Cute!

To be honest I’m going to say openly that this wasn’t a perfect miniseries. I have a lot of things to nag about it.

STRENGTHS
- Adored the FL- a lot of people kinda seemed a little torn at times between her but I actually could warm up to her straight away.
- The cutesy fluff- I’m a big fluff and cuteness fan. Don’t get me wrong. It’s mood dependent but it’s a guilty pleasure.
- Intriguing setup- I know it’s not entirely an original concept per say but ‘ Sweet Revenge’ did keep me intrigued.

NEGATIVES
- The acting- I’m going to be really direct. I didn’t think any of the actors were bad per say but some performances could be a little lacking in comparison to others.
The pacing- I loved the concept, but the pacing? That’s a different thing to say all together and could often feel rushed.
- The romance- For me the romance was a bit meh. It wasn’t necessarily that the actors were terrible or anything but nothing really hooked me either tbh.

Overall I didn’t think Sweet Revenge was bad or anything but maybe it was lacking a little also. Decent for watching when you’re bored or something quick. A 7/10 for me.

The only reason why I honestly picked up Revenge Note is because of how short it is - the episodes are only 35 minutes and there was only 11 of them, which made it a super quick watch. Honestly though, the drama could have been wrapped up by episode 6 or 7.

I liked the drama alright. The characters were cute and the high school drama was consistent and predicable (not necessarily in a bad way though). The idea of "revenge note" was fresh, which I appreciated, but by episode 6 or 7, I had seen enough of the concept to be ready for a wrap-up because nothing new was really happening after that point.

What I am kind of bummed about is Cha Eun Woo. I adore his character, but he basically disappeared around episode 8. I know he was just the second lead, but man he was adorable - he really needed to be present for the remainder of the drama for at least consistency's sake! And yes, obviously, I have SLS (even though there was nothing wrong with Ji Hoon).

Anyways, I enjoyed the fact that this was a mindless and quick watch with little to no commitment. Very casual for when you're bored.

This review may contain spoilers
The plot is quite interesting, it is based on a revenge note. However as the story progress, the story does not explains or explores at least a little bit where this revenge note app come from, who created it, for which purpose. At the end, she decide to delete the revenge note app from her phone because she thinks she does not need it anymore but does really not give more details as to why now she does not need this. For the romance part, the end with the second main male lead was unsatisfying. From my opinion there were major loopholes regarding the revenge note application and the second male lead.

I found Park Solomon was the best among the cast. I have watched this drama for him to be honest. And sorry but I think the main female is lacking acting skill. Eunwoo was overall good, but he did not appeared a lot in the drama so we cannot really 'judge'. And to be fair, I wanted him to appear more often in the drama, so I am a bit disappointed because of that. He is a good actor aside of that.

The music was good, I particularly like the rap ost.

Overall, it is funny, light and I suggest you to not have high expectations if you watch it.

Easy to watch teen dramedy

It is a short and easy to watch teen dramedy. Well, the bullying and general nasty behaviour of some of the characters are not so easy to watch but they all get their just dessert at the end so it is very satisfying. Throw in a few handsome young actors and you get a wholesome romance going in no time. My only negative point is that they labour the revenge plot a bit much and you have to say that that's a lot to happen in a quiet suburb school in a matter of weeks if not months. I understand that the writer wants us to see character growth and I appreciate that but in the end, the impact is weakened as you pretty much expect a happy ending and a resolution in every case. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed this and would recommend it.

SHORT, LIGHT, CUTE, ROM-COM DRAMA

If you want a short, light, cute, rom-com drama with a little bit of mystery and a little bit of lessons in life, you should watch this. At first, Cha Eun Woo is so irresistable but later part of the drama, you would fall for Ji Hoon (Park Solomon). However, Cha Eun Woo did not have much of screentime here in which it did not have justification to his character. For the acting, as expected from a former child actress, Hyang Gi, she pulled off her character so well. Her chemistry with Solomon is really good and cute. Solomon is not as good as Hyang Gi but he portrayed his cold, perfect, and sweet character well enough to give the viewers a feeling of butterflies in the stomach. Overall, the drama gives you a light and warm feeling.

Revenge can be sweet

With all those heavy-weight dramas I sometimes ache for a cute and sweet story. That’s why this web drama felt good to me. The title was confusing at first, because I thought this would be some version of Death Note, but it turned out to be about daily school issues like bullying, the rich & poor gap, the beauties & ugly ducklings, first love & teachers, family & friends. The male leads were eye candy, there’s a cameo of ASTRO and the female lead became more daring and lovelier each episode, although she was shy and passive at first.

Summary
There are two storylines in this short web drama. First a love story that made me think of another web drama called Queen of the Ring (2017). The male lead is a pretty boy, tall, and with the looks of a model. The female lead is a little plain Jane but sweet and adorable, so that she catches the eye of another boy as well. He’s the best friend of her brother and a famous idol to boot, only he didn’t get the chance to show his feelings yet.
Second there’s a fantasy story about a mobile app called Revenge Note that suddenly pops up in the phone of the female lead. It creates the opportunity to note the name of someone who is bullying her. When she does, bad things start to happen to that person. She discovers that her life can be sweet that way, but it also gets more complicated, and who’s helping her anyway? This remains a mystery to her, and to us.

The Good
The mix of school life and fantasy is well done. Further I liked the character development of the female lead. Usually the female lead is instrumental to the happiness of the male lead. Not in this series. Here it’s the other way around.

The Bad
Like I said the male lead was pretty to look at, but he remained rather flat and unknown. We don't learn much about his family or background. Also this series is really short. There's also a loop hole in the story of the Revenge Note.

The Verdict
Still I would recommend this series. Just watch it for yourself and stay tuned for the sequel in 2018 in order to find out who made this mysterious Revenge Note after all.

I was looking for some school dramas to watch when I landed on this one and I really enjoyed it! Plus it had some light romance if any of you guys are wondering whether this has one or not.

The plot line is simple yet very entertaining, it was well written and executed for a short drama, if felt complete. I think that the characters in this drama are very interesting, they are really distinct from each other, have bright personalities, and are funny at the same time especially her fangirl friend, which helped the Ho Goo Hee gain her confidence. The chemistry of the characters were good too! It mainly focuses on the main character Ho Goo Hee who is kind and pure, and because she is the way she is, she had also a handful of experience being bullied by her peers but she overcame this and learned to stand out for what she thinks is right when she received the "revenge note". She also met some friends who will help her along.

The visuals of the male characters here are the catch of this drama. Cha Eunwoo had minimal parts, and how i wish he had more lines but he was great in portraying his role and his character was very entertaining to watch. Park Solomon was a whole different level of awesome though! He was the main reason I kept watching this through the end. He was so cute and overall great with his acting in here, that he made my heart flutter just like how the female lead would to him. He was humble, cool, and sweet. His character was not arrogant nor the pretentious type. He had the whole mr. righteous going on and I love it!!

I also appreciated how they depicted the life of a fangirl in this drama, because I am a fangirl myself, and sometimes I think dramas tend to exaggerate the negative side of being a fangirl, but in this drama it wasn't depicted as something negative but it is an interest that you could share with your friends and even your family members. :)

The drama is nothing outstanding but it is definitely worth watching for the laughs and the squeals! I'm sure all those fluff, romcom lovers will enjoy this as much as I did! ^^

Dream App Drama Part 1

The story was funny if you think about it. There was one scandal after the other, and yet everybody flies through these like it's normal. Like, someone accused of sending nudes, or a student under the illusion of being in a relationship with a teacher ain't normal. The friendships in this series were very much wholesome. Even though there was only one couple, Goo Hee and Ji Hoon--duh--I was curious as to who Deok Hee ended up with, since she really had three choices: Kang Min, Eun Woo, and Goo Joon. I do wish the show was longer and more developed. The OST though, that was fire.

Ho Goo Hee was a very intimidated girl, but the app helped her break out of her shell, and that's a really good thing for her. Shin Ji Hoon was great and all, but it didn't feel like he was the male lead, if that makes sense. I feel like he was there just for a little romance, even though I'm pretty sure the show wasn't even that. Jung Deok Hee was funny, but I felt she was a little crazy for guys. Like, she was head over heels for Cha Eun Woo as well as for Ho Go Joon. Cha Eun Woo was straight up pitiful in this show, I'm sorry y'all. He was kind of the irrelevant second-male lead. The supporting characters honestly had better personality than the MAIN characters...but still, the drama was simple and cute.

Short and Simple. Basically the premise of this drama. I ended up staying up one night watching little clips of this drama on youtube and decided, you know what, I'll just give it a go since it is only 11, 30 minute, episodes. It was a simple story about a new high school learning how to stand up for herself and be her own person with the help of the Revenge Note app. Yes there was some romance, but not enough to say that this was a romance drama. Plus I love how they made it seem like there was going to be this love triangle with Eun Woo's character, but dude was barely in this drama except for to let us know that he was Ho Goo Hee's almost first love growing up, but how Ho Goo Hee was Eun Woo's first love and still was. It made me a little sad when we got a flashback of the moment Eun Woo fell in love with her, but how he never confessed. But hey, I don't know anything about kpop idol rules (even though they had a small ep about what would happen with a scandal) so maybe it was impossible from the get go and why they didn't drag it on or have him fight for her.

I think one of the reason why I was meh about this drama besides it having nothing really special about it was that at the end of one of the episodes it seemed like one of the victims was going to be an antagonist in this drama and maybe fight back and find out who sent out the revenge note hit on him, but literally it was never brought up again. It almost seemed like everything just eventually worked out at the end.
Another thing I wasn't happy about was the main love interest. I mean he was a solid love interest and would always somehow be there when she needed someone, but homeboy had zero personality or backstory so it was hard for me to get on board with him as a character. Him as a boyfriend was cute, but I honestly liked Eun Woo a lot more as a character because at least we had some kind of backstory with him. Realistically, yes, I wouldn't pick Eun Woo because of the whole kpop thing and probs have to wait until after his contract ends, but as a person, he has so much more personality and would talk with her about things (if she wanted to talk about it). The main male lead would literally ask her is she was ok and she would say yep and then they continued on with their day.

I'm curious to see what the second drama is about. I've heard that this drama is "better" than its sequel, but I'm sensing that, that might not be the case personally. We will see eventually.

Short, sweet, and cute! BUT ending was too abrupt and left many questions unanswered

The main cast was all pretty good at acting, and Cha Eun Woo’s visuals were top notch as usual - the cameo by Astro was really great as well!

The issue I had with this drama, however, was that the ending came too abruptly and a lot of issues could have been further resolved before they ended the series. It was, to say the least, unsatisfying, and I didn’t even realize it had ended until I kept searching for the next episode but couldn’t find one.

Overall, though, this was a really cute drama and I would recommend it for anyone looking for a short, fun series!

This web drama was pretty light and the main characters were enjoyable! The plot itself is predictable but I still enjoyed it because of the main characters. There was little character development and not so much of round characters but it was the relationship of the characters that made the show fun. Although there were immature characters that really ticked me off, the others made up for it like the brother and Eun Woo. Overall, I'd recommend the drama for teenagers or young adults who just want something light. The mystery of who is behind the revenge app also drives one's curiosity as well so it was also something to look forward to in every episode.

It is not the best out there but since it is just a web drama, I find it cute and worth my time - pretty much since it is only short. This drama revolving around revenge through a note or app is not a novel concept as I have heard it in a Japanese drama but have not seen it so I can't compare. Though it revolves around revenge, I like that it is not as heavy as I thought. Also revolves around high school students so pretty much a school drama, but I am fine with it. The acting are not really good, as it is compose of new actors and actresses. Since it is a school drama, I am not a fan of the romance part, as of course I am not so convinced with "children" falling in love, but that is just me being old. LOL.

Overall, I think the drama is good to pass the time.
