How much will a legendary warrior risk to save his people and the woman he loves?

Zhong Kui (Chen Kun) is a fabled warrior with mysterious powers. The minor deity Zhang Diao Xian (Winston Chao), who controls the city of Hu, dispatches Kui to Hell to steal the valuable artifact known as the Dark Crystal and rid the city of all demons.

While carrying out his mission, Kui learns that his long-lost love Snow Girl (Li Bing Bing) has been enslaved in Hell. When Snow Girl is then sent from Hell to the city of Hu to retrieve the Dark Crystal, the couple face off on opposite sides. Where will their loyalties lie when their feelings for one another get in the way of their missions?

A 3D fantasy  adventure about a demonic killer, "Snow Girl and Dark Crystal" has an  incredible visual and influenced by games of the genre, which makes  cinematography the most prominent. However, CGI's  exaggeration of action overloads the romantic spark of the central  characters causing the whole story to fall into the background.
In  short the technological elements are noticeably superior to those of  recent Chinese big budget costumes, although the 3D effects do not seem  as sharp or vibrant as they should in capturing the captured continent.
