Cute! Fluff!

This is a drama that’s interesting enough! It’s cute and fluffy!

Watch because:
- the leads are pretty adorable and I am all for eye candy
- show has some angst but very tolerable
- the storyline was interesting and engaging enough
- everything ties up nicely
- very happy ending which I adore as I am all for cliched happy endings
- music is quite nice to listen to
- many cute and memorable moments in this show

I’d say:
Watch!! It is one of the better and better made dramas out there!!

I remember, I just really wanted to watch another C-drama, so I spotted this on Netflix, and started watching it! - I actually really liked this, and thought some of the scenes were hilarious - I also loved the extra mini scenes at the end of the episode! They were always soo funny and relatable. I loved the character development and it's just a funny story of two young people, who just find each other, and quietly there for each other!

I really enjoyed this, and the one reason why I started to like the actor of situ mo, Xing Fei! She's such a cute character! And Gu Weiyi is just hilarious in the different things they do in the drama together!

I differently enjoyed it!

amusing

The characters are very bubbly and fun.
I liked the characters i will happily rewatch this show again and any future seasons if it gets more
i like how the main male lead will go out of his way to research things concerning the main female lead. the main couple is cute together and the 2nd couple does a good job also developing with the 1st pair
i dont like the length much to short needs more episodes and seasons the music isnt bad not good but considering music wasnt a big point in the show that can get a pass

I know I might exaggerate, since I´m just at episode 8.
But it´s been a long time since I´ve seen such a chinese quality drama. The story line is so far really cute and not cringy or bad at all! I´d even say that it is my favorite chinese drama beside ´´Ashes of Love´´. Of course one cannot compare those dramas, but ´´Put your head on my shoulder´´ doesn´t have this mainstream characters almost every chinese dramas have.
The main girl is THANK GOD not cringy, loud, noisy or annoying at all, she is actually a typical girl who had her first big love for the wrong guy.
I also like the male protagonist, of course he is a bit mainstream in the beginning. I mean he is the typical cold, handsome guy who is not that social and nevertheless pretty good in school. But his character development is really awesome. One can see that he opens himself every episode a bit more, because of the female protagonist.
What I also adore is that he really doesn´t try to force her to like him, he really waits for her and let her process her feelings for the other guy.

The music is something I don´t really pay attention to, but it seems like it fits to every single scene so I have nothing to criticize. It is nothing special :)

The acting is great.I did not expect such ´´natural´´ acting skills. It seems like the actors and actresses are really in their role and they play the story as if it´d be real. The acting is so good that I feel the pain, happiness and sadness through every gesture etc. they make. The chemistry between the female and male main character is perfect. They really fit to each other.

All in all I would definitely recommend this drama. NOT CRINGY AT ALL! Chemistry on point and very sweet story. I would watch it again and again. It is definitely worth it guys!

I really like this drama. even though I haven't finished watching this drama for various reasons. I will make this drama the No. 1 drama I like the most, replacing A Love So Beautiful. I really like how they can build chemistry between each other. I really like the funny storyline, so it doesn't make this drama look serious. I really like the ost song which sometimes can make us sad, but sometimes it can make us feel happy. And because of this drama, now Lin Yi is the actor I like the most. Sorry if my English is not good enough.

Cute but I can’t finish it. I hate her toxic ex-bf so much I couldn’t bear to watch him flirt and gaslight or whatever the other girl (which is btw the best friend of the ex-gf), like how weird is that though? I’m really not comfortable with those things. Imagine, your best friend is dating the guy who hurt you before? idk, she is invalidating your feelings and ignoring the red flags the guy has. Anyways, personally I think that there love story is the worst but I like the leads because it’s slow burn and pure.

if you think i should give this show a chance, PLEASE TELL ME t^t

ps. i don’t remember their names anymore sowi

I have never finished a romance Chinese drama but I have high hopes for this one.
1) The chemistry between Momo and Gu Wei Yi actually exists. I know, and it doesn't seem like the actors are trying to force the chemistry. As I am only 8 episodes in, there is no 'everyone falls for the main girl' AND LET ME TELL U I WAS SO DONE WITH THIS TROPE IN CHINESE DRAMAS. (a great reason as to why I never finish them). Also the feelings so far have developed rather naturally. It isn't like 'ooh mysterious handsome man lays eyes on the clumsy girl and realises his love for her'. Again, another trope seen in ALOT of East Asian dramas, I must say. If you enjoyed the Japanese movie LDK or the Korean drama 'Because this is my first life' , this is a great drama to watch (please avoid Good Morning Call at all costs).

2) It is not dragged out. The pace has been relatively consistent and THERE are ONLY 24 EPISODES NOT 50. I've never finished Chinese dramas because they pace things out so long. What can be done in 30 episodes should not be dragged out into 50.

Also, so far its been a really nice drama? There is no 'oh I scraped my knee because my dog ate my homework' which I've seen alot in Chinese dramas or petty competition between leading male characters (so far). Also, the characters are relatable. The character of the protagonists is very well portrayed in their actions and decisions. Whoever wrote/directed this, did a good job in supplementing the main plot.

Also, the characters have depth. The director uses film techniques like flashbacks that add substance to the characters and this is key. Not to mention, the humor is good and laughable. Also, I dont know what the rest of the drama would be like as there is only so much you can predict from the first 8 episodes, so my stance could change. This is why I haven't given it a 10 out of 10 but I highly recommend this drama.

THEY DID DADDI SO DIRTY.

Yeah, they did Daddi so fucking dirty. That haircut... oof. Daddi playing a mature grownup is so much more fitting. (My Little Happiness Daddi was fucking nuts.) Fucking nuts was like crazy good. I fell in love with him there. Not only because his haircut was better there... but... nope that's mostly it. The grown, functioning adult thing also helps. College/university kids are... eh. I honestly didn't even know Daddi was in this show, and I watched this one first.

A haircut is so fucking crucial man. It's like a go or go-home. Go for My Little Happiness. That one was fucking great. Go home for Put Your Head on My Shoulder. That haircut man... they did Daddi so dirty.

Anyway, I think the only thing you need to know is that they did Daddi so dirty in this drama. Watch My Little Happiness to see him really at his prime. His peak.

I also didn't recognize Fair in My Little Happiness. They did her haircut in that show so dirty! Why? Why? WHY? Her hair was a total go in this drama, and definitely go-home in MLH.

Oh yes, PYHOMS... that's what review this is... okay. I only watched this again to confirm the right rating. And 7.5 seems fitting.

The sweetest cdrama of 2020

My oversimplified review
STORY: Bit of a cliche plot with a smart male lead and clumsy female lead that end up living together. The sweetest interactions between the two leads after they get together. Nice character development as the two leads learn how to work together through their relationship. This drama had the sweetest ending!
EXECUTION: Music in this drama was fit well with what was on the screen (my favorites were 可乐就是力量 and 兩人份美好) and the added sound effects complimented the drama so well. Acting of Fair Xing and Lin Yi fit their roles perfectly and the chemistry between the two was something that made the drama stand out.
OVERALL: Watch for a lighthearted university love story with the sweetest couple and funny interactions.

Let me first say, thank you writers for actually writing a great Chinese drama. You have no idea how many c-dramas I tried to find and watch, only to be never satisfied with the way it was written and handled. The problems I usually have with c-dramas it would be: the female lead doesn't admit her feelings until the very last minute, the villains does too much evil deeds but doesn't get punish for it, very draggy filler episodes, a rushed ending or the ending is very random and doesn't make sense on why it happens.

This drama is nothing like that which I'm very impressed. There are no villains. There may be a few characters who annoyed me but never to the point where I curse at them like I usually do at evil characters. You could kinda see the writers could've took that route, with so many characters I've seen as enemy potential, but I'm so glad they didn't do that. This is such a stress free, humorous, & lovable drama. Such a strong chemistry between the leads. It makes me smile so much, always cheering them on. The story flowed so well at a great pace that none of the episodes were draggy at all. I really was satisfied with each episode and I normally don't say that often for c-dramas. Comedy is in this drama from start to finish. This is great because some writers tend to lose this focus by the middle to end of the drama.

Here's where the SPOILERS are:
The only downside about this drama is that the writers seemed to show a relationship issue between Gu Wei Yi and his mom. They didn't really go into depth about this and kinda brushed this aside. I kinda felt this would've been nice to see resolved, maybe finding out why Gu Wei Yi is the way he is. I just saw that awkwardness between son and mom (or maybe Gu Wei Yi is just awkward in general lol). Also Fu Pei getting over Mo Mo that quickly so he can be with Wang Shan wasn't believable. I mean he finally fell for Mo Mo, who liked him all this time, but was too late as her feelings have changed for Gu Wei Yi. He was hurt for what an episode or two and then gotten over it. That was handled too quickly, but then again maybe it's a good thing.

Definitely give this drama a chance, especially if you're looking for a drama where you won't get angry and that every scene is so cute & funny to watch. I definitely would re-watch this.

19May19 ~ Just finished watching this drama. Super super love it! I fell in love with the characters of Gu Wei Yi and Si Tu Mo! This drama gives me a HS feels and reminds me why I love reminiscing my HS and college days. ♡ For me the flow of the story and each episode depicts a typical and realistic love story of what we want and what happened during my younger years. Oh to fall in love! Everything for me is almost perfect, only two things made me rate it 9.5, I didn't care much about the story of Fu Pei and Wang Shan AND I want more air time for them as a married couple! ♡ I wish they will give us another season with the same cast!

For everyone wanting a light, romantic, non angsty drama with an eye candy and handsome male lead, this is for you! ♡

Plot-
+ I love how this drama doesn't have those super overly dramatic family relationships like in most Cdramas.
+ You won't get a second lead syndrome here as they aren't that strong, especially Fu Pei who's the most annoying character in this drama.
+ The main leads relationship is super pure, genuine, cute and bubbly. I love how they are not swayed by the second leads and genuinely love each other. Gu Wei Yi rejecting girls is so cute and funny. Their chemistry is so good!
+ I love how Gu Wei Yi is so dedicated to pursuing Si Tu Mo, he googles tips and learns from others- but it always ends up being cheesy. hahaha.
+ No plot holes that I can think of

Cast-
+ Gu Wei Yi did an exceptional job in his role considering this is his first ever drama and he was 18 when they were filming.
+ There was no awkward acting between the leads even during the scenes that are uncomfortable.
+ Fu Pei acting was bad or maybe it's just the character he was playing idk, I don't like him in this series :/

Music-
+ The cat dog sound effects are so perfect
+ Nice OST even though I have no idea what the lyrics mean

Rewatch-
+ Would definitely rewatch!!
