Irritated
I have never been so irritated with the two leads of a show before. TenTen and Taliw irritated me very much for different reasons. TenTen for his indecisiveness . He knew he has feelings for Taliw and even loves her but he continues on his merry way, blowing hot and cold to Taliw and playing with other girls feelings. Taliw made me more angry because she let TenTen stomp on her feelings all throughout the drama, without saying anything and she still kept running to him, smiling in his face and just being a doormat to him. I cannot get behind a " love" or female lead like that.TenTen would have continued blowing hot and cold to Taliw if she didn't have a great guy ( King) in love with her and showing her that. And if she did not accept his proposal, King bent over backward and was a rock for Taliw.
I hate it when the love interest all of a sudden comes running and wakes up when that happens, which Tenten did. Also Taliw " backbone", when she turned down Tenten when he came running the first time did not last long. She should have had him wait at least 6 months before giving him another chance. I was soo angry at that. Yeah he finally told her he loved her and " knew his mind" or whatever but like she told him, he played with her continuously before. King was the only brightness and good character out of the young ones.
Anyway. this is not a rewatch for me. I do not know how the other versions are but this story is a no, for me.

Why this is preferable: TenTen's character here has higher EQ compared to other versions that although initially he was aloof, he wasn't cold and you catch many glimpses of him smiling because of Thaliw. And it was better scripted in terms of tying back to their history of being childhood friends and his first love. Thaliw's character was written in a way that shows although she is slow, but she isn't an airhead or blindly clingy. So it was more acceptable than other versions although I generally and usually don't like my heroine like this. Then there's the love that was simple and like they say it's not about compatibility or thinking with your head. It's all about the heart. The folded stars really threw me back a decade ago when I folded them for my boyfriend. Sweet reminders. Then there's the romantic settings. The scene under the willow tree with sparkling lights was my favorite. Very picturesque and beautiful.
Why only 8/10: unlike full house there's a lil too much screetime on unimportant charactwrs like NamKang who I didn't care to know. Then later on we have Nana. again wasting precious screetime. Episode 15,16,17,18 were forgettable, wallowing and I dislike ten tem immensely to the point I wanted to walk into my screen and shake some sense into him. Episode 19 was mostly sad. It wasnt until episode 20 when it redeemed itself. So in all about 5episodes that spoiled what could have been much better if they didn't show TenTen uncertain for so long.
Acting was a full marks. Like my review on Full House. Chemistry on Aom Mike always top notch. The character of King was great too and nicely acted. I'll miss seeing Aom and Mike since I watched their 2 dramas back to back. Here's hoping they will start filming season 2 soon.

I don't like kiss me Thai drama cause aom and Mike don't compactible couple.I my opinion Mike to compactible with zhang yuxi because Mike d Angelo and Zhang yuxi very very cute couple

But aom sushar more suitable with Tina suppand in yes or no drama.. very no compactible with Mike d angelo.

THis was the most logical version of itazura na kiss. i watched this ages ago. i think i will rewatch.
itazura na kiss always got me disgusted and angry and annoyed. i always left the the itazura versions half watched or incomplete.
i started watching this cause damn, mike is hot.
but it was the most realistic version . taliw or kotoko wasn't sharp, but she was not dumb. she did not lack basic common sense to live. she just wasn't outstanding smart. she was average and slightly hopeless romantic. but she could acknowledge with her hopeless romanticism. she knew she wouldn't die if the guy she likes wouldn't like her back. she could , and probably would find someone else.
she did not lead the 2nd guy on unnecessarily.
SHE HAD A GODDAMN PERSONALITY FOR FRICK's SAKE!
She was not blank unlike the other kotokos. her identity just wasn't irie/tenten's girlfriend. she was lot lot more than that!
AND THANK GOD IRIE WAS A HUMAN WITH AN HEART HERE.!
like oh god, he considered her as a human as well. he respected her. he didn't just view her as complete trash. he always had considered her. he treated her like he would treat 10 other ppl. no extra hate or humiliation( unnecessarily). this irie can smile, can have fun, can become down to the earth. he is kind! !

GREAT Adaptation!!!!
I watched this lakhorn about a year ago almost immediately after watching the Korean adaptation Playful Kiss. At the time, I mostly skipped through the episodes. I was new to the world of Asian Dramas, and honestly, I was more into Korean dramas. I didn't take the opportunity to really appreciate this amazing work of art.After watching the Korean, Thai and Taiwanese adaptations, I can safely say that this was one of the best adaptation I have come across. In this adaptation, Tenten shows that he actually cares for Taliw. We would see the struggle he went through in his decisions, whether to ignore, date or breakup with Taliw. In the other adaptations, the feelings of the male lead weren't really expressed. They were very stifled. I just assumed that the ML and the FL lead would end up together because that's how it's supposed to happen. From as early as episode1, we could see that Tenten had feelings for Taliw.
And let's not forget the chemistry between these two. It was on FIRE!!!!! The way tenten looked at Taliw, it was absolutely mesmerising.
In the other adaptations, especially the Korean adaptation, the FL would chase after the ML until it was embarrassing to watch. In the female lead's eyes, the ML could do no wrong. No matter how crappily he treated her, she'd always have a smile on her face... arms wide open, ready to accept him as soon as he changed his mind. The ML would take her feelings for granted. It was almost like he felt that no matter what her did, the FL would only and always come back to him. What I loved about this adaptation, was that the FL was not a complete dimwit and she stood up for herself when the ML would treat her badly. In the end, she has the common sense to say no when he came around again with some sorry excuse of an apology. She made him work for her forgiveness.
I really fell in love with Taliw's second love interest. He treated her like she was the air that he breathed. He loved her unconditionally. He was sensible and not a complete basket case. He cared about the female lead's feelings and respected her decisions. Unfortunately, in this adaptation, out of the many couples, only the main couples ended up with a happy ever after. For the Korean adaptation, we saw where the FL and ML got married and a brief glimpse of their life as a married couple, whereas with the Thai adaptation, the ending seemed a little rushed and they only got engaged. I loved this adaptation, and will certainly watch this again in a couple years or so.

story of childhood sweetheart as time goes they involve in their life but still somewhere in their heart they stays
the best thing in drama is its maturely and smartly written

the fact great about FL she love him but she never impose herself to him and never plead to him for her love, before saying of ML she move side of his way, when he ignore her she never bother him, she wants his happiness but never said for once she destroying inside.
TENTEN----------
ego matters in boys always, previous incident of his life he never forget . he loves her but don't want to admit it, thought process of tenten " only i have to rights to hurt her and make her happy " when people try to hurt taliw he protect her & if her smile is not cause of tenten he feel jealous.
PROPOSAL--------
the best ever proposal in drama industry even i thought in real world also no one proposed like it " taliw i want to marry you from birth to 6 yrs it is easy to be my bride she must 1) eat a lot 2) know cooking of fried batter chicken 3) not love anyone else 4) no matter what happen i always love you...
i didn't write 10 letters but i did write one *************************************************************** (don"t think that i forgot dialogue, word by word i remember it , more than 20 times i watched it i liked this drama so much, please watch it and enjoy as much as i enjoyed it)
when she accept him, first time in show ML smile so wider with ease, that smile was killer smile (no doubt what ever he do's in this show it has its own charismatic charm but i really want to mention the proposal smile )
PARENTS---------
as i said it written in maturely and smartly, parents want their child should be together as they are together as family, they suggested their thought to their child but never enforced it on them and never interrupt to their decision, wisely handling their matters without involving and hurting them
TAKE ON REMAKES/SEQUEL-------
i think i've watched 5 or 6 version of it including kiss me, definitely "kiss me " is one which i don't want to criticize and other are "its started with kiss", " they kissed again", " playfull kiss", " playfull kiss special youtube version" for me every version have their own flavor( it depend on people thought and what they expected to drama)

The Male Lead
I think that Kiss Me overall was really good because I like they had many obstacles to overcome before they could finally get together. The main male role was super stubborn when came to his feel he did not want to accept them fully because he I guess was still suprised and he was already reject by her when she was little. Th music they choose for some scence could have been better but overall the whole production and film was good. I like the way they introduce love rivals kind of sort at least.Was this review helpful to you?
I think this series is something that everybody can understand and relate to it at some point. Is one of the best series I ever saw in my life so I will say it again, IT'S WORTH IT TO GIVE IT A TRY, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT , SO PLEASE WATCH!

It's a bit different from the others
Honestly of all the versions of Itazura na Kiss I love the Japanese adaptation the most. The original taiwan version is good but was too long for me.The thai adaptation made me forget the korean remake. This version had some changes compared to the other remakes. What I really like in this version is the female lead Taliw tried to let go of her feelings for Ten Ten when she said goodbye after failing the exam. And how she stood up for herself when she confronted Ten Ten that she had tried to forget him but he didn't allow it only causing her more pain.
I'm glad that King didn't have that almost forceful kiss and I feel bad that this version does not have the happy ending for him making me wish there should be a part 2. Of all the remakes this is the most likable and relatable friend zoned second male lead.
I really loved the childhood friends arc which was not in the other versions it gave meaning to why the male lead didn't like the female lead.
The ost is cute I can't help but loop it while I listen. I think I watched it 5 times already but it's not boring for me yet.

I’ve watch playful kiss korean drama in 2010 and I didn’t know that kiss me is a remake of playful kiss until i watched the half of the first episode. And i was upset for the first 3 eps because the storyline wasn’t same as before until it reached the 4-20 eps, i felt like I wasn’t going to leave my bed and watching the drama!!!!! It was an amazing drama!
The way the whole cast of kiss me presented their talented act is so tremendous! The moment when i cried along with talew, the moment when i hated tenten so much! The moment when I wanted king to be talew’s man because tenten was hurting Talew so bad. I LOVE IT ALL!
As for this drama, i think certain people might have a ‘Second Lead Syndrome’ as King treated Talew better than TenTen and he’s handsome too BUT NO! THE SYNDROME WASN’T THERE! NO MATTER HOW BAD TENTEN TREATED TALEW IN THE PAST, YOU’L ABSOLUTELY WANTING THEM TO BE HAPPY!
I have more to review but i have to stop here because i’m going to search another Amazing Thai Drama! SO DO WATCH THIS MOVIE I PROMISE THAT YOU WONDER BE DISSATISFIED!

At the same time, it never failed to give those butterfly in the stomach feelings and the way he stared! Mike is so commendable at the same time for taliw.This is my first time to watch a thai drama so i am not sure if they usually do this way. Theres a lot of question what happen to the "parties" i just hope they are able to explain this further because it did not make sense that the main characters will have happy ending. I love this adaption and i hope there are still part two !
