I have to start by saying that this is a good drama that is worth watching. However, only a couple of things prevented it from being "great".

First problem, and I think many who have watched it will agree, that Wild Romance seemed to have lacked a little in the romance department let alone anything "wild". I WISH WISH WISH, there was more romance between the main characters, because I absolutely adored them! Lee Dong Wook and Li Si Young did an AWESOME job in their roles and I have become a fan of both of them because of this drama! :D This is actually rare for me to say but...I WANTED MORE LOVEY DOVEY SCENES BETWEEN THEM! Haha. But I did enjoy the few cute scenes they did share. LDW and LSY are what drove me to finish this drama and they never failed to make me laugh with their silliness. :DDD

Second problem, and I think I will gain a few haters by saying this, but the amount of air-time they gave Jessica (from SNSD) was just...too much. I mean c'mon... side characters are just...SIDE CHARACTERS! It really frustrated me on how much of the drama was focused on her. I have nothing against Jessica of course...I think she's a very cute girl. But like I said, it was just too much for me. But to those of you who are huge Jessica fans, BY ALL MEANS this is the drama for you! :P

As for the story, I thought it was exciting, suspenseful and mysterious and the plot was very good for a such a short drama and I did enjoy some of the songs in it as well.

Overall I think this drama is very underrated and deserves much more praise than it seems to be getting. :)))

I have to start this out by laughing. This drama is hilarious from the first episode i got caught.

The main actor was excellent one of his best. This really showed his ability and diversity in acting when compared to his previous drama. His acting was flawless. My love for Lee Dong Wook has grown tremendously.

The main actress...........Lee Si Young was amazing.(nods) I have to give her her props she got the whole tomboy tough-girl bodyguard role perfectly even her gestures were right on target, even when she had to show her weak side it was just amazing.

The plot i must say was very good, and the climax was a nice twist.I also looked forward to the smaller stories of the supporting characters, each of which really added to the essence of the whole thing. It was the first time I seeing Kang Dong-Ho in a drama but he really caught my attention. And as a plus there were a lot of eye-candy in the is drama. lol I grade you with an A+++.

I really didn’t want to like this drama. However somehow the cuteness sucked me in and before I knew it I was totally invested. To me that is a great drama- One that makes you like it and relate to it no matter how different the characters are from you. Essentially this is a great must watch drama.
I can generally see the plot for the whole drama after the first episode or two. I can gather who is going to die and who is the culprit. What I liked about Wild Romance was that I couldn’t tell what was going to happen until the writers gave a hint. Although it is a rom-com there is some really intensive mystery going on, which really kept the plot going and moving. Kudos to the writers for not just relying on the romance to move things along! Although some characters were better played than others I really did like the majority of the characters that were introduced. I felt like the main and supporting characters all had depth that showed as the drama progressed. (I.E. Kim Dong Ho’s role as the Manager). I really fell in love with Lee Si young who played Eun Jae, she was one of those female leads who didn’t change herself for love, she found love just the way she was. I totally loved how really vulnerable she was the whole way through the drama, and how naturally Si Young seemed to play up that aspect.
The main reason I didn’t want to watch Wild Romance was because I was positive the Eun Jae character was going to be all talk. (I was wrong) Next I was sure the Park Moo Yul character would come to love her after some kind of see her naked scene, or she would save a loved one. (I was happily wrong as well) Lastly I didn’t want to watch because I started to feel really embarrassed for Eun Jae, and the more I felt bad for her (ep 4-5) the less I watched. I pushed through it and found it more enjoyable than I thought. Now I will admit to fast forwarding through long looks at each other, some baseball talk (though I learned a lot!) and some of the “searching” scenes. There were a lot of “searching” scenes.
Overall I am glad I watched this one all the way through. I like to see a character who feels like they don’t deserve love, win it on their own terms. That’s what happened with our Eun Jae, and that should give inspiration to many a girls who try to change themselves. Although there wasn’t much eye candy, there were a few bare chested men throughout so I am okay. I hope those who have put this down pick it back up because it certainly gets sweeter, better, and the ending is not what you think!

This is the first review I'm writing on here, and I just had to write it! I feel like a lot of people didn't like it for a couple of it's points, but I could easily overlook these and was seriously addicted to this drama! I wanted to share how awesome this drama is and how I definitely think it worth your time.

First point...Jessica. She was not a good actress. She was annoying sometimes. That's why the cast got 9 instead of 10. However, by the end I actually really liked her character and even felt her acting improved. I don't know Jessica, I'm not her fan, never heard of her before this...so this is totally unbiased. I LOVE Lee Dong Wook with all my heart, and he was just adorable in this! It was so neat to see him in this kind of role. The main chick...I saw her first in Playful Kiss and BOF and was so shocked to see her character in this drama. She did SUCH a good job. I was seriously impressed. She can definitely act, since this is a complete 180 from the characters I've seen her play. She was so cute!

The story...I gave it a nine. Only because it wasn't the best drama I've ever seen, but as far as entertainment value it was great! I'm watching several dramas right now and this is the one that I actually watched unsubbed first just because I couldn't stand the wait! There was drama, romance, bromance, and towards the end there was really good suspense!

There were a lot of different characters in this drama and some of them you don't like at first, but by the end you will love them all!

I would have to say two of the side characters had the best drama romance I had ever seen. Seriously, they are the most adorable couple ever, you could watch this whole series just to see the parts with them in it an it would be worth it. They are like in a whole different world odd balls. It was awesome and hilarious and sweet.

One of the complaints I've read about this drama is that there wasn't enough romance, etc. However, I thought it was really well done. It was different than other dramas and had other things besides the romance going on, but once it started I felt it was always there and not lacking. I was not disappointed at all in the romance department with this drama, and I'm a huge romance buff.

The main plot line, that wasn't about the romance, was done really well in my opinion and added a good amount of suspense for the characters. I absolutely loved how it came to a climax and the resolve. Seriously. I was impressed.

The music was excellent. I don't know Korean songs and singers...but I really enjoyed the main song.

The rewatch value is a 10 because I will definitely be watching it again in the future. The first several episodes of this drama are hilarious! Seriously funny. There is good humor throughout and I literally laughed out loud at some point in every episode...usually several times. So the humor is always there. I enjoyed the progression of the romance between the leads and enjoyed the romance between the side characters just as much.

Another plus is that all the side characters were fleshed out and in the end their stories were wrapped up as well. Nobody was left hanging.

I hope this was half way understandable...I just want people to appreciate/enjoy this drama as much as I did!

Perhaps I should have waited a few days to cool off before writing this review. But I can't seem to stay my hand.

This show started out a slap stick farce wherein a tomboyish girl, through a set of wacky circumstances, and who loves the (blue) Seagulls, has to bodyguard for an arrogant, temperamental player on the Red Dreamers team. Comedy heaven right? You would think so!

The first few episodes were fun! I was excited as to where this show would go. I loved Lee Dong Wook's character of Moo Yeol and the interactions, sparks and animosity between he and Eun Jae. The acting and chemistry between them made me voracious for each new episode that came along.

The serious subplots were back burner and seemed only there to propel these two closer. The mysterious stalker, the ex girlfriend showing up again...These things were played pretty well at first and seemed to have an okay balance with what we were all tuning in for! A Comedy! I was right on board! And then right at episode 12/13 things started going south. The writers didn't seem to know exactly how to finish off the series. How to ramp up the peril and push along the angst. Every episode turned maudlin and over done. Some of the characters started acting really stupid. The writers treated the audience as stupid.

The side characters each had their place and with only a few exceptions, I liked them all. Especially Manager Kim and Dong Ha. Unfortunately, even the good acting and chemistry of the two leads could not save this drowning mess. Oh Man Suk is horribly wasted and the actress who played his wife a sad, downer of a character that I lost all sympathy for.

I wish so much I could have given this show a good review. Up until around episode 9/10 I would have thought I was going to in the end. There is nothing worse than a good drama gone horribly wrong and Wild Romance is in that sad class of Kdramas.

It is rare I do not recommend a drama. But I just can't with this one. Sad, that! Skip it and don't waste your time.

I was really excited to watch Wild Romance because Lee Shi Young (whom I adore) was the female lead and also the way they were advertising made it seem like this was going to be a pretty hilarious drama…

Story- The first 6 episodes were 10/10. They were comedy gold and the chemistry between LSY & LDW was off the charts. I looked forward to new eps each week with a passion. About the 8th episode is when my love for this show started to die. This is when the writers copped out and decided to use the “bringing back the ex gf” plot device. I REALLY hate when writers do this because it brings the quality of the drama down for me. That and the fact that the stalker storyline got dragged out for too long made it become just another average romantic comedy. Not unwatchable but nothing special either. That brings me to the romance part of this drama. In my opinion there was no romance in this and I don’t care what anybody says. Seriously we have to wait till all the way at the end for them to confess to each other and even kiss?! To me it seemed random because for more than ¾ of this drama MY was obsessed with Jessica’s character. Then all of the sudden he realizes “oh hey I think I really do like Eun Jae!” Sorry but that type of “romance” doesn’t interest me. This is not a romantic comedy as it seemed like a comedy/drama/thriller.

Acting/Cast- LSY is magnificent in her tomboyish role Eun Jae. Although I didn’t like the way the writers changed the character’s personality in the middle. I don’t like my characters to be pathetic and obsessed with some guy. It just turns me off. LDW is just an okay actor although I appreciated he had such a good chemistry with LSY. Loved the supporting cast and although most of their characters were oddballs or borderline psychotic they all pulled off their roles and made them believable. Just want to mention that Jessica did an okay job playing her lifeless/emotionless character. This is coming from an unbiased opinion as I didn’t really know who she was until they mentioned she was a member of Girls Generation=)

Music- The OST was memorable enough to put a couple of the songs on my ipod

Rewatch- I honestly don’t know if its worth my time to watch it a second time because I loved the cast but the story wasn’t impressive…

Overall Wild Romance is just another average romantic comedy but with an awesome cast. So watch once just for them.

I never thought I will ever enjoy something in which both the lead roles are quite dumb.Baseball player and bodyguard, who can't stand each other at first, starting to enjoy each other's company and come to a place where they cannot pass a day without each other. A girl who is very boyish in looks and manners, stronger than some men, prefers beef over flowers and ice creams, still a man falls for her because of some affectionate connection they have.
c'mon.. for once let us like not-so pretty girl and not-so-smart-in-head guy's love story.Their bickerings are really cute.

wookie has come out of his usual perfect looking eye candy roles and done a great job here.Lee si young is just awesome.(perfect hair for moo yul to ruffle often.I love that).Jessica is just another character for love triangle. All the other characters are 100% perfect.

I can't seem to get enough of this drama. watching it over and over.

I gave 8 for story because its just the usual. But I will give 10 for screenplay.

After completing this drama I can truly say that I loved it... til it got to episode 14 and just got down right wacky.

The story isn't something spectacular but at first I enjoyed that they add the little "stalker" sub plot. It made it just a tad bit more interesting. What makes this story come alive though is the cast. You have the wonderful Lee Dong Wook and Lee Si Young starring in this drama and they both completely made me love their characters from the beginning to the end. You also have great supporting characters like Manager Kim and Dong Ah who are down right hilarious.

The reason I'm giving this drama a 7 is because it fell short in the end. It started off great. I was laughing and waiting every week for the next episodes to come out. (I'm remembering all the good moments in this show and trying to ignore the ending... a bit)

I almost gave this drama a 5. That's how pissed I was at the end. The ending was a total disappointment to me. Please do not let the title Wild Romance fool you. This show is wild but by the time you hit the end you'll realize that it's missing the romance. It's overshadowed by the middle of the show with Jong Hee's character. The sad thing is you can feel the chemistry oozing off of Moo Yeol and Eun Jae but the writers just could't keep up.

Another thing is the whole ex-girlfriend plot. I understand. I have seen this plot used in a couple of dramas so I have no problem with it. The problem is when the ex-girlfriend seems to steal the whole show. That's when it becomes a problem. This plot was way over used till the very end. Instead of over using this they could have developed Moo Yeol and Eun Jae's relationship more. It got to the point that at the very last episode I almost found it hard to believe that Moo Yeol even liked Eun Jae.

I liked the stalker plot at first because it made me want to play detective and find out who it was. That's until this plot was overused til the very end.

If you watch this drama I can tell you now you'll have a good laugh. You have a great cast. The story line isn't special but the cast brings it alive. Even with the little romance that was given to Moo Yeol and Eun Jae they still managed to make my heart flutter.

The thing that messed up this drama for me was the lack of romance. Also the stalker plot that was great for me at first until it got to the very end and the writers didn't know what to do with the plot anymore. Other than that it's honestly a good drama. If you can ignore those things you'll enjoy Wild Romance.

As for rewatch value as I stated before if you can ignore the bad ending and still enjoy the show you'll probably rewatch this show again. I'll rewatch this show again a little later but mostly like only up to episode 13.

First thing I have to say is that Lee Si Young's acting in this drama is top-notch. After watching her in Playful Kiss and Boys over Flowers, I thought she was destined to play the mean/proud girl. However she was lively, cute, and hilarious to watch in Wild Romance. The other members of the cast, inc the main lead, were really good too and I think together they all held the drama. Wild Romance is funny, intriguing, and cute without to much angst or misunderstanding between the main leads. The ending too is really good. It's not the most exciting or brilliant drama in the world but its definitely worth watching.

After WBDS had finished I found it difficult to find something interesting to watch and had been bored for a long time. The synopsis for this drama doesnt do good for how great this show actually is - an arrogant baseball player (Lee Dong Wook) meets a subborn and partially violent bodyguard who isnt very good at being an excellent boyguard (Lee Si Young)...due to an incident Si Young is forced to protect Dong Wook and through that brings great entertainment!!

The acting by Si Young is great and pulls off the character really well...never really likes her before but because of this drama I now love her :) she really does have great acting skills and Lee Dong Wook = umphhh :) think enough said there aha. Due to the synopsis I was reluctant to watch this but it was the funniest thing Ive seen in ages and pulled me in from the start. Im waiting every week refreshing the page waiting for it to be uploaded its addicting. The plot isnt the most original and its quite predictable but its worth it - such great laughs and its so cuuuute as well :) also there is a 'twist' in this drama that I didnt expect and Im dying to see how it turns out! Overall this drama is soooo worth watching - HILARIOUS stuff :)

It also has one of the best endings Ive seen in a long time it just makes you melt!! Lots of people have complained that there wasnt enough romance between Eun Jae and Mu Yeol and I'd have to agree. The plot sidetracked during the middle and focused too much on Jang Hee and Mu Yeol which was a bit boring. It also made the love Mu Yeol have for Eun Jae half-hearted therefore this drama has a major flaw. Even so I still have to say this was a GREAT drama then ending scene saved the show from its flaws and I really loved and laughed at every bit of it!!

WHAT A PITY...

It's been a while since I last finished watching this one, but I've still got that bitter aftertaste in my mouth making me feel that it's such a waste, such a shame, such a pity.
It started out so good. It wasn't interesting: it was really good. Funny, original, captivating and rich of good acting actors. The chemistry between the main actors was outstanding.
I was anticipating every episode and felt relief when it was out.
What happened, then? everything went down the drain.

I finished it just because the firsts episodes told me it deserved as much. I think that in the end it was saved merely by the actors.
Again such a pity..

I can't lie I started watching it for Dong Wook but stayed for the funny and thrilling story. It didn't catch me at the first episode but by the second the laughs kept me glued to the screen. This is definitely a good one to marathon if you are so inclined, I completed it in three days.

The story is not typical drama storyline...not too much on the evil controlling parents but more around the story about friendship, relationships, the ending and beginning and disillusioned love. The story while light really touches on some heavy themes although it doesn't dive deep into the heavy themes it does not sugar coat them either.

Some dramas leave you emotionally drained but this one will leave you feeling good...enjoy
