Realistic and Well-Executed
Put Your Head On My Shoulder is most definitely the best Chinese romance drama I have ever watched. It was the perfect balance of a GREAT storyline and amazing chemistry between the two leads.Lin Yi is a stand-out actor. He played his part perfectly. Considering this is his debut role, I couldn't have asked more from him. He was expressive and showed a varied range of emotions and gestures that suited his character perfectly. Fairy Xing was great as well, and while it is not as standout of a performance as Lin Yi, she held her own very well. The 2 of them oozed chemistry. I love it. They were perfect for their respective roles.
The story was perfect. The way how they fell in love was portrayed is probably the most realistic I've seen in any drama. It didn't feel like it was something I was watching on TV. It felt very real and I could easily relate to their struggles and accomplishments. Nothing was over done. While there was barely a plot, it didn't really need one. It was basically portraying the everyday life of two people who are falling in love and it was very beautiful to watch. Fantastic.
I loved the realism in this drama. It did its research regarding the physics side of things so it just made it feel more genuine. The writing did the actors' acting skills justice. Very well thought of.
The sound effects just further emphasized the cuteness and fluffiness of this drama.
Overall, Put Your Head On My Shoulder was a joy to watch and I highly recommend this.

People are addited to stress
OKay, you do feel like the story dynamic changes once they start dating. A lot of their problems seem unimportant now, but from friends trying to figure out they like each other to bf/gf the flow is well done. And people claiming that them being in a relationship ruins the show cause there isn't any more drama must have high cortisol levels with their drama addiction, all they want is stress and tension. Just enjoy a TV show for fs XDWas this review helpful to you?
A very cute drama!
I don't like dramas where the couple are way too much jealous of each other, they break up and get back together all the time or there are always big misunderstandings that take too long to get resolved. This was exactly what this drama didn't have and that's why I loved it. It perfectly portraits a first relationship where people don't know how to handle situations and are hesitating to act. It showed how two people who are different can start having feelings for each other after living together and knowing each other. I liked how warm and cozy this drama felt to me. I absolutely recommend this to anyone wanting to see a cute relationship between two young people! Was this review helpful to you?
Fluffy drama with little plot
ML is the best! So sweet and absolutely no toxicity. FL is mostly likeable with her own ideas and career goals, although sometimes I got frustrated with her for being too stubborn. There is really not much story through the whole thing, and that may be a Pro to some viewers. But I think I needed a bit more to keep me engaged, and sometimes this drama lacked goals and direction.
Music was nothing special, mostly faded into the background.
I think there are many many cute scenes, but I'm not sure I would re-watch the drama because I wasn't fully sucked into the couple.
Overall, I don't regret watchin it as it was a nice little escape, but I don't think I was in the right mood for this one.

No Plot.
The show is good don't get me wrong, fluffy hearted romance,But after a few episodes it got SO draggy!
By the time the couple is together there's no plot at all, I even putted this show on hold for almost 3-4 weeks! That's how boring it got. There was no plot after the couple got together. NONE! Maybe some mix up's here and their but that's it!
Acting wasn't anything special. Maybe cause I haven't watched this in a couple of months that I forgot.
Music? Nothing special either. Just faded into the background.
I've probably never re watch this show again unless im doing my homework and I just want something in the background, I think that proves how un rewatchable this is.
In all, the main couple is sweet and cute, but there's no plot AFTER they get together.

The characters are very bubbly and fun.I liked the characters i will happily rewatch this show again and any future seasons if it gets more
i like how the main male lead will go out of his way to research things concerning the main female lead. the main couple is cute together and the 2nd couple does a good job also developing with the 1st pair
i dont like the length much to short needs more episodes and seasons the music isnt bad not good but considering music wasnt a big point in the show that can get a pass

This Cdrama started well but, unfortunately, quickly disappointed.
I was so excited to start this Cdrama as I usually love a slow burn romance. Unfortunately, this series was quite disappointing. It started well: good acting, good premise, good pace.
Certainly cute at the beginning, the constant misunderstandings between the 2 MLs became excessive. This mainly ruined the overall pace of the show as the episodes started to get quite repetitive, overly slow and, sadly, uninteresting. And when the 2 MLs finally get together, they keep failing at communicating properly (I don't remember them once really talking honestly to each other). Regrettably, from then on, the unnecessary subplots didn't add any value to the rest of their story.
This series could have been smartly wrap up in 12 episodes which would have been way better.
For some reason, as the show progressed, I also started to appreciate the endearing ML more and the FL (a lot) less. She had the most unnerving attitude towards the ML during the whole drama.
Am I the only one who thought they had barely anything in common ? At some point, I even found the SECOND main couple much more interesting and emotionally connected as their characters developped.
By the way, the FL's mother kept getting on my nerves until the very end. Such an overbearing and borderline inappropriate character !
Despite the good performance of the cast (against such a weak plot), I personally thought this series lacked the charm of other similar Cdramas like "Hidden Love", "When I Fly Towards You", "My Secret" and "Wait, My Youth".

I know I might exaggerate, since I´m just at episode 8. But it´s been a long time since I´ve seen such a chinese quality drama. The story line is so far really cute and not cringy or bad at all! I´d even say that it is my favorite chinese drama beside ´´Ashes of Love´´. Of course one cannot compare those dramas, but ´´Put your head on my shoulder´´ doesn´t have this mainstream characters almost every chinese dramas have.
The main girl is THANK GOD not cringy, loud, noisy or annoying at all, she is actually a typical girl who had her first big love for the wrong guy.
I also like the male protagonist, of course he is a bit mainstream in the beginning. I mean he is the typical cold, handsome guy who is not that social and nevertheless pretty good in school. But his character development is really awesome. One can see that he opens himself every episode a bit more, because of the female protagonist.
What I also adore is that he really doesn´t try to force her to like him, he really waits for her and let her process her feelings for the other guy.
The music is something I don´t really pay attention to, but it seems like it fits to every single scene so I have nothing to criticize. It is nothing special :)
The acting is great.I did not expect such ´´natural´´ acting skills. It seems like the actors and actresses are really in their role and they play the story as if it´d be real. The acting is so good that I feel the pain, happiness and sadness through every gesture etc. they make. The chemistry between the female and male main character is perfect. They really fit to each other.
All in all I would definitely recommend this drama. NOT CRINGY AT ALL! Chemistry on point and very sweet story. I would watch it again and again. It is definitely worth it guys!

Cute but I can’t finish it. I hate her toxic ex-bf so much I couldn’t bear to watch him flirt and gaslight or whatever the other girl (which is btw the best friend of the ex-gf), like how weird is that though? I’m really not comfortable with those things. Imagine, your best friend is dating the guy who hurt you before? idk, she is invalidating your feelings and ignoring the red flags the guy has. Anyways, personally I think that there love story is the worst but I like the leads because it’s slow burn and pure. if you think i should give this show a chance, PLEASE TELL ME t^t
ps. i don’t remember their names anymore sowi

1) The chemistry between Momo and Gu Wei Yi actually exists. I know, and it doesn't seem like the actors are trying to force the chemistry. As I am only 8 episodes in, there is no 'everyone falls for the main girl' AND LET ME TELL U I WAS SO DONE WITH THIS TROPE IN CHINESE DRAMAS. (a great reason as to why I never finish them). Also the feelings so far have developed rather naturally. It isn't like 'ooh mysterious handsome man lays eyes on the clumsy girl and realises his love for her'. Again, another trope seen in ALOT of East Asian dramas, I must say. If you enjoyed the Japanese movie LDK or the Korean drama 'Because this is my first life' , this is a great drama to watch (please avoid Good Morning Call at all costs).
2) It is not dragged out. The pace has been relatively consistent and THERE are ONLY 24 EPISODES NOT 50. I've never finished Chinese dramas because they pace things out so long. What can be done in 30 episodes should not be dragged out into 50.
Also, so far its been a really nice drama? There is no 'oh I scraped my knee because my dog ate my homework' which I've seen alot in Chinese dramas or petty competition between leading male characters (so far). Also, the characters are relatable. The character of the protagonists is very well portrayed in their actions and decisions. Whoever wrote/directed this, did a good job in supplementing the main plot.
Also, the characters have depth. The director uses film techniques like flashbacks that add substance to the characters and this is key. Not to mention, the humor is good and laughable. Also, I dont know what the rest of the drama would be like as there is only so much you can predict from the first 8 episodes, so my stance could change. This is why I haven't given it a 10 out of 10 but I highly recommend this drama.
