Let me start off by saying that Mirai Nikki has more than one amazing concept. In fact, it seemed to be a combination of a few of my favorite movies, but I won't tell you which ones because that would be a major spoiler. Anyways, Mirai Nikki is a great show. The concepts alone make sure of that. Unfortunately it's not a masterpiece, which really sucks because it definitely had the potential to be.

The story is awesome, however the show itself lacks a certain flow. I'm not sure if this is due to the cinematography, the directing, or the production, but something just felt a little cheap about it. There has been a few other Japanese suspense shows that I've watched that have this same problem. It's a lack of professionalism, or perhaps movie magic that makes you feel like the fantasy movie world is real. It feels like I'm listening to someone trying to play a beautiful song but they're just not hitting all the right keys at all the right times.

That aside, 65% of the way through, the show changed course in a way that made me put most of my criticism on the back burner, and from then on the overall story continued to boost my approval of the show.

The acting wasn't bad, but it could have been better. Gouriki Ayame was so freaking cute as Yuno though. She definitely stole my heart. But I do feel like the acting would have appeared better if the show would have been produced better.

Overall I would say that Mirai Nikki is worth watching, but you're going to have to be a little forgiving while watching it. Maybe in the future I'll watch the anime, or perhaps one day they'll make a remake that will enhance the show and make it the masterpiece that it certainly could be.

I never read the manga and or watched anime becuz its much different from the drama.

The story was amazing and unpredictable! I kept wanting to know more becuz there were always cliff hangers!

I liked the music they used too.

2 of my favorite actors are in it! Okada Masaki and Hongo Kanata.

I got goosebumps watching this!

(First time i wrote a review for a drama.)

Hi there! ^^ It´s been a Long time, since I wrote a Review... but that´s not the Point now :D
The first Thing I want to say is that I got to know this Drama, because I collect the Manga series at home and know the Anime series, and when I noticed that there´s a Drama to Mirai Nikki: "Why not? I welcome it!"

Plot: The plot is one of the strongest Points of this Drama, the same as for the manga! I know, that there are Dramas, movies, books and so on whose Story is like Mirai Nikki´s but I think this is one of the best that I know!! It is very intertwined, so that you can´t tell which character is the "culprit", like it is in so many cases!

Cast: I liked the cast, it was good! I like the female and the male lead best. I think the actress of the female lead has done a very good job. I really hated and loved her at the same time, because she was so annoying and because she embodies her role very well! The same goes for the male lead, but I didn´t hate him :P

Music: The Music was satisfying. Although that electro/Techno fit the Drama well, it still isn´t very outstanding.

To be honest, I didn´t like the Drama so much first, because I was expecting something else, because it was changed from the Manga. The Highlights where I did expect something spectacular, weren´t spectacular and I thought that it was generally too rushed! After maybe 3 episodes, it did improve, so that I could really enjoy the Drama and I ended up crying, laughing and shouting at my Laptop in the end. :D

It won´t be a waste of time!! ^^

I heared about this dorama after watching the anime (and reading the freaking ending in the manga), and I was really amazed. I was hoping how will they do the special effects and which kind of history will modify.
With the firsts episodes I was really disappointed. It was absolutly diferent (only respected the names of Yuno and Deus, I think) and dropped it. Then, after a week, i gave it another try, and after passing the firsts episodes, I was really hooked.
The story is "the same but diferent". (I'll not tell too much because it'll be a spoiler). Worth to watch it.

The drama and anime was so different but it’s okay since I was looking for new, this is less gory compared to the anime/manga though haha. I find it boring from episode 2 to 6 until I watched episode 7 and reveal what are the twists of this show. It excites me a bit of what will happen next, it surprised me many times from that episode though.

The plot is interesting and how they changed it from the original manga, well I’m expecting that they will do the same as from the manga but I’m glad that they didn’t disappoint me from how they changed the plot and it entertains me. I was satisfied for the ending even though I want to see more of their story after what they had experienced.

At first I feel that the actors/actresses was like a random pick. For me it didn’t fit for them to play that role but I it grew to me and accept it because their acting wasn’t really bad at all. And as from the actress of Furusaki Yuno, I think she will be a perfect choice for the original female protagonist, Yuno Gasai which is a psychopathic girl of Mirai Nikki’s anime/manga series if they didn't change it. When I check the casting and saw her, I got a feeling that Yandere characteristic is fit to her. The music wasn’t bad but it lacks suspense, I love the ED theme though.

This series was worth watching especially to those who haven’t read the manga or watched the anime. Go try it!

I really liked the Anime so I was quite excited about this show.

The premise is the same, but there are quite a few changes, mainly different characters. They made Arata plenty likable (opposed to spineless Yukki) and didn't repeat the flaws from the Anime.
So the first few episodes were enjoyable and interesting (though slightly repetitive).

Then they strayed so much from the original plot that I started to get confused. It took me some time to accept the huge differences. The last few episodes have nothing to do with the premise anymore, except that it's the same characters.
Nevertheless, they made the "new story" work and if you forget about the original solution, this version also makes sense. It's just that I like the original version better (Like usually, haha).

I think I would rate this 7 even if I hadn't seen the Anime. Even though there are minor plot holes the story is fine, but it didn't quite pull me in. Sometimes it's really predictable, other times I couldn't predict it at all.
The acting is sufficient, but not really that good. Plus, the love story is... it's not that it's unbelievable, but it lacks substance.

All in all it was a decent, short watch.

If you are a fan of the Anime and not so much fond of huge alterations, you should not watch this.
On the other hand, if you watched the Anime and think this will be boring, because you know the ending: be assured it's not like that.
If you don't know the Anime/Manga and are looking for some Psychological Mystery, you might as well give this a try.

Another drama based on manga - and I must say it's looking good.

As for the story it's really good, here we have couple of strangers with strange devises which can predict future. I know I would like to have one of those ;)

Drama has a very good music that fits the story very well.

Main characters are dragged out to play dangerous game. They struggle to succeed. Main leads acting is very good I'm impressed - not often I can see good acting in j-dramas unfortunately. Drama has great mystery in it. I encourage you guys to try find out ^^

Mirai Nikki was another mystery romance thriller done right. If you're a fan of Japanese mysteries or thrillers I'd recommend this. I went into the drama expecting exactly what the summary had written and I am extremely pleased with where it had gone.

The story is amazing. I can see how it was originally a manga and then an anime. Although, I've heard that the manga and anime were different from the drama. The summary of the drama is very close to what it is for the first part of it. At one point it changes its direction / approach and that's when I was amazed. The plot reveals are just perfect. I remember there was this one point where I just had to continue watching although it was 3AM in the morning. The drama keeps you guessing on several things while staying on task. You're always reminded of the main motive of the characters. You'd think you got everything figured out only to be punched in the gut and have to guess it all over again.

The acting was good. I can't say it was great because sometimes the long pauses to create anticipation just didn't do it for me. Sometimes the acting felt cheesy to me. The supporting roles didn't have enough story to them for you to really attach yourselves to them. Thus when they are to act a certain emotion, it just doesn't come off as genuine. Nonetheless, everyone did well cause they were creepy when they had to be and light when the situation demanded so.

The OST is amazinggg. I loved it and searched for it once I hit the 3rd or 4th episode. It really reflects the whole situation. It had some technological and mechanical sounds which went really well with the setting of the story. Thriller soundtracks are always great. When listening to it alone you can imagine yourself trying to solve something very important when you might just be making toast LOL!

Rewatch value is @ 7 /10 cause I'm sure once you know the reveals they aren't as exciting but the romance in the story is heartwarming. I'd watch it for the romance. It also comes off as slow and repetitive when you rewatch it - only because you know what's coming up and wish that it would happen faster.

I'm a huge fan of the original story, so when I saw that there was a drama version of Mirai Nikki, I knew I needed to watch it right away. It took me some time to finish it, not because the drama is long, but because during the first episodes I was kinda disappointed and a little bit bored. I mean, I really, really, really loved everything about the anime and the mangas, so I was hoping to see something like that.

As someone said in a review, too, the story is the same, but different. And even though in the first five episodes I was just watching because I needed to see what they would do with it, after episode six I couldn't stop watching. After watching (and loving) it, I think I can say I like the drama version more. Yeah, I feel kinda bad for saying it, but it's specially because we can identify ourselves with the main characters, more than we could with a psycopath Gasai Yuno (even though I FREAKING LOVE HER) and a boring Amano Yukiteru.

It takes you sometime to fully understand what's really going on, but I've experienced a mental breakdown starting from the second half of the story. I think it was terribly well done and it surpassed my expectations. Actually, when I was starting episode 6, I was thinking about what score I should give to this drama: "Well... I think I can give it the same as Boys Over Flowers... it's entertaining" AND THEN, oh my, I so regretted it.

My main problem with Mirai Nikki, though, was the acting. I mean, they ARE good actors (specially Deus, LIKE, SERIOUSLY), but the emotional and touching scenes would've been more intense if the acting was better. It annoyed me a little bit, yeah, but I don't dislike the drama because of it.
The music is, well, we only have two, three songs? They're great, but after some time it got a little bit repetitive.

All in all, I completely loved it - it may disappoint you if you're a fan of the original manga and anime, but I think I liked it so much because it surprised me. I won't say it's not good just because the story is not that alike to the original - also, I think the drama is less confusing, so that's a plus.
I only had a personal problem with the ending, but that's a pet peeve of mine. Don't mind me, just watch it. :D

I have this series since I don't know when, but I don't know why I didn't watch it the time I had it. And now, after I watch it, I'm really awed w(°o°)w

Right from the start I'm waiting for the twisted plot. And when the twisted plot coming, I'm really happy I can't stop watching (^o^) The early pace is somehow kind of boring and slow for my taste, but when the secret and gaffe slowly occur one by one, I start to interested so much.

In the middle of the series, the story seems near to the end. That makes me think that there must be something more than the story I've watched. I'm not disappointed, because there was indeed something bigger than what I had watched in the early episodes. Many questions are answered, but many new questions arise.

The last two episodes really become the climax of this series. The last episode really play with my emotion, where I can learn about sacrifice, pain, trust and love. But unfortunately, the ending feels a bit rushed for me. Then to make the ending more complicated, the question arises about who Rui was, which was not answered until the last minute of the series. Or how Arata finally awake.

The seven plus one of the casts really have an outstanding acting skill, but these are my nominee for the great casts :
1. Okada Masaki for played the hero well. His acting, expressions and gestures really represent his feeling or mind at the moment.
2. Gouriki Ayame. Her annoying behavior at the early episodes towards Arata is really annoys me (>.<) But that means she's really all out in her act.
3. Nikaido Fumi as the bullied girl. Her acting really catch my attention and made an impression in my heart. Especially on the last episode when they pointed a gun at each other.

The music (ending theme song) is better after the twisted plot occured.

It is different than the anime. Don't expect it to follow the anime or manga.

After 5 episodes ; i felt like dropping it.
I thought i would write things like "Except yuno every other characters were lame " and stuffs.

But what an amazing way to make a comeback in the second half of the show!
It sure felt forced and kinda slow (i even watched at 2× speed) in the begining. But it cought up after episode 6.

And yes...it was amazing.
I though i would only watch it for ayame but no it was amazing to its core.

and ah yes the ending; absolutely satisfying. From what they hinted it was the mozt appropiate ending.
Even though it is possible that (spoiler from here on) arata and yuno only met in virtual life.(unlikrly though)
But most likely they finally met in real life and their story finally started again.

It wasn indeed sad when Both of them forgot each other but the last scene made it satisfying and worth watching.

Yes the characters felt a little laid back but overall by the end it played out well.

I liked it because it was so trhilling, had unique plot and all - the music, characters and plot went well together. There's nothing more to say. I wish I could look more of it, because I watched like 5 episodes on the hook of the first day and the others the second day. This is a must-see, you can never pretend what's going to happen and there's so much mystery and thrill!!!
