I am going to start of by saying Takenaka Naoto as Kurosawa Kousuke was the real star of this drama.  I have loved him in everything I have seen him in and this was no disappointment.  His outfits alone are amazing. All the "Older generation" in this work are amazing and shown in much better light than most dramas from "Chairman" to the Architect to Kurosawa. They all seem wise and have feelings vs. the usual Stuck in their ways way older people are usually portrayed.

Now onto the rest of the cast and story, it is not as cut and dry as it seems with the first four episodes.  The twist happens and a great Juxta-positioning occurs.I will not spoil it, but It is worth a watch if you like family dramas or Dramas about brothers.  Romance is there but while it SEEMS the main focus, it really isn't.  Its a solid office/company/family drama that, like family, will make you sad, frustrated, happy and then satisfied by the end.

I find this drama is so underrated. This drama deserves more recognition.  I love the way the story is made very realistically with the setting of the business world. The story also brings you the journey of self-discovery and development as well as roller coaster ride of emotion. Yamada Ryosuke definitely did a very amazing job. This is my first time I watch his project and he outdid my expectations. I think I would look at his projects more in the future. The chemistry between Takada Yu and Azusa was shown greatly as well as the intensifying rivalry between brothers. There is a plot twist that I did not expect at the end but overall, I enjoy the whole journey.

Cain and Abel was an okay drama.

The story had some intensity, especially towards the ending. Actually, the ending episodes were the ones that made the drama worth watching. The rest was kind of boring and tiring to watch.

The performances, on the other hand, were really good. Both actors were great and their character had a nice character development. They also had chemistry and that helped the drama a lot.

So, overall, Can and Abel was okay, but nothing spectacular, as it was a bit boring and the story was not too surprising.

Given the title, if you were able to read the specific story in the Bible you will already have an impression of what the story all about. And yes, they are quite similar. It's a story of two brothers born in a very rich family with a business to manage. And how jealousy overpowered them.

Though the story is not new too me since the series was also an adaptation from an American movie/series still I was in awe on how they wonderfully put it up together. My emotions seems to be riding in a boat, its not stable. I think I'm one with the series. It has a perfect plot but what really makes the series more appealing are the lessons that we could get from it. It's just perfect.

Acting skills? Nah, Yamada never failed me. I am a fan. :-) Other casts gave their best also. And if I were to rate it, I will give a 10/10. I am not that easy to please, its just that the series gave me the satisfaction I wanted.

The best and most important thing about Japanese drama is that it intensify events and feelings in a short period of time. In this drama , they showed a lot of feelings and showed that logical thinking, conclusion, and analysis are necessary, but not more important than relying on intuition. One of the thoughts that he focused on is family and its importance, and that brotherhood is the most important , It doesn't matter if we disagree or be different in thoughts or principles, but it doesn't lead to hatred or destruction. I also like the Japanese drama switching between events and people, what you expect the solution becomes the problem and what you expect the villain becomes peaceful and good.
