*Small spoil?* I didn't have much expectation for kiss scenes since he's quite young but I think they have some (seen in the ending song shots) and I'm lowkey looking forward to them.

Not quite the fluffy drama
A time lapse drama is tricky because it really has to be done well to keep viewers engaged and invested. This drama focused mainly on 2007 (high school) and gave us 5 minute clips of 2015 (post college) at the end of each episode. The problem was 2015 became more interesting than 2007. The 2007 time period was just too slow...30 minute episodes that should typically go by really fast seemed to drag on forever, which was such a bummer. This wasn’t the light and fluffy drama I was expecting either... in actuality it was more melancholic, with an air of sadness and regret. The leads were both likeable and there was chemistry between them...but the same misunderstandings piled up. The FL moved so slowly and talked so slowly and always seemed so sad and burdened...she did seem to have some inner strength and resilience, but when she described herself as dull... I couldn’t help but agree. I enjoyed ML and for a newbie I liked his acting and thought he was charismatic and played his role well.
The end project that brought them all back together in 2015 also didn’t make much sense. If they had all been part of a fine arts school or were trying to save the school by raising money that would be one thing ....but the showcase (which they never even showed) was to help the ballerina girl .... who I never rooted for because I could never figure out her true intentions. Maybe I missed something here...
At the end of the day, I stuck around mainly to watch the ML's story play out (with the help of the fast forward button). I'm thankful this drama had a HE...that was it's redeeming factor.

Do Not Waist Your Time.
I found this drama slow and boring. I found that I was more interested in what was happening in 2015 then in 2007. The male lead is a typical cute boy who bullies the female lead because he likes her but won't tell her. The female lead is the usual shy, naïve girl that does not do anything bad but always gets in trouble. The female lead annoy me because I felt that half the time she was space out, and as cold and stiff as a light pole. When they said she was crying I could not see it or feel it because it look so fake and her eye did not even seem wet. I could not understand the relationship with her parents. Yes, they were strict but they seem as they had no feelings for her. What happen to motherly love. Especially she is their only child. Her house seem more as a detention center then her family house. The principal seem as he was constipated, that is the look he constantly gave. The man could never crack a smile. Maybe he needed to fart. The army sergeant had more understanding of the kids and was more relatable to the kids then the principal. The story did not make sense and I thought the back and forth was worthless. The script writer especially needed to read his own scrip and make it work and the director also needed help. Was this review helpful to you?
Super average and generic
It's a super average and generic school drama. It has your typical shy and naive female lead and a cold male lead that secretly likes the female lead, but likes to tease her a lot. The actors are super young so when there's a time jump, they seem like a bunch of kids playing adults. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but just know there will not be much on screen romance because of it...it's basically a lot of puppy love. Speaking of time jumps, this drama goes back and forth between the past and present. It can get pretty confusing to follow because they don't pick up where they left off. The female lead's parents are super strict, she's practically a prisoner. It was all very suffocating to watch. The only unique thing this drama has going for it is that the male lead is a dancer and he's got moves. You get to see some cool dance routines because of it. Also, one of the pairs is really cute, but we don't get to see much of them together. Was this review helpful to you?

Soo i just completed this cute, fluffy highschool drama(Remember My Boy) Everything about this drama is soo amazing ? though the story of this drama is quite same as other highschool drama but there is no such a point where you will feel ? bore. I watched this drama just for zhou keyu but i ended up liking everyone and every character ❣️. There acting was on point even though they are first timer. This drama basically show about friendship ? dreams. Soo you guys gotta watch this drama?. Thank you zhou keyu and Bubble Zhu for portraying the life of Zhang Yang And Zhou Jing Mang??Was this review helpful to you?
0 newness to this HS cliche overload drama
Then and now kind of story with first loves but ML FL clothes change in adulthood but acting gestures don't change . It's literally the same story line which would've been ok if the dialogue was a bit more interesting. Typically for these to be successful you need strong funny side supporting characters which there aren't any. Some smart back and forth between the leads which there's like one moment.Story include:
1. FL weak doormat crybaby always needing to be rescued
2. ML cold on the outside and seems to bully the girl but is really helping her
3. Bad parenting and a terrible school official
4. Jealous side girl
5. School bully boys which only ML can defeat
6. Misunderstanding till the end
7. Countless years where no one moves on
8. Story finally resolves in the end years years years later
The End

A cliche high school drama about first love
Sorry I couln't stand it any more! This drama's genre is very similar because its basically the same type of school drama. Your female lead is a shy, naive. Male lead is the bad boy type , looks cool and cold but is warm at heart.Nothing about this drama wows me. Its pretty average to the characters and whats happening. It does flash backs from high school to the modern day, but the their modern day is like 2015 lol. The flashbacks and the switching back and forth doesnt do anything to add to the story. You can most definitive tell the male lead likes the female lead but at 14 episodes you still dont know why he mysteriously left and didnt contact anyone for like 5 years. During the school years the male lead likes to pick on the female lead.
I though it would be more cute, sweet puppy dog romance but its pretty slow. Female lead is very young (real age lol) when she dresses a little mature to represent the older self, its not very convincing. Maybe because its her first drama? Male lead on the other hand is younger than female lead , I feel like her can act better !Like him more than the female lead

Cute...worth watching
This drama probably one of the few dramas where the padt and present both have shown of the couple past and cyrrent relationship in each episode....i like this manner/order.Usually in a drama...if the couple broke up after school or uni and then they meet after fews year...what happens in this type is that...maximum how they meet to broke up is shown...as if the one the ML/FL reciting how they met which takes up alomst all episodes.
And at then like last 5 episodes their present is shown the afermath and all...dont get me wrong ....not all drama follow this plot but most do...??
I lile how from the beginning to end both past and present sides of the couple was shown...the story is cute...light headed but at the same time....i feel reay for FL for having two teachers as her parents....like i cannot imagine going back home from school and enter another school where your parents are teacgera and give you homework and homework and homework.
I liked the chemistry between the couple...especially the ML as he is the typical drama ML only having eyes for the FL or nothing else....like the way he look at her and does everything for her.
The story is typical about a nerd girl and bad boy or opposite of nerd guy....their friendship, school, how they solve their problem together is what the story is about.
One thing i liked was like even though they knew they liled each other but they put themselves or the FL lead put themselves just being classmates or best friend was like hilarious to me as i knew everyone knew there werent just friends. But the couple didnt have kiss scene in school at all...all was there pur true love for each other...they didnt even need to go a relationship as they were already each other bf and gf without them knowing and idk why seeing that was satisying.
Sometimes we dont know how we fall in love with your friend and you are anyways comfortable and know your daily habits...so it wasnt a shock when ML proposed her at the end of last episode. As at that time it was like you are marrying her without dating...lile from being to classmate to best friend to marraige may sound doubtful but in this drama...it was satisfying. Ig i will their relationship as bf and gf started from when they became to classmate to friends to best friends.....
Even though story lack bits and pieces but its worth warching...in some ways it really gives hope and kind of eye opener for us who think toppers are born genious and they dont have problems and how they end up falling love with a person who aint good in studying and how to cope being a good or bad student....idl in some ways and some scenes was like a eye opners or something i thought and made me realise something!
Casting was done perfectly....all the cast did a fantastic job to bring out their roles and shine them....its seen in the drama amd their efforts paid well.
Music i liked it and the choreo too!!!
Its worth of your time to watch this drama and i hope you like!

The Slowest Burning Romance Ever
The short flash forwards at the end of each episode made me feel like this couple was not meant to be. I can’t remember them kissing until they were grown up. They were never even boyfriend/girlfriend throughout high school though they obviously liked each other (her parents would never have allowed any dating). I hated the FLs parents as they smothered her, discouraged and even punished her for following her dream of writing. The drama does have a beautiful ending and was kind of unexpected considering the flow of the ML and FLs relationship in the past and present. Was this review helpful to you?
Not Good Enough
Chinese Drama "Remember My Boy" did not handle the time jump well. The first episodes built up a momentum that the conclusion of the story did not live up to.But, first things first. The story is based on an interesting idea, however, the cat and dog dynamics lasted for about three episodes. The 'future' timeline was boring and was not handled well. Some episodes of the past timeline were boring too. Overall, the drama used most of the cliche scenes found in school romances and, thus, did not manage to differentiate itself from the rest of the youth dramas. The love story also took too long to have a smooth progress.
Other than that, the performances were nice.
So, overall, three out of ten.

Has its good parts but is formulaic
This started out pretty endearing — I liked that the main girl was the one with high grades, and that the guy was teasing but kind and had his dream of dancing. However, I think it quickly became too formulaic, with all the typical school cdrama plots (sports day, talent show, tutoring, etc.) and none of the character or plot development. The main girl's passiveness quickly became really annoying, and it was like she never had a good verbal reaction to second lead and never had a conversation with her parents and never had her own thoughts unless she was judging main lead without knowing all the facts. Even past the time jump her actions made no sense and made her seem clingy still; It's fine if she started out like this but staying this way for 24 episodes was too.
Overall, the time jump just wasn't enjoyable and the future plot was very anticlimactic after using a very common trope for it.
I also just wish we got to learn more about the side characters so that they didn't feel second-rate; I really liked the second pairing's banter but their story was left behind.

IT'S OKAY
I have just finished watching this drama just for the sake of finishing it. At first I was drawn with how the trailer was made, although the story line was a cliche it seems that they'll be doing some twist. They did not. This drama could have been made better. It was slowed-phased at some point but the story was kinda "rushed". It's not that bad but like I've said, it's good enough just to finish watching it, hoping that the ending will be good but rather disappointing. The execution of the story was confusing, I mean, I get what the director or writer is trying to do but they fail to do it. but if ever that they'll be remaking this, I'll definitely watch it. This drama has a lot of potential. Was this review helpful to you?
