awesome awesome awesome! now that i have gotten that out of my system. there was nothing bad in this drama. there was never a part i didn't want to watch or didn't care about. every scene is important and will always play a part in the larger drama. i had many suspicions throughout the drama and some came out to be true but that definitely does not mean that this drama is predictable. it just lead u to come up with just about every possible scenario.

okay lets talk about about the plot: the only reason i'm not giving it a ten is that there were parts where i was screaming "CALLL A FREakING AMBULANCE" or "who the hell does not call the cops?" but those are just cause i got too pulled into the story plot. but there were also just a little bit of outlyer they did not cover. but mostly all in all it was brilliant. i loved how the beginning was hilarious and later they brought out the romance. it was perfect.

acting: both the male and female lead were perfect! i mean they were the prettiest criers i have ever seen in my life. also i loved the male leads ability to change personality with just barely a change in the way he stands. as were the three musketeers. they were adorable and hilarious just what this drama needed from its side characters. as for the evil roles. i thought the evil guy needed anger management and the girl was just plain out gorgeous. both are also excellent actors who made me both like and hate them.

music: i am sure i heard some JYJ songs during this drama and other songs that went perfect with the moods.

rewatch: definitely the first episode at least and some more for the comedy. =)

overall this is one of the best drama's i've seen this year. it has a story plot of not only a romantic comedy but also one of mystery and a story about revenge and greed.

this was a great watch and hope everyone enjoys it.

Rooftop Prince had the perfect mix of comedy, romance, violence(!), & heart. There was never a slump in the story (which is a true rarity for K-dramas, especially ones that air past 16 episodes) & it had me guessing up until the last episode (before it blew my mind & had me crying & cheering during the finale). I recommend this wholeheartedly to everyone! BEFORE I FORGET: Lee Tae Sung & Jung Yoo Mi portrayed quite possibly two of the best villains I've ever seen! I've never loathed & loved characters simultaneously like I did with them. True sign of a drama's effective writing & excellent acting. Also Choi Woo Shik, Jung Suk Won, & Lee Min Ho: nothing but love for the 3 of them forever!!! I can't wait to re-watch this one again ASAP

Rooftop Prince is a story of reincarnation and love transcending time. It is not something that should be taken seriously, because it is fantasy. There are flaws in this drama, but the silliness and romance more than make up for it. It is a feel good drama even though there is death and normal drama angst. This is a rom/com fantasy drama so don’t look at it as a crime solving drama although there is a plot for you to figure out. Some people may find the ending sad, but I look at it as beautiful. It is somehow peaceful to know that there is a love that can last forever.

Some of the acting is cheesy, but that is the point of the drama. I have heard that people did not think that Micky Yoochun could act. I think that this drama will put that to rest. He did great playing both Lee Kak and Yong Tae Yong. He does a superb job at the point in this drama where he has to go back and forth. Han Ji Min was too cute as Park Ha and Boo Yong. She takes care of her man in many ways and looks totally sincere playing that role.
All the actors were great. Min Ho/Man Bo, Suk Won/Yong Sul, and Woo Sik/Chi San are too cute and play an intricate role in the lives of the main characters. Tae Sung plays one of the best bad guys in a drama that has totally lost his mind in Tae Mu. Yoo Mi plays the sister of Park Ha/Boo Yong that is bitter and cruel. I really enjoyed her character although the writers are a little too giving to the character of SeNa. It is the only time that I find the writing to be off base although they had to do it for the story to end as the romantic comedy they wanted instead of a tragedy. All in all the acting is really good.

I really did enjoy the music.

I probably won’t rewatch this drama.

Overall I would say this is definitely a drama to watch!!! Hope you enjoy!!!

After a long time i enjoyed a drama so much.....this drama had all the elements like fun, mystery, romance, comedy, fantasy,....I really loved the way the story went on....I just saw a clip in facebook and then started watching it....

Though the storyline was sometimes predictable it was really enjoyable at the same time....it makes you laugh too much and at the same time makes you cry....

My very first drama was "YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL" and till now it is the most special drama to me....I was searching for a long time for a similar drama and this drama felt somewhat similar like (male lead being arrogant, development of love between the leads, 3 boys and 1 girl staying together and caring for each other,....) If you liked YB you will surely like this though the plots are completely different...
Likes:
1.All the charecters were portrayed lovingly
2. Love development between the leads was good
3. There were many fun elements which made the show awesome

Dislikes:
1. The villain role was somewhat lagging
2. The story was sometimes predictable

This is my first time writing a review for a drama....this drama was really awesome so that i liked to share my thoughts on it....

This drama can make you excited episode per episode!!! ^_^?

It's a must watch drama and when you start to watch it, you'll want to finish it until the end. The story line is perfect as well as the characters. Each actor have portrayed their roles perfectly and every emotion is detailed and deeply felt.

This drama will make you laugh, cry and even nervous especially in the main twists. It's worth watching that you'll say to yourself "This is the best K-Drama ever!!"

The music is also perfect!! It matches every scenes and can make you even cry (Not to mention the great emotion of characters) you'll definitely love the OST!!

Actually, i've watched this drama for the 6th times and i'm still watching it! I'm sure you'll re-watch this over and over again!

I recommend this all the people who never experience true love, in love, wants to be in love, broken hearted, and even people who don't believe in love--what i mean is all the people!! ^_^\/

This drama shows the true meaning of L.O.V.E. ???

Without a doubt, Rooftop Prince is my favoritest favorite KDrama I have watched to date. It holds a special place in my heart. It was more laid back than the more intense, action-packed dramas, while still always holding my attention and clicking the next episode. Some parts were so hilariously funny, I can’t even explain it. Suffice to say that my sister and I probably sounded like a bunch of dying hyenas, we were laughing so hard. And the love story is so sweet, especially once you realize the meaning of everything in the last episode. For me, it’s Park Ha and Lee Gak forever. Literally. And the “Merry Three” as I like to call them– Lee Gak’s retainers– are the most adorable company ever. I love them. ^_^

Destiny, Fate, Reincarnation and Giving an unknown love another chance through another time--that's Rooftop Prince.

Story: It's extremely new. I believe this one was the first to introduce time travelling concept this year, it's original. From the start, I believe the premise that the story was trying to achieve was about destined love and simply said, it was there. The first two episodes was really hilarious; if you had watched other historicals before this one, this one would be really funny. There were episodes that feels that it's dragging the story already but would I recommend that for you to skip? No, some conflicts and unpredictable twists will unfold. The middle latter part had the comeback turn for me bacause the main story is picking up on it's main path. A struggling love of two destined lovers who hadn't given a chance on their past life- it's the concept of the romance for me. The ending? I wished it ended on episode 19! hehe., The ending was good but it could have been better. The ending was an open one., you'll the one to decide how you want it to end.

Acting/ Cast. The four people from the Joseon era were consistent on their acting. For that personalities to travel to the modern era., the show was extremely hilarious. I love how their characterization was made and for me they are not merely supporting roles., I love them. Han Ji Min performed well and the two main antagonist were convincing doing their evil deeds.

Music: The songs were light., not too intense but also fits on the episode being shown., and most of the time it had a fun feeling ( Again, most of the time because of the four rangers?.. haha.. )

Rewatch Value: It's rewachable if you are a lover of a romantic comedy concerning time-travelling concepts and you're a fan of the four guys in this story, I don't rewatch so it's up to you. :)

Overall: This is a drama that you will like if you are a believer of destined love or fate. It left me an impression that no matter what, if you were really fated for each other, your souls will find it's way to be together, if not now, maybe 300 years after? :D

Ok, this is my first review, I'll try my best.

Rooftop prince is one of the best drama I've ever seen.
At first it doesn't really get you because you can't really understand the situation, but please, don't stop, go ahead and watch it to the end.

With the second episode you slowly start to understand what's happening.
And it begins.
One thing after another.
At times you laugh, at times you don't know what is going to happen or what to expect.
It's unpredictable.

The characters are really good.
Each one of them is really different and has great personality.
You have to discover them.
You'll find yourself saying 'She/he won't do it, will he/she?'
And it will be the contrary, eheh.
It happened also to me.

I loved the cast and the OST.
Park Yoochun is amazing, really.

I recommend it, absolutely.

Only one thing: at the end I didn't fully understand how he knew exactly what happened in the past, but it's a drama, it will be forever a mistery XD

Fate, whether something is meant or not meant to be. This drama truly was brilliant in portraying the theme... Fate. I had been contemplating watching this drama because I didn't read into it enough. I thought it looked silly and unoriginal and I have never been so wrong. This drama is filled with so much betrayal, angst, love and longing: It was expressed in such a beautiful and realistic yet fantasy-filled masterpiece. Indeed I had never been a fan of history meeting modern day dramas, this drama was so much more. The acting by all of the cast was phenomenal, those who you were supposed to love you loved and those that were supposed to be hateful I can say I truly hated. The music was beautiful but somewhat repetitive but other than that it was a wonderful privilege to be able to watch something so creative and emotional. The comedy was hilarious as well and was neatly placed in just the right amounts. The ending definitely made everything worth it, although I prefer a bit more of a complete ending like in all the old princess tales I realize that when it comes to true wonder and the reader and watchers own longing for that it makes the piece much more praiseworthy. This was an absolute beautiful tale and I give it a 10. Romance and comedy lovers will definitely like this drama but I find that it is not as light as I thought it would be
so if you are extremely sensitive.. I'd watch it over a period of time. I hope this review helped. :D

PERFECT TEN!

AMAZING FROM STORY TO MUSIC TO ACTING. i love this show, definitely one of the best drama's i've seen, the story is so great! from beginning to end, its really well made! of course the actors are perfect 10 as well. they made me laugh so much, and cry as well. especially Park ha's step mom. The drama was very touching yet i never had the "DOWN" feeling i get when romantic comedies have a dramatic plot at the middle of the story and will make the whole series gloomy, i never saw that, the last episodes and ESPECIALLY the ENDING was great, definitely one of the best endings! 10!

WATCH IT. LOVE IT. :)

but seriously this show had everything. It made me cry, it made me angry (haha soo angry can't tell you how many times I wanted to strangle people) and it made me laugh really hard, especially when you watch this on viki and see people's comments. It's great the ending made me feel sad but it was a realistic ending to a magical story

This plot was one of the most original K-dramas I've watched in quite a while even though it had some of the typical aspects -like the guy and girl fall for each other, mysterious birth, ect.... However some of the middle episodes really started to drag, which is what kind of took it down a few pegs on my scale. The end as well was a bit dissapointing to me I have to admit, but it could have been much worse like a certain other drama this spring (yes, K-Pop The Ultimate Audition I'm talking about you). Also I must say as well that the plot was a bit predictable/frustrating in a few spots for me, but nothing too major (like bak ha finidng out she was **************'s daughter and vise versa took forever).

Otherwise I thought the actors did and excellent job - the chemistry between the main couple, the "3 amigos", the evil sister, the evil cousin, and the supporting cast members were all great.

There were some great sound tracks in this drama I have to say, although I'm terrible at remembering which ones I especially enjoyed. This drama is definately on my rewatch list, as it was cute, funny, mysterious, and romantic all in one. I would recommend this as a cute and fun drama that is great if you have the time to watch and are looking for something a little different than your average k-drama rom. com.
