Both are Older woman-Younger man, living together, falling in love without realising, being friends first... both are great and lovely all the way through ?

If you are into the trope of a live in relationship with the female lead being dominated in power, this one is for you! Though both the leads are lonely in some way and need each other to complete their lives.

Based on the same Manga. But the story follows only the basic outline of the manga and all the other things are messed up like character development, emotions ect.In my view if you love the Japanese drama then you are going to hate this film.

Similarities:
- Their relation changes through story: in the beginning she just offers him a place to stay and he just does some housework and cooks for them instead
- In both stories a girl finds a boy next to her house and then they start to live together
- I kinda feel that EL is next adaptation of original story presented in KWP based on manga/anime
- Romance / comedy / cooking

Same with the 2003 version: The main similarity is the on/off mode of our main character and their need to hide their insecurities and personality traits they think that contrast their "perfect" image(if you ask me everyone shows a different face depending on where they are anyway) . Another similarity is the sweet/demanding persona of the mls. Also older woman/younger man trope happens in both.

Noona romance. The FL is an older career woman who has had several bad relationships / little success with love. The ML fell for the FL when he was a kid and reunites with her years later, when he moves in with her.

Similar to the FL's appreciation for LZA's hair when it was long and fluffy (which earned him the nickname Flower Fairy), the FL in Kimi Wa Petto loves the ML's soft fluffy hair. His hair and eyes remind her of her childhood pet Momo, which leads her to end up allowing him to live with her as her "pet".

The MLs in both dramas are younger, artsy (Takeshi/Momo is a dancer similar to LZA's role as a singer and musician), affectionate towards the FL / make an effort to comfort her when she comes home at the end of the day, and puppy-like. The parents of both MLs disapprove of their choice to pursue a career in the arts.

Both dramas have excellent cuddles.

Both of these jdramas feature older woman/younger man romances, and both have male leads that are dancers. The progression of the romance is fairly similar, but Second Love is a lot faster with intimate scenes.
