Story: the story has me caught on an emotional roller coaster from the first few min. I literally almost cried. That type of influence is pretty powerful especially in the beginning. As the series continues on we learn more about the characters and we see them develop VERY well. Despite being a series about a second chance at life it feels new and different from the other ones. It has a very good moral lesson and a strong emotional impact.
Acting/Cast: 11/10 Bernard and teddy are so comfortable with each other and i can see in their eyes and the way they look at each other that there are times while they are shooting scenes where they fall for each other. I can't complain about the cast either as they all did very well. They just look so in love and Bernard does such an amazing job at showing how obsessed he is with teddy's character.
Music: The music is another component to the emotional roller coaster. The soundtrack has me in my feelings even in places where i can't relate (like going back in time 9 years). I just love the piano and the timing for the music couldn't be any better.
Re-watch value: if you like crying i'd definitely recommend watching this series again.

The plot is not realistic. All happened beacuse of simple misunderstanding that only happened on romance drama in the 80s. The characters are too many with lots of side stories for a 4 episodes drama. If this was a 10 episodes drama, it will be much better.
The story about a man died in a car accident after been told by his boyfriend (his senior from that he will married a girl. Luckily he been given a second chance and gone back 10 years when he was 19 and had not met his boyfriend. THis time he will do what it takes to not fall for his boyfriend. But can he resist the temptation?
Though the story is mediocre but the biggest plus on this series are the skinship and the kissing scenes. There are so many many many of that and more. In fact I am pretty sure this only 4 episodes drama had the most kissing scenes from any other Asia drama that ever produced. BL or non BL. Hot. hot. hot.
The chemistry of the two main actors were off the roof.
So don't watch this drama with your parents or friends that are not comfortable with lots of skinship and kissing scenes. hehehehe
The 2 songs from this series were very good and set the mood for the drama perfectly.
Rewatch value is 9. Cause its only had 4 episodes with only less than 20 mins per episodes.

I enjoyed watching this. However, there is a lot to be desired! I needed more sweet scenes between them. They were absolutely adorable during those moments and their chemistry during those sweet moments were on point. However, there were too little of them :((( I absolutely adored the part in the kitchen wherein they're just being adorable to each other. The ending was super adorbs as well. It did make me think though, isn't it tiring knowing the fact that you're reliving 10 years worth of your life like wuuuut it's sad they didn't get to tackle that. I mean, I won't be able to bear it if I have to relive 10 years of my life, especially being able to compare how your life was back then to how it is now. Like wUT. Anyway, it was still adorable. This series was short, 4 episodes around 75 minutes run-time, which if binged can be seen as one typical-length movie. HOWEVER, so much story is packed into that, with so many emotions and such a thought-provoking narrative. I couldn't help but think of my own past and kept asking myself if I would (or even could) make the same decisions the main character made.
The chemistry between the actors was fantastic and very believable. It was predictable in parts, and there's a strong seme/uke trope so I docked the story a star, but the title is Obsessed, so it lives up to its name. You will cry as there's both a lot of sad and sweet moments in this video. No screen time is wasted. The music was good too, fit the scenes. Definitely wanna re-watch this with a friend.
TL;DR: Would you give up on a tragic true love if you could change history? Think about it.

Hard to watch
I realize that with the title called Obsessed it was intentional that we get pretty questionable characters in this. I realize dark romance is not everyone’s type of thing. For me, I know I’m trash and a degenerate but I have limits. I’m okay with dark romance as long as its self-aware. But, that’s not the case here. It’s romanticizing the relationship here with the two leads. I found it hard to watch when you see Jiang forcing himself onto Shao Yi Chen. Nothing about that is romantic yet Yi Chen resists, but also melts into it?!!! I was left shocked and very uncomfortable. Hypothetically, let’s say that none of that happened. Let’s pretend for a moment that the sexual assault doesn’t happen in the drama. It’s not a good drama. I couldn’t understand why the romantic leads even liked each other? Also going back to the main premise, I’m confused. So, Yi Chen is heartbroken and dies after running away from his lover and getting hit by a car. He gets reborn with a second chance to live his life. He vows never to fall for his lover this time around. I’m confused because he doesn’t try very hard to resist lol. Like boy!!!!!! You have no self-restraint and there are ways to take yourself out of the toxic environment! Anyway, despite all this I do like the actors. I would like to see Teddy Ren in other roles but I don’t see that he did anything after this job which makes me sad.Was this review helpful to you?

The story is interesting, in my opinion. I won't deny that some scenes were hard to watch. Honestly, why did Jiang Jing Teng do that to Shao Yi Chen in the tent? He really thought that by doing that, Shao Yi Chen would open up more to him or stop Shao Yi Chen from running away?The meaning behind the title is a cool detail (Most HIStory titles have deep meanings now that I think of it). Although I don't support such obsessive behaviors (Shao Yi Chen's behavior is tolerable since he keeps the information/facts about Jiang Jing Teng to himself), their behaviors made the story interesting.
I would definitely rewatch this drama, but not as often. Probably when I feel like watching a full BL series or drama, but have limited time.

At first I thought it would make me fell bad about the flow of the story since its BL and its not the usual type of drama that I watch.
But it turns out that it made me hooked with the drama flows.
The chemistry of the actors are really great, the way they portrayed they role will make you believe that they really love each other,This is the first time I shipped a BL couple. It's really good and I hope you will feel the way I feel when I watched it. Happy watching=).

Moins nul que ce que je croyais
J'ai découvert la franchise des HIStory peu de temps après ses débuts, et complètement par hasard. J'avais vaguement commencé à regarder Obsessed avant de laisser tomber, parce que n'ayant pas de résumé de l'intrigue à l'époque, je me suis retrouvée larguée dès le départ avec cette histoire de réincarnation. Et puis tout le monde parlait du côté toxique de la romance et ça m'avait fait un peu peur, de sorte que jusqu'à aujourd'hui, c'était le seul drama de cette franchise que je n'avais pas vu. Mais à un moment il faut bien s'y mettre (d'autant que c'est la même scénariste qui nous a offert Trapped et We Best Love, entre autres...), désormais c'est chose faite.On a donc un héros qui se fait plaquer par son chéri (un sale con), et qui meurt percuté par une voiture alors qu'il s'enfuit en courant sans regarder autour de lui. Le voilà réincarné dans son propre corps mais avec un retour en arrière de 9 ans, décidé à prendre un autre chemin de vie et surtout à éviter le sale con en question. Hélas, c'est sans compter le destin, et quelques pages de son journal qui ont échappé au feu, sur lesquelles l'autre va tomber, et qui vont pousser ce dernier à s'intéresser au héros.
J'ai trouvé le scénario plutôt original, n'étant pas familière des histoires de réincarnation à part Until We Meet Again (et les deux n'ont rien à voir), c'était assez nouveau pour moi. L'intrigue manque un peu de profondeur et certaines choses auraient mérité d'être davantage creusées (les choix que l'on fait versus le destin, ou bien la dynamique de leur relation passée par ex.), mais le sujet reste tout de même intéressant. Je ne dirais pas que les acteurs méritent un Oscar mais au moins ça se voit qu'ils s'impliquent dans leurs rôles. Malgré le faible budget, les décors, les couleurs et l'image en général sont plutôt pas mal, la musique est sympa et ne pollue pas le drama, et les scènes intimes sont relativement chouettes, du moins si on les a vues à l'époque où il n'y avait pas grand chose à se mettre sous la dent en matière de BL et où un léchage de cou était déjà le summum du hot qu'on pouvait espérer. Depuis on a eu droit à des scènes d'un autre niveau et on attend davantage des BL asiatiques (surtout venant de Taïwan, parce qu'à part quelques exceptions il ne faut pas trop compter sur les BL Thaï dans ce domaine), mais je comprends pourquoi l'audience a été aussi enthousiaste lors de sa sortie, Obsessed étant un peu plus osé que nombre de ses contemporains.
Concernant l'aspect toxique de la relation, c'est vrai. On a un héros décidé à tout faire pour rester éloigné de son ex / futur petit-ami pour ne surtout pas retomber dans les griffes de ce manipulateur, sauf que l'autre ne l'entend pas de cette oreille et n'a jamais appris le sens du mot "non". Bref, le gars est toujours un sale con dans ce passé rebooté, mais au moins on nous le montre également protecteur, réellement amoureux et il a quelques bons côtés. Je craignais de grincer des dents car je suis très à cheval sur ce genre de sujets et la manière dont ils sont traités, mais bizarrement, ça ne m'a fait ni chaud ni froid. Il faut dire que le héros ne le repousse pas de façon très convaincante non plus, donc à partir du moment où il a pris sa décision, hein, bah qu'il assume quoi... Et puis aussi, peut-être que le court format de ce drama et son côté "amateur" jouent un rôle dans le fait que je ne me suis pas investie plus que ça dans cette romance. Je l'ai visionnée juste histoire de claironner que je me suis tapé TOUS les History, mais ça ne va pas plus loin.
En conclusion, je ne trouve aucun intérêt à revoir ce drama, l'histoire d'amour ne m'a pas procuré de frissons et elle était assez problématique si l'on considère la personnalité d'un des deux personnages. Toutefois, si le fond n'était pas top, c'était quand même moins lamentable que je l'aurais cru et sur la forme, ça reste un drama d'une assez bonne qualité au vu du faible budget à l'époque.
Donc, à regarder surtout si :
- Vous aimez les relations un peu tordues
- Vous n'avez plus aucun BL à vous mettre sous la dent et / ou les BL Thai ne suffisent pas à fournir votre dose de frottages de peaux (et encore...)
- Les histoires de réincarnation vous intéressent (et encore "bis"...)
- Ça vous démange comme moi tant que vous n'avez pas visionné tous les History
- Vous envisagez de pondre un mémoire sur l'évolution du travail de la scénariste Lin Pei Yu au fil des ans.
Sinon, vous ne perdez pas grand-chose.

Resolvi escrever minha opinião sobre esse dorama por dois motivos básicos: 1) minha visão sobre esse dorama foi diferente de todas que li aqui no site; 2) faltava uma review em português.OBSESSÃO
Muita gente falou que achou ruim porque só um dos dois era obcecado e disse que acharia normal se os dois fossem obcecados um pelo outro.
Pois bem, se você assistir com atenção (e até o final), vai ver que ambos são sim obcecados (e apaixonados) um pelo outro.
O mais novo ficou obcecado primeiro. Ele via o mais velho como ídolo, acompanhava todos os seus passos e fez, por anos, um diário detalhado e ilustrado de tudo.
O mais velho vê uma pequena parte desse diário, identifica a adoração do outro por ele e fica obcecado pela pessoa que o fez.
E tem ainda a garota. Ninguém fala dela, mas ela é a mais obcecada de todas. E, na verdade, a obsessão ela é a causa todos os problemas desse dorama.
CRIME
Esse dorama não é o poço de lama que a maior parte das reviews descreve. Ele tem momentos pesados e momentos leves. Tem drama e violência, mas também tem momentos pra sorrir e até rir (principalmente se você assistir lendo os comentários no YouTube).
Violência sexual não é legal. É claro que não é. Mas assassinato também não é legal e ninguém deixa de fazer filme de serial killer por causa disso. Aliás, se o assunto é violência sexual que vira relação consensual, tem muito lakorn pior do que esse dorama.
MISCELÂNEA
Observações pouco relevantes do ponto de vista da narrativa, mas muito relevantes do meu ponto de vista:
1) Preste atenção na cena deles comendo mingau com hashi e aprenda essa técnica oriental secreta.
2) A técnica pra colocar avental no crush também é imperdível. Aprenda e aguarde sua chance de usá-la.
3) Preste atenção pra não perder a cena de romance do segundo casal porque ela é rápida como um raio e quente como uma fogueira.
4) O romance do casal principal é controverso, mas quente como o sol.

History memiliki banyak season, dan ini merupakan History pertama yang memiliki cerita dan makna film yang bagus. Obsessed menceritakan seorang pria bernama Shao Yi Chen yang ditinggal nikah oleh pasangan pria-nya bernama Jiang Jin Teng, moment ini membuat Shao Yi Chen terpukul secara psikologi karena merasa dicurangi oleh pasangannya. Lalu ia mati tertabrak oleh sebuah kendaraan karena berlari sangat kencang dengan keadaan mental yang buruk ; cerita kemudian dilanjutkan dengan kondisi waktu yang memundur di saat dia belum bertemu dan mencintai Jiang Jin Teng. Shao Yi Chen yang kaget dan sadar bahwa dia kembali ke masa lalu memutuskan untuk tidak memulai hubungan spesial dengan Jiang Jin Teng. Akankah ini berhasil?. Series ini sangat menarik karena menggambarkan Rewind Time ke masa lalu, aktor juga sangat menjiwai dalam memerankan perasaan karakter utama yang awalnya tersakiti kemudian berusaha menghindari rasa sakit yang sama. Scene di sini menurutku semuanya bagus tanpa filler karena durasi film yang lumayan pendek. Namun, walaupun pendek, series ini menurutku punya makna hidup yang bagus. Realmente me gustó esta historia
Empiezas a ver este drama como una historia donde la obsesión es la característica principal, pero después te das cuenta que es sólo un ser humano con una profunda necesidad de amor. Te muestra que, de alguna forma, ambos aprenden a complementarse y forman un equilibrio en sus propias necesidades. Te enseña que a veces la fuerza del amor y la necesidad de estar con la otra persona es más fuerte que cualquier razonamiento. La actuación de los protagonistas principalmente es muy buena, especialmente en el capítulo final. Ambos actores se complementan muy bien y logran una interacción realmente notable. Personalmente, me gustó mucho esta historia y me sorprende mucho que no hayan hecho otra serie juntos. De hecho, busqué más trabajos de Teddy Ren y no encontré absolutamente nada, un chico joven con mucho potencial para ser un excelente actor. Bernard He, como actor, conquistó mi corazón. Su actuación es impecable.You start to see this drama as a story where obsession is the main feature, but then you realise that it's just a human being with a deep need of love. It shows you that, somehow, both learn to complement each other and form a balance in their own needs. It teaches you that sometimes the strength of love and the need to be with the other person is stronger than any reasoning. The performance of the main characters is very good, especially in the final chapter. Both actors complement each other very well and achieve a truly remarkable interaction. Personally, I really liked this story and I'm very surprised that they haven't done another series together. In fact, I looked for more works by Teddy Ren and found absolutely nothing, a young guy with a lot of potential to be an excellent actor. Bernard He, as an actor, conquered my heart. His acting is impeccable.
