I can't believe that I really watched this awful drama, no offense to anybody who worked for it but it didn't do any justice to the first season. Throughout the first season we got to see how much Jojo and Sun Oh love each other even if years have passed but in the second season the writers decided that no she didn't love him but she loved the Hye Young who had no self respect in the name of love. I felt that she pittied him the whole time and he didn't really loved her. They told us that she didn't really love Sun Oh when every time they were together you could see little hearts flying around them. Even if the love part, which is literally on the title but anyways, wasn't good they could reward us with doing a better job on the crime part but no we got a disappointment from there too.
The cast was good but it seemed that even they didn't feel the script. Everything else wasn't even average, but that may be slightly off because I am pissed with the script.
So that's not going on my rewatch list sorry.

Not what i expected

'Love alarm' season 2 was not what I expected. It was not as good as the first season. I personally liked season 1 better in terms of the story. I actually have mixed feelings abou this drama. I would personally not watch this drama again. As someone else commented, it felt forced. Jojo didn't even conider Sunoh's feelings which is very sad and disappointing.

“I stole Sunoh’s smile away from him.. just so I wouldn't feel any pain.” -Jojo

I actually cried almost every episode, but it was probably because I was very emotional lol.

I really wanted Sun Ho and Jojo and upp together, but they didn't. I cried when she told Sunho that she liked his bestfriend. I mean, I waited for almost two years for nothing, literally. I feel really bad for Sunoh and I kind of knew that she would end up with Hye Young, but I still had my hopes. In webtoon, Jojo ended up with Hye Young, but I thought the drama would be different like what they did with "True beauty". Even though everyone got a happy ending, me as a team Sunho wished that they would end up together.

The positive thing was the cast. Both actors and actresses did a very good job, even though it's not their fault for how it ended.

But at least, Jojo and Hye Young got a happy ending...

No. Just no.

I do not usually write reviews but I must for this one. After watching Love alarm 2 years ago, love alarm 2 had always been my MOST awaited drama but I can’t believe the fact that now that I finally watched it, it was so trashy. (MY OPINION)
Characters:
Jojo: Omg I absolutely hated the fact that she was SO insensitive and inconsiderate towards Sun Oh’s feelings and what pissed me more was the fact that this ma'am just won’t give Sun Oh answers that he CLEARLY DESERVED. And the worst- she blamed HIM for the shield SHE installed, HERSELF.
Sun Oh: One of my favourite characters was Sun Oh’s character. He had crazy stage presence and when he cried, I cried too. Song Kang did an excellent job portraying Sun Oh. One thing I disliked about him was that even tho he knew himself that he was not over jojo, he kept leading on his girlfriend and gave her false hope.
Hyeyeong: I personally don’t hate him but nor do I like him. He was so inconsiderate towards Sun Oh. When sun oh expressed his feelings to his bestfriend, this man decides to just leave. Every time Sun Oh tried to initiate an actual conversation with him, he just decided to leave. But of course, JGR did a good job acting as HY.
Sun Oh’s “girlfriend”: I didn’t really notice her character. She didn’t have as much presence so she was unnoticeable to me.


Conclusion: I hated the plot. I hated the storyline. I hated everything about this season. I hated how they gave hope to sun oh and jojo’s relationship in season 1 and just ended it in season 2. And the worst part is that they did give hope to their relationship in season 2 but ended it again. Keeping in mind sun oh’s feelings, it was pretty shitty. But then I do love the cast including KSH, SK and JGR!

Annyeong (Goodbye) Sun-Oh

If you are a fan of sun oh and jojo don't watch since you will be heartbroken.
First season is so bad that it's incomplete., no closure to all the mystery , trauma and everything. everybody is waiting for the 2nd season and when i watch it. lol! it's just a waste of time. Jojo not being true to her feelings as if she just push herself to Hye-Young. no healing to all the trauma experiences of the character except for Cheon Duk Goo.
after watching it, instead of feeling good, i feel PAIN. lol! WORST story so far. in fairness with the actor and actress they did good.

Just wasted 6 hours of my life for nothing

I do not reccomend this drama at all, and can’t believe i waited 2 years just to get this and even no Sunoh endgame, don’t get me wrong i was really excited at first but after literally watching just the first episode I hated it and had to literally force myself to watch the rest of the season and it actually felt like an punishment. The actors were ofc talented as always, but the story and how the drama ended were absolute trash, sorry not sorry. Such a waste of potential this could’ve been a really good drama with potential but they just threw all the potential out of the window??

So for me this became best to worst k drama I ever seen.... it's not cz of second lead...I don't feel any connection in between jojo n hyong..if he was the main lead why the hell they didn't give any storyline in season 1...why they played with fans emotions. They just waste money making this, sunho deserved way better than the “happy ending” they gave him, jojo was a mess as always, she even couldn’t explain herself to Sunho or the other guy, IT HAD TO BE DOKGU the guy that made love alarm app, who told hyeyong, the truth about Jojo and her app,, like wtf?

I waste my time watching this tbh.

It also has very scenes that, to me couldn’t even appear on the drama and it would’ve been the same! The directors had the opportunity to make something really big, the drama of 2021 and they fucke’d up everything.

Waiting for almost 2 years it was another waste of my time.

Still no answer to the shield

looks was not the problem in this show i could careless.... but explain to me in reality who dumps someone with no explanation in the real world and especially someone who fell in love even if he didn't come to you as a gentleman love is love you can't just stop loving someone yet alone without no explanation... they just rushed the ending to give us some what of an expiation about the APP but they forgot to tell us why she put the shield on and brushed it off by showing us that she did not use the app when she was in her new relationship with hye young and the spear was her trying so hard to show that she loves him but still that was her new relationship and her old one with Sun Oh has no answer even after season 2

I don't like season 2

It shocked me how kim jojo end up with haeyoung instead of sun oh. She loves him, from ep 1, i really see that she just trying to reply his kindness towards her out of pity since she didn't love him yet. So, i think we deserved ending with sun oh. He wait 4 years until knowing abt the shield and breakup lol. If it was me, its going to break my heart too since i didnt know the trut. You should give sun oh time to mend things and show jojo feeling more. People keep saying that how life turns out. Your first love will not who you will end up with. But, this is a drama. We find company in dramas since it didn turn out really well in our life or didn happen at all. Well everyone has their own opinions. But im gonna say season 2 is sucks. Thank you. Have a nice day.

"I was waiting for almost 1½years just to break my own heart, why do I feel that Sun-Oh was never a part of this season. How could they just do that to him, And JoJo just rejected him for no reason and leading a happy life with Hye-young. Wow! Is this a story portraying about how to break someone's heart and be happy. They really played with our emotion or atleast my emotion. They never really knew what this drama meant for me. From the best drama of my life, it has changed to the worst drama I has ever watched. Say that I love you to the person you love.

Just started the new one. It’s got a whole different vibe to the first one with even better graphics but hate the dubbed American English accents. I’m watching on Netflix. I prefer the Korean with subtitles. Can’t get my head around the changes yet. Jojo is still so beautiful. The visuals still outstanding, beautiful spring blossoms this time trees just filled with gorgeous blooms and bending branches. Dramatic contrast of the two seasons. Love Alarms computer graphics , magnificent and appropriate for the drama.

There is a lot of symbolism in this drama. We all go through a dark tunnel to come into the light.

That Hwang Sun Oh is just so selfish and arrogant. I forgot about persist and annoying. Please Jojo don’t fall for him, but what’s the odds. Don’t we always fall for the bad boy. Oh! I’m going to.

Just think if we really did rely on a “Love Alarm” in our lives and never actually express how we literally feel.

Lee Hye Young is her rock of true love and friendship. Why can’t she love him. So sad! Why do we make those same mistakes.

Then there are her predictions on her blog “The Ringing World.” Whatever she writes in it seems to come true. How is this happening. I’ve forgotten who knows she is the author.

Stephen McCarty from the South China Morning Post opined that "Love Alarm is not only an innocent love story but also deals with data protection, gay rights, the extreme consequences of heartache, and smartphone invasion.

It is a very clever statement of the world today.
