It is very deep, heavy story, coated into warm and cozy feeling, but as winter brings snow storms , it resembles the life , after a winter the lovely , light as it takes some burdens away spring comes after. It will always knock onto our doors just sometimes it takes time to reach , this story resembles it's very well.

Actors are very good associated with their roles, You can feel like actually fitting in the scenery.
Delicate love story between Hero and the Heroine is like a true life love which many dream about. Eyes which look at Us with love , which doesn't held anything behind , They will welcome You whenever You are ready .

Overall very beautiful story, with a warm heart I recomend this story .

I was so excited for this drama because of park min young and seo kang joon, they're one of the best in kdrama world. And i was not disappointed at all. Indeed, they have a very good chemistry. For some, they might find this drama a bit boring, maybe because of the setting, which took place in one of the far province of south korea. The background music were mostly very mellow and because most of the scenes were inside a bookstore and it revolves mostly on the people who loves to read books and poems that is why some may find it uninteresting. But for me, that's exactly what the drama should be. Mellow, simple, unpredictable. The dramatic pace of the drama is just about in its right timing. I love how the writer unfolded the love that has been hidden for years and the secret concealed on the expressionless face. The drama taught us a few lessons in life. Forgiveness, sacrifices you can give for a loved-one, second chances and patience. It all pays off in the end. The other characters on the drama were all great as well, they were the balance of the very serious well-mannered character of seo kang joon. Thank you for giving the audiences another good drama, KOREA.

A Cozy Melodrama about Finding Happiness

This series is a slow-burn romance that isn't afraid to take time to show you little moments like watching the main character make coffee. But don't be mistaken: these scenes don't feel like wasted time and instead feel like they are immersing you into the slow pace of country side life and showing you the methodical level of care that the characters in the story have for their passions in life.

Story: At its core, the drama is about finding happiness in the midst of exploring love, finding understanding and forgiveness, and living with mistakes and challenges. Each episode shows the viewer just a little bit more about the situations that the characters have to face or the key events that have shaped their personality. My only complaint is the ending: it wraps up everything ALMOST nicely, but it feels like they could have used just one more episode to fully flesh out the transition to the conclusion of the story. Other than that, everything falls into place.

Acting: Subtlety is the name of the game for this show. The characters have really "normal" conversations with each other, and although the show does indulge itself with some dramatic monologues, all of it fits into a construction of the melodrama. To this end, I feel the actors did a great job -- Kim Hwan Hee especially deserves a shout out for being a very convincing free-spirited, capricious, young girl. But otherwise Park Min Young and Seo Kang Joon played their characters well -- you won't see them agonizing over some Makjang plot but you will see them be appropriately sad, happy, and frustrated.

Music: The OST is very fitting for this kind of show. One track uses an accordion, which I felt somehow gave me a rural feel, which is fitting for the setting. You won't find any fast paced, KPop idol songs here, but more ballads and slow tracks.

Rewatch Value: I don't think this show is the type where you will instantly go back and rewatch it, but I think you will indulge yourself if you are in the mood for a "feel good" show.

Overall, I think this series was very good. It's hard for me to find serious faults with it -- it knows what it is and it delivers a satisfying melodrama.

Repressed Emotions Delay Happiness!

Finally, a kdrama where I’m not having heart palpitations in every episode because of scary situations, violence, or love triangles getting overly messy. I felt that this was a wonderful slow walk through the garden. It also highlighted the impact of domestic abuse. Clearly, if it is part of this series, it must be an issue in Korea, and I’ve read is an issue in Korea. Hopefully the series will help to bring the issue to people’s attention. However, like most kdramas, the problems of the main characters evolve from lack of communication. After I watched the scene at the high school reunion where they ask who liked whom in high school and ML (Im Eun Sub) says he liked FL (Mok Hae Won) and then he goes home and is totally embarrassed when she knocks on the door, I was actually laughing to myself. In the US, the scenario could have played out like this: Boy admits he likes girl. Girl texts him later and says something like, “So, did you really like me in HS or were you just saying that?” Boy replies, “I really did—didn’t you know?” She says “Hmmmm…well, that’s good to know, I thought that might have been the case.” He says, “Do you want to meet tomorrow?” She says, “OK, text me tomorrow.” They then proceed to date and either it works or it doesn’t! No weeks of trying to figure out feelings, etc. The American boy might have been a little embarrassed to admit that he liked her in high school but he might have also been a bit happy to admit this to everyone. I know--there are plenty of Americans with communication issues, etc. but almost every kdrama is based on buried feelings so just worth noting!

This brings up an issue for me which is really beginning to concern me about these kdramas (haha!) which is that people don’t seem to be able to identify their true feelings or understand how their lack of understanding emotions impact themselves or those around them. Of course, without these conflicts, then the kdramas wouldn't last as many episodes as they do! They'd probably be 4 episodes! Even so, why couldn't the mother see that she was destroying her daughter by not communicating? That made me so sad? Why didn’t Im Eun Sub ever talk to Mok Hae Won during high school? That was weird. Why did Aunt Shim Myung Yeo act cold to Mok Hae Won, even though she was warmer than mom was? Granted, she was willing to commit suicide with her niece in the river although we find out later that it was more to relieve her own guilt than to commiserate with Mok Hae Won. Why didn’t Mok Hae Won’s best friend apologize at school? Why, why, why? Too many repressed emotions!!!!!! There were two bright lights in terms of people who were strong mentally -- Im Hwi, ML's sister, and Lee Jan Woo--ML's friend. Im Hwi was a bit of a show stealer because she wore her emotions on her sleeve. Loved it! Lee Jan Woo was hilarious, even though he had a stammering/stuttering problem whenever he was flustered. In any case, in the US, both Mok Hae Won AND Im Eun Sub would have most likely been in therapy during high school. I guess therapy's not a thing in Korea,( according to some subber comments I saw when watching) which is really unfortunate. Even so, as per required by kdrama law, both Im Eun Sob and Mok Hae Won seemed to finally get their bearings and be on the road to healthier mental states. And, all in all, even though I have spent two paragraphs enumerating my concerns about mental health, the show really was beautiful--showing the bonds of community and the consistency of love.

A true love story

So. This is probably taking the place as being my favorite drama. This is not a fast-paced drama. It's a slow, steady, soulful drama. To me, this is a real love story. The characters aren't perfect. None of them are particularly spectacular in any way. They're all very normal characters overall. The plot also follows very normal people, with the exception being the one big subplot. But again, I love that this drama doesn't focus so much on that as it does the development of people. This is a drama that you can really watch and maybe even see some of yourself in it. It isn't fantastical in any way... and I think that's what makes it perfect. Make sure to read the journal entries at the end of every episode!

I'm Speechless...How mesmerizing was chemistry between leads. Seo Kang Joon , is such a charismatic actor ❣️ & Park Min young is as always brilliant.Love the way they portrayed every character and balanced between past and present. "Lim Hwi's character was so active and happy go lucky , she is an awesome actress.
I can't explain how this drama is so meaningful and touching. Each and every episode was sweet and great.

Poetry to the Eyes and Ears

Sublime! This to me was everything I could wish for in comforting and calming the spirit. The Silences evoked emotions that words sometimes cannot. The Pace of the story like sitting by a lakeside watch the slow lapping of the waves on the shore felt like the perfect rhythm for me.Every moment, every second counted in this series. Understated some may say, but why shout out feelings when more can be said with a touch or a glance. The hours passed by so quickly as i submerged myself amongst all the characters and not just the leads. Everyone has a story in life. All are important and all connect in one form or another.
The visuals were stunning, the music near perfect catching and creating moods. Yes this is in my Top 3 of all time as of this moment. I am new to Korean Drama as yet. But I have been lucky to have come across every once in awhile a little jewel like this. It is not as highly publicised as the big money shows, but to me the value of the show is how it makes me feel and the warmth it generated within me. Yes I Love 'When the Weather is Fine'

Just finish this drama and I couldn't find how to express my opinion about this drama.
First of all,the amazing acting of both main cast Lim Eun Sobe(Seo Kang joon) & Mok Hae Won(Park Min Young). What a beautiful chemistry between them♥️.

Everyone is saying that this drama is slow, but no it seems slow because we used to watch all those kdramas which are unrealistic and contain a lot of actions. But I would say that "it's a must watch" k-drama.

Now coming to the storyline, it's a story of two people who had a painful past, which turned their heart to a piece of ice. Eun sobe likes Hae won from childhood but never conveys his feelings to her. Hae won come to her hometown to escape from monotonous life where she met with eun sobe , a bookshop owner, after a long time and decided to do a part time job in the bookshop. Day by day they came closer and their cold heart became warm by the love.

When you watch this drama then you can feel these characters. In short this drama is about this realistic world where we all bear some pain in our heart and all we need is warm to melt the ice in our heart.

I just love the way of presentation and excellent cinematography. I love bookshop meetings where all members read a story and through those stories the narrator portrays the untold story of eun sobe and hae won's life. Trust me here you can relate those stories with your life.

After watching many "larger than life" k-dramas, this drama comforts me a lot and I have learnt a lesson that life is unpredictable, there are ups and downs in life but you should keep going until you find the happiness that melts the iceberg in your heart and makes you believe in the word "trust" again. As a broken heart heals another broken heart,as negative and negative become positive likewise you also find your happiness on a beautiful day when weather will be good…...

My country is tropical and I never experience winter but this drama totally give me the wrong impression that winter is warm lol. I've always loved stories that take references from books and movies, and this drama did it so well. The lines are poetic, yet in no way cringey. Eunseob's and Yoontaek's loves are the perfect definition of selfless love, and although the women seem selfish, but they love them in their own way. Many might be disappointed by the ending, but for me, it's perfect. For me, the definition of happy ending love doesn't have to be together. Even married couples often need to live apart for years and still a happy couple. It's okay to just meet once in a while. What's important is understanding, trust, and the thought of keeping each other precious. Even though they're not physically together, but their hearts are one. It won't be a happy ending if Haewon had to leave cello and teaching just to stay with Eunseob, and she knew he wouldn't want that either. Therefore, this truly is the best ending for them, and they're happy with that so it's good enough for me.

Warm, Cozy, Heartwrenching

This drama is really nice and wonderful. It brings out many emotions from the viewers and you may find yourself empathizing with the characters. The pacing is just right and is great for binge watching. Recommended watching while drinking tea or coffee for those chilly nights. Overall it's a really good drama and I highly recommend it. I found myself empathizing with Eunseop. The cinematography is nice and it sets the mood and the music really suits the drama. The side characters are also really lovely especially the book club members. The short blog posts at the end of the episodes are really cute.
