freeing. But she grows on you. And I really love how strong she is.

Ha Ru was my least favorite character. I mean I get it. Love has the power to transcend the will of the writer and all that junk. But oh gosh. When he was a background character his arc made sense. When he was an "extra" like Dan Oh and Dried Squid Elf, his arc no longer made sense with the whole "he can change my story" thing. Because then he was a character in the book. He was no longer a nameless, background character who could do whatever he wanted whenever he wanted. It made no sense. Whatever.

Overall. I loved the idea of it. Execution was mediocre. I loved the whole idea of the two books thing.

I loved the peripheral characters like the best friend of Dan Oh who was also the bully of Yeo Ju Da, because she seems like she would have been a nice girl, but then she's a total B**ch.
