This is a kind of drama that slowly grows on you. A quarter through and I had a compulsion or two to drop this but somehow there was also an insistent tugging to check out the next episode. This being a Kim Sun Ah drama, her unexpected charm and finesse on taking over a character had once more amazed me for I always start out being a little put off by her.

Surprisingly pleasant, but might be more appealing to a mature audience who can appreciate the subtleties. To say that both laughter and tears were fairly distributed is one way of qualifying it but for one thing, though this is obviously an older woman-younger man pairing, it did not get dragged into that old school territory. Additionally, you couldn't possibly feel guilty even if you switch camp between the main couple or secondary couple. That's how pleasant this is, both male leads were simply charming. And because the "falling in love" period was truly subtle and realistic, I was genuinely there with them when it happened.

Though the music was just your normal fare, the main theme was pretty nice, catchy and meaningful.

Yep, this one is good for re-watch on one of those rainy nights.

This drama is a refreshing change of pace from other Korean dramas I have seen lately. Although the focus of this drama is Ji An’s pregnancy, I think that the theme could be that life isn’t always what you expect it to be. I think the progression of this story is well laid out and moving.

I love this story of a strong woman that has her life changed, but she still remains strong. Kim Sun Ah is a great actress. I think she played Ji An very well. First she is closed off and hard, but after meeting Tae Kang she changes to a woman that slowly begins to show her emotions with out losing herself. She shows how tuff it must be to have to tell your family, friends, and in her case the company about her pregnancy. I thought her reaction and the reactions of those people to the news were very genuine. Lee Jang Woo does a great job as Tae Kang, who is at first a boy with no ambition that turns into a man with focus. Tae Kang may be immature, but his sincerity is what I think Ji An sees in him. Park Gun Hyung does an excellent job of playing Eun Sung. He is smart, good looking, strong and protective.

The side stories and other characters also add to the story and the actors did a really good job.

Oh and the music is really good.

This is definitely ranked up there as a must see drama for me. I will probably watch it again.

This is one of the cutest dramas I have ever watched. From the very beginning you know where the story is going, although some doubts are laid through various episodes to pique one's interest. This will be no brainteaser, nor drive-you-to-an-emotional-wreck kind of drama, this is the kind of show that you watch to stop thinking and enjoy the fortuitous events that connect the characters and the hilarious occurrences the writers could come up with.

Sure, there were a lot of loose ends, and parts of the plot where one would say, "how convenient". But, although it takes itself seriously at the beginning, the show's mood lightens up as our main character is changed through the miracle of motherhood.

The acting...well, this is a cast full of superb actors and they do their best in every scene, but I think that the comedic intention of the writers and/or directors could have driven them to some overacting at points. I don't really care though, because they did a great job at it as well.

I would definitely watch this show again. With every episode I would just sit back, enjoy and laugh to my heart's content. So, if you are looking for a lighter note on your drama watch and want to just have a fun time free of tears, yet full of random unfathomable occurrences, then you will enjoy this show.

I started to watch this show as I really liked the actress and it seemed an entertaining drama.
I like romantic comedies as opposed to sad and miserable melos, (dont get me wrong I like melos too but just not deperessing and painful ones and I definately like happy endings)
The show started out really nice, actually the acting of the younger guy was cute and adorable, just could not make out why he falls for such an older woman.
The doctor guy was really cute too and so suited to the heroine, but well.
It does get a bit draggy in the middle but then finishes off nicely.
I cant say "You must watch it, but I will say it is one of the nice dramas during this season" so if you have the time give it a go and enjoy!!

I love a noona romance as much as the next girl and it was the main reason why I watched it in the first place but I can't shake the feeling that this drama's story wasn't told in the right pace. They rushed the ending by stretching the first part too much.

Her character was too cold for my taste and he was too sweet for her.
However I did want them together but only because the second leads weren't right for the main ones either.

So for starters, I have just got to say how truly great this drama is. It had such a nice story with great characters. It definitely deserves a 10! Each week was just plain agony because waiting for a new episode killed me. The story wasn't amazing but it was well written. The cast was great and their acting made the drama even more enjoyable. As expected from Kim Sun Ah, she is an amazing actress. She can never disappoint me. Her acting in the drama was great, as always, and so were the other actors and actresses in the drama. Overall, if you watch this drama, you will very much like it. I had fun watching it.

This drama gives me many feelings. Where do I even start?

When starting this drama, all I knew was that Kim Sun Ah (from My Name is Kim Sam Soon) was in it, and it was about shoes. That's it. Well, this drama is obviously so much more than just shoes. It's about a confident shoe designer (who's gotta be in her late 30s) named Hwang Ji An who is the very definition of independent. If your looking for a drama with the type of heroine who don't need no man, this is it. Hwang Ji An is very smart and savvy, and basically built her self up to the type of respected shoe designer she is. "Started from the bottom" is perfect to describe her. Though she's respected by her colleagues, she doesn't really have any friends. They all think she works them too hard. On top of that, she doesn't have a very good relationship with her parents (namely, her father). By chance of fate, she runs into Park Tae Kang, and ends up having a one-night stand with him. Park Tae Kang is a 27 year old high-school dropout with no real dreams or aspirations. He just sells knockoff shoes with his father. But little do they both know, that one one-night stand wasn't the end of their acquaintance. He ends up getting a job at her company, and she finds out she's pregnant.

First and foremost, I'm not a fan of those older woman/younger guy dramas. I'm barely a fan of age gaps, but I've realized it doesn't really have much to do with the age. It's the maturity levels! Which is why age gaps don't work for me most of the time, cuz the younger person is always so much more immature than the older person. Maybe it's because I'm a woman myself, but what mature successful intelligent woman is gonna go after a kid basically. Ugh, I just don't like it. But it really didn't stop this from being a good drama, that's just my preference. I Do, I Do touches on important topics for women which don't get touched in kdramas. Hwang Ji An is this successful woman who isn't looking for love in a man, she's looking for love from her parents (especially her father). And I just love that. Familial love is so much more important. I'm one of those people who didn't really know what the drama was about, so I didn't know she was gonna end up pregnant, but I had a strong suspicion once she had that one-night stand with Park Tae Kang. I really really really didn't want her to get pregnant, especially cuz right after the one-night stand, she was set up on a date with this really great guy (who is successful as well and a much better candidate). She was looking at a promotion within her company, she had all this stuff going for her, and then the bomb dropped. She found out she was pregnant and it just wasn't fair. Which is probably how a lot of people feel about unexpected pregnancies. But bb girl was strong and resilient, and I really respected the choices she made. Questions like is marriage necessary to raise a child were addressed, and I really loved how the drama dealt with her feelings.

I'm not forgetting about Park Tae Kang, but he's secondary when it comes to why this drama was so good. Park Tae Kang is a good kid, but that's just it, he's a kid. Yeah, he's 27, "technically" he's an adult. But I just don't see the chemistry between him and Hwang Ji An. At the beginning of my review I said that he had no dreams or aspirations, but after he "falls in love" with Hwang Ji An he gets some. And that's good I guess, but why make her your motivation? The real problem I have with this drama is the main pairing. It just doesn't make sense. When and how did he fall in love with Hwang Ji An. Why, because of the one-night stand? I can't stomach romantic set-ups like that. I need a viable genuine reason why two people are in love. Not just because they had sex so yeah now they're in love. Ugh. Especially when there is a great second lead!! It hurts my heart to witness, but he's so cool and I'm glad they didn't just throw him with some random in the end.

This is a good drama, I'm not saying it isn't. I just don't like how Park Tae Kang "fell in love" with Hwang Ji An, and that just so happens to be a big aspect of the drama. But still, it's a good drama. Good overall message. Who doesn't love to see confident independent women? Kim Sun Ah is amazing! If ur thinking of watching just for her, then it's ttly worth it! I really want to give the acting/cast a 10, but I didn't like Lee Jang Woo's acting all tht much. It's not bad enough to take away from the drama, but it affects my rating for acting/cast. Music is pretty catchy. I don't see myself rewatching this, but I don't see myself NOT rewatching it lol. I think it's pretty marathon-worthy.

It didn't end badly per say, but it didn't end great either. Also, there are some actual cute moments in this drama. Not every single Hwang Ji An/ Park Tae Kang scene was cringe-worthy. Their kiss scenes are pretty cute. Not a must-see, but I would recommend. It's really not a bad drama, and again, Kim Sun Ah is amazeballs.

Embrace the uncertainity of the future

Kim Sun Ah has become one of my favorite top leading actress. I have watched three of her dramas so far: My Lovely Sam Soon, Scent of a woman, and now I Do I DO. All three dramas I have rated 9+. I Do I Do, I was debating 9.5 or 10. I almost went for 10 but I want to reserve 10s for those dramas that I am going to remember 1-2 years from now.

Kim Sun Ah is just a master of extruding "way of being" and expressing emotions with her eyes and facial expressions. In this drama she plays a "controlling" personality with little vulnerability. A one night stand changes her entire life and I love the transformation of her "way of being" from that of a controlling to "controlling" and "trusting".

For me, this drama manages to accomplish a very serious subject and perfectly balance it with humor to send a powerful message about life. I get emotional just thinking about it!!! As a male figure, it is easy to forget or totally not relate to a woman's journey from pregnancy to childbirth. I have children of my own and after watching this drama, I have a whole new appreciation for their mother.

Kim Sun Ah as Ji An, has to make tough choices after discovering her pregnancy goes through various emotions and reasoning. In one scene she discovers that there many reasons to abort the baby and not a single reason (from her world view) to keep the baby and when she does find that find reason, it was the turning point of her life as well as for the drama. At that moment I knew that I was watching a drama of quality written by writers who have a deep understanding of a woman's journey in the modern day of professionalism.

This drama is not everyone especially given the low ratings of this drama and by other reviewers. In a 16 hour drama there are bound to be some drag out moments where one just wants skip over those parts. This drama had some of those moments but they are forgiven because rest of the dramas was simply a masterpiece of comedy with seriousness. But if you like the work of transformation and a study "heroes" journey then JI An passed that with flying colors. This woman was a HERO of her life and her baby. That is a powerful message for all of us who TRY to be a hero. In fact there was a scene in this drama about TRYING vs. DOING. If you are looking for a typical ROMCOM with escapism then this is not for you.

After watching many Korean Dramas, the endings are predictable and it was predictable as to which guy she will choose. But I couldn't figure out why she would choose him. I really had to step into JI An's character to figure that out. Once I saw it, I had to give another point to the writers of this drama. That realization made the ending perfect for me. To quote:
"What is the right.. Where should I go from here? I will probably live with concerns and panic. But I am not afraid anymore. Life does not go as expected, But it brings unexpected gifts.... I received such gifts in those short 9 months...what kind of gifts will be waiting for me in rough future? I am very curious already. NO, I am definitely looking forward to them."
Given this new awareness about herself, her way of being has transformed from cautious, controlling to curious and Open to new possibilities. The guy she chose at the end represented that uncertainty and exploration. The other guy and his profession provided security and more of the same. Thus, a riskier choice about her companion makes more sense. WOW!!!

I look forward to Kim Sun Ah's other drama. Thank you for your talent!!

I kind of started watching this on a whim, but I'm so glad I did. The characters, particularly Tae Kang and Ji An, were so entertaining to watch. I was laughing out loud and growling at Chairwoman Jang, looking away in secondhand embarrassment.

Although the plot gets kind of slow near the middle, the last few episodes really showcase how wonderful the drama really is, and how it addresses real life issues like abortion and single working mothers (and how they are treated by the companies they work for).

I would recommend this drama to someone who maybe just finished a really depressing drama (like I did... I finished It's Okay, It's Love and there's a tear-jerker) and need something light and comedic without a clear outright villain suffering from Second Male Lead Syndrome.

I am just waiting for the last two episodes of this kdrama and it is very good for me because there are a lot of scenes that made me laugh because of the ignorance and the innocence of the male lead. But what made him lovable is his sincerity in everything that he does.
After some serious scene , expect to laugh if he is there.

The story is just right, not so melodramatic and of course the female lead is not OA nor lack in acting. But i wanted to praise her for being a great dresser, since she lost a lot of weight and with a pair of long legs. The showcase of a lot of pretty shoes and bags are really something, since the story revolved around shoes and fashion, they became realistic! but i really loved looking at the shoes and bags that the female lead is using!

Over all, it never bores me and I was able to finish it in one sitting that is why it is very good!

The synopsis sounded appealing to me since I don't watch a ton of noona romances. The story was fine but then I got kinda bored towards the end of the drama so I found myself fast forward watching the last two episodes.

I found the male lead hilarious and silly at times and he had great chemistry with all the other characters around him. I felt really bad for the second lead male because he is obviously a very caring man who I wouldn't expect anything less as second lead. I didn't like the female's dad. Unless he shout speaks he seemed to be extremely angry through all the interactions he had with everyone. It was kinda disappointing to not see any actual pregnancy and romance progression since literally the whole drama was around and about the company. I understand the woman was supposed to be a workaholic but sheesh there's such thing as doing too much work.

I won't be rewatching this drama because it was way too much on the business side of things.

I recommend this to those who don't mind the lack of romance but like the business dramas that have a hint of comedy.

It begins with the silliness and the promise of yet another amusing kdrama, with enough coincidences that put the main couple in each others paths.

I liked the cast and enjoyed the relationship between the characters. Park Tae Kang was an admirable cheerful character, who was passionate about whatever he set his heart on and Hwang Ji An was a character whose success gave her both comfort and restrictions. It was nice that there was nothing too overdramatic about it and that the characters were able to stick to their values and found a way to fend for themselves.

It had plenty of funny or sweet little moments, but somehow somewhere in the middle of the drama it didn't hold the same interest as it did in the beginning. It ended leaving a satisfying feeling, but nothing spectacular, nor disappointing.
