I wish I could unsee this season
A complete disappointment. I'll just go on and say that it's a total waste of time. I seriously waited nearly two years for this...? I feel so let down. The story didn't make sense and I seriously can't understand anyone who actually liked it. Jojo is probably the most idiotic character of the century. I honestly couldn't relate to her whatsoever. I also didn't like the flow of the story since it felt somewhat rushed. It was hard for me to ship her with HY because there was no proper pacing in the way their relationship was brought up. It felt like they were so desperately trying to push them down my throat. Honestly, what's wrong with the script? They seriously could have done better. The actors on the other hand were great! If they ever decide to make a third season, I can't guarantee that I'll watch it and I wouldn't be surprised if no one is enthusiastic about this idea. They sincerely should leave it at that and accept that this season was a disaster. I don't recommend this season and I sincerely wish I could unsee it.Was this review helpful to you?

terribly executed
terrible. 0/10. giving it a six in my rating list just because sun oh wouldn’t want me to rate him lower than that and i love him too much. anything else: hated it.the lights? what the fuck was up with that, director-nim.
the plotholes? smol boy comes wandering around after five years of minding his own business and instead of giving solutions he creates more problems. also where did he come from. where did he go. did he create the spear for the giggles, because that was the most useless tool i've ever seen.
the male main character? most boring, flat acting i've ever seen. at least you can actually tell apart emotions with sun oh.
kim flipping jojo? yeas dear go ahead and realize you've been a terrible main character and then proceed to do NOTHING to fix that. talk about character development there. poorly executed if you ask me.
this was a drama about choices; let me tell you, those were the most boring and terrible choices i've ever seen. breaking the boy's heart for nothing? bad choice. using the shild? bad choice. not contacting CDG to get your shield removed and instead using the dumb spear tool? terrible choice.
the reasons behind the whole thing were also ridiculous. "oh yeah you disappeared from his potentials when you kissed sun oh bc you were in lOvE with hye young." what shitty explanation is that. at least make it believable.
all in all i'm going to pretend like this whole show did not happen. wasted two years of my life waiting for it only to find out i hate it, after all.

Completely pointless season
I have hundreds of complaints about this season but I don't have the energy to go into detail about everything so I just want to say it was so pointless to make this season if all the 4 leads would end up with their original relationships. Jojo and Hyeyeong had no romantic chemistry whatsoever, she always looked guilty around him and like she was with him just because he liked her and she didn't want to be lonely, other than actually loving him. It made no sense that she didn't stop Sunoh from kissing her if apparently she rang HY's alarm multiple times before that. The whole shield and spear was so stupid, annoyingly pointless and made no sense at all. The closure they gave Sunoh was so dumb too but at least he ended up with someone who actually loves him dearly and made him smile and try to become a better person. But still, he smiled only like 3 or 4 times through the whole show... Everything was so ridiculous, this season was literally unnecessary. The only storyline that actually mattered and was more interesting than whatever went on with the leads was Gulmi, I'm only not giving it 1 star because of her, but even her character can only make it go up as 2 stars. Was this review helpful to you?

Sorry but it was the ending for me
This season really didn't make any sense to me. It felt like it was a totally different storyline, the things Jojo did and said, like girl that wasn't what you showed in the first season. For the fans that have been waiting two years for this to came out it really was a slap in the face. But the rest of the storyline was really good, some roles where more explored in a fun way. Basically in my opinion this was a nice try to end it good, but it's not it. Also if you liked the OST in the first season, you will be disappointed with this oneWas this review helpful to you?
It is not what you were waiting for.
Um well, I don’t have many good things to say about this show, I wasn’t really mad about who Jojo picked, I was more pissed about how they showed it. I was going into season 2 expecting a lot obviously because season 1 was great. But then when the trailer came out it felt different. I don’t know the vibe and how the characters were portrayed also the plot none of it felt proper. It was 6 episodes I don’t think that was enough for this show or even the plot. I hate how Jojo never had to explain one thing to anyone, she would just walk around and hurt both of them. In the end, Hye-Yeong getting her was obvious but why did she pick him. The plot, in general, was missing something and in the end, Sun-oh’s character was completely told off basically he had no part in it in the end. There was no development to him or to any of them in general. In the end, Jojo played them both and sometimes it felt that she was just going with Hye-Yeong because she felt bad. I wished the writers would have put a little bit more effort into why, WHY SHE WAS DOING EVERYTHING. AND THEN SUN-OH they tried to give him this PITY HAPPY ENDING, but in the end, his feelings weren’t resolved. I feel like I wasted 2 years waiting for this show and I only got Jojo explaining nothing to Sun-oh. AND THEN THE PLOT WITH THE MURDERER HUH WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT, IT WAS 6 EPISODES AND SOME OF IR JUST FELT USELESS. I am going, to be honest, and say that I just watched this for Sun-oh and every time this poor boy was hurt. I fucking cried with him, this show did nothing for him. I don’t recommend it if you are expecting it to be like season 1. I will give credit to the scene of this show the OST wasn’t the best but the scenes and camera angles made up for it yk.Was this review helpful to you?

SERIOUSLY???
I have been waiting for Season 2 and all I get was that??Honestly, I didn't really felt like finishing Season 1. At first, I was like, what in the world is this? The plot is a little bit cliche but the content of the story isn't. It took me about 5 attempts to finally move on from Episode 2 of Season 1 but as the story progressed, I became invested in the episode. I sincerely loved it! The ending left me hanging and so as disappointed as I was for not being able to move on to the next episode, because -- really, I learned to love Jojo and Sun-Oh, and Hye-Yong. I loved where the plot was heading and towards the end of Episode 8 I was reallllly invested and could not wait for Sun-Oh to get back with JOJO but what the heck??
Season 2 was sooo dry and the storyline was so bland. If the director, writer, or whoever f*up the story, wanted it to be different they could have just made at least a tiny bit of justice to Sun-Oh and Jojo's romance!!
I think I can understand what the writer is trying to say about the story.
The shield, the complete switch of love interests but the heck to this!!
I'm outraged. 😡😡😡
We hopped to kdrama's because we want to separate ourselves from the reality and feel all giddy and just forget about how unfair life can be most of the time.
No matter how cliche things are, my heart will never get enough of scenes like Season 1. Forget Season 2!! I will never watch it again!

DISSAPOINTMENT
Hiii, I have never really written reviews but after watching Love Alarm S2 I really feel the need to.For the acting the potrayal of emotions were top-notch, but the storyline really made me feel uneasy.
It is not about the fact that she ended up with Hye-yeong, but the fact that she DID NOT EVEN HAVE GENUINE FEELINGS FOR HIM FOR ALMOST THE WHOLE SHOW.
When I watched S1, tbh I was still not very happy with Jojo's character, but I still did connect with her at some point, but S2 was just not it, it was almost like playing with two guys. If she loved Sun-Oh she should have been with him or not anyone else, staying with Hye-Yeong just made it worse.
It was very cowardly of her to run away from the one she loves not once but TWICE.
They really need to do Sun-Oh some REAL justice as he was a genuine guy who knew who wanted and loved Jojo without any conditions and not toxic or rude.
We all knew that the one he really loved was Jojo, they might have showed that he ended up with his ex, but its not that easy to suddenly get over someone you really love.
But the show did show each of their happy endings, but its just me who is not satisfied with it.
No hate towards the cast, they did a terrific job!!

Honestly would have gotten a 0 if it weren't for this.
I am not surprised at how this turned out. I actually marked it in my "Not Interested" list because I didn't enjoy the first season at all but then got pressured to watch it anyways.Firstly, the story was very questionable. It feels the screenwriters decided to pave the way for a new story without more character development. I get that season 1 had most of the character development, but if you want to re-use the character development from season 1, you have to stay consistent with your plot in season 2. At this point, it just felt like they were trying to appease the general public with the way they set season 2 because we all know who Jojo really liked. If you didn't watch season 1, you would know that the public was rooting for HyeYoung (me included). However the thing that comes with second leads is that they are sometimes better off without winning the girl's heart (e.g. My First First Love 1 and 2 being the exact epitome of this series). If they stuck with Sun-Oh, then this drama might have had more popularity. Now, public opinion is basically this: "You can't just change the first season's male lead into the second lead in the second season." Also, one thing thing that was probably the film maker's worst fail was spacing season 1 and season 2 too far apart. It may be just because of COVID delays, but by the time I watched season 2 (which I binged on March 14 2021) I already forgot all of the character's names and who they were except Guk Do and Gul Mi.
As for the cast and characters, it wasn't half-bad. Let's just say I was very confused at Kim So Hyun's acting. I couldn't get the emotions she was trying to convey. It might be because I had the first season imprinted into my brain, though. Song Kang's acting was actually quite good this time. I could feel the emotion behind his character, though I still think SunOh the character was too crazy and abusive with the Jojo situation. As for the whole "Brian Chun" situation, I just felt like that was uncessecaryy. **As what my title probably click-baited you to read, the only thing that saved this was Sun-Oh and Yuk Joo's relationship. I fell WAY too hard for Yuk-joo. She was just such a pure and innocent soul. She's the only character that made my heart act up.
Overall, I would NOT RECCOMEND.

In need of Season 3
I can't help but write a review for this.Waited for almost a year and this is the ending I received?
Firstly, I expected that Season 1's ending will link to Season 2's starting, from the presentation part. Unfortunately, no one knows what happened after that scene. Season 2 jumped straight to Jojo and Hyeyoung being together? I am so confused.... I was really still hoping that there will be a chance for Sunoh and Jojo to get back together :(
I feel that Jojo is really selfish in her decisions. Getting together with Hyeyoung (Sunoh's used to be best friend) when Sunoh was still upset over the fact that Jojo did not ring his alarm in Season 1. The fact that she used a shield to hide her feelings. If the shield did not exist, they will probably still be in love. Sunoh still rings her alarm... and if Hyeyoung did not persist to chase after her, Jojo will probably still ring Sunoh's alarm. Sun oh really loves Jojo though...... :( Did Jojo choose Hyeyoung because Yuk-Jo was with Sun oh?
Yuk-Jo...she is just too in love with Sun oh that she doesn't even care whether if Sunoh likes him back. and the drama ended with Sun oh wanting Yuk-Jo back? I think Sunoh is just too comfortable with Yukjo...poor girl, she should find someone better.
Hyeyoung should find someone better too...
Overall, I am so disappointed with this ending. I will still prefer Season 1 over 2 of course.... Can we have a Season 3 where Jojo broke up with Hyeyoung because she finally knows her real feelings (using Duk gu's in-progress application of the lie detector) towards Sun oh? :) Since Jojo installed the Shield to hide her real feelings towards Sun oh and she installed another to ring Hyeyoung's alarm on her own assumed feelings towards him. So probably Season 3 with an ending of Jojo and Sunoh, finally being able to get together? :DDDD or else, I am just gonna imagine it myself...

wtf jojo?
y'all this girl JoJo is the most selfish person on god. Sun Oh is another story for another day, but at least I can understand some things from his point of view. But Jojo? She makes so many choices that has left me confused and at times, violent.I'm sure those who are watching S2 has already seen S1, so imagine this: You're finally in a relationship with the girl that you love. Things are going great, you both feel the same way. Then one day out of nowhere, she suddenly breaks up with you. No explanation whatsoever. Her feelings suddenly changes. Well that's Sun Oh's story.
All he deserved was a goddamn explanation that JoJo couldn't even provide. And even down to the very last moment, she was still selfish to the core and even used a spear to ring Hyeyoung's love alarm...wtf? Haven't you already went this route and learn that this is not the way to go? And she also didn't even have any plans to correct her ways until someone actually got in her face and told her she's being selfish. Sun Oh had to find out about the shield himself and Hyeyoung had to overhear it himself about the spear. Only until then did she take any actions.
And she only really did anything because she know she's about to lose Hyeyoung, and her last conversation with Sun Oh still left me feeling ill cause it's obvious she didn't give a single fuck about Sun Oh and only said what she said so she can go on her way and make up with Hyeyoung. After her "bye" she just yeeted. Like imagine waiting 4 years for that. And I also don't get it why she didn't just simply explain the shield situation to Hyeyoung. He would've understood her. This girl seems to have a knack for making shit 10x more complicated than it should be.
What I found amusing was her initial reaction to finding out Dukgu is dead. Instead of actually sympathizing, the first thing that pops up in her head is "I'm never going to be able to remove the shield." Like hello?!!! People are dying, Jojo!
Let's also not forget that she kissed Sun Oh when she was in a relationship and then kissed him again when she was in a different relationship. We love cheaters. So all in all, idk what Hyeyoung and Sun Oh ever saw in her.

Disappointed in the story
I normally do not write reviews for any dramas. But i was very disappointed with the second season. Jojo never took sunho feelings into consideration at all not one bit made no sense as to why she couldn't like him again when she told him that she would never love anyone as much as she loved him. I dunno how the second lead deserved her more didn't make any sense. Like they didn't really explain as to why she had to put the shield to begin with just cause she didn't want to get hurt but how did sunho hurt her in any way.Either way I wouldn't rewatch this drama. Very dissatisfied

Regret of watching S2
Seriously, it's a rare when I was writing is review... I haven't watch the trailer and just watched the whole of season 2. I thought Jojo would ended up with Sun Oh because the chemistry was no joke, better than when she was with hye yeoung... JJ and SO looked natural together but when with HY, felt like being forced, it lack of chemistry. The story should not ended up like this. Duk Gu character development is somehow quite lack of something but Gul Mi is worthy to watch in this season but she can be develop more actually..For those who are fan of Jojo and Sun Oh, better drop this season and just imagine the best ending of your own with Jojo and Sun Oh happily find their love back.
