Reply 1988 is one of my favorite dramas and when I started watching Sunny, I started getting the same vibes and feels I did while watching that drama.
Reply 1988 is a drama while Sunny is a movie, but both occur in a similar time period in the past and evoke nostalgic feelings even if you didn't live through that time period yourself.
The friendship theme is strong and both the drama and movie are slow paced, yet interesting, funny, and realistic.
You'll find yourself laughing, crying, feeling sentimental while connecting to all of the characters!!! :")

The both movies is about friendship. But Acoustic is more friendship and music, it's more like kdrama show Shut Up Flower Boy Band. But Sunny it's totally awesome movie and I love it.
If you'll like one then you'll definitely like the other! It's both about friends and has the same kind of humor, especially the slow motion fighting part resembles each other! Sunny is a bit more serious though :)
Both focus on female friendships and depicts the realities of life and youth. I love how Just dance shows us the obstacles of life of all the girls, similar to sunny. In both of these, we see the coming of age story of the main character and the development of her high school friendships. While also learning life lessons.
If you can't get enough of them (the OG squad), try watching the Japanese remake.
Same plot but different feels. You'll get a glimpse of early 2000's jpop culture and kawaii aesthetic kogal girls. Though the main characters were reduced, the casting was superb as the old and young versions have a huge resemblance to one another, making it more convincing and not confusing to watch. Also, there's a lot of dancing, and the ending here is not a cliffhanger compared to the original.
Enjoy (^._.^)

Sunny and Girls' Generation 1979 are both set around similar time periods and both focus on the difficulties of friendship and love as a teenager. Both movies deal with the topics of unrequited love and overall have similar vibes. The first seen of Girls' Generation 1979 really reminded me of Sunny that's why I recommend it. Either way, just watch it, you won't regret it.
