Totally different from season 1

The season doesn’t begin where season 1 left off...it was super confusing. I’m not going to name names, so I don’t spoil anything.

Somehow, they end up dating but it never mentions how they got together. The lighthearted exciting romance was gone from this season and I really couldn’t get into it. All the characters in this season had totally different personalities than season 1. I get that they’re older and more mature but it felt like the story just took a huge turn and a lot of it didn’t make sense.

Watched this just bc I waited so long

I don't like dropping dramas, so that's why I watched this. I read MANY bad reviews and I'm adding this one to the list. The drama was well-performed, the cast was amazing, but damn the story was bland. I don't want to spoil it all, but you probably have better dramas in your to-watch list :'))

Also so many random things? Things left unexplained, evens out of the blue, as if they really did their best to fill 6 episodes? This all could've been conduced in a short 5 minutes episode tbh.

Season 1 was way better, season 2 more mature but not what I expected...

disappointment

I'm going to be very honest so if you really like this season then you might get offended. The whole season felt really forced. It's basically about making Sunoh the villian even though he was hurt the most by being left crying on the streets atleast 2 times by our lovely jojo. In season one I liked jojo because she was actually smart and even though she put that shield on I still somehow understood but during this season I just hated her more and more. Like I get that she went through a horrible trauma but that isn't an excuse to every mistake she's done. I personally don't see a chemistry between jojo and Hyeyeong it just feels forced. As expected Hyeyeong got hurt a lot too. She was bacially hurting them both at the same time and the drama was trying to make Sunoh the reason for her problems. The one character I liked the most was Gulmi. She has a great character and during the season I was always so excited to see her on screen away from the love triangle. Back to Sunoh..they did him dirty not only by the story line but also by the screen time. He was just sad or crying every time he was on the screen. Oh and his happy ending was not it. But I really did like the acting even though it didn't make sense. The OST is really nice too but other then that the whole season was just weird.

If you want the Jojo and Sunoh happy ending or you can't handle a heart break atleast 2 times in a row then don't bother watching it.

WHAT THE F*$K WAS THAT SUPPOSED TO BE, I CAN'T BELIEVE I WAITED TWO YEARS FOR THIS!

"If you can't be with the one you love, be with the one that is nice to you." That is basically what S2 of Love Alarm was about. I have no idea what everyone else is talking about, but Jojo should not have been in a romantic relationship of any kind until she unpacked the trauma she endured from her parents suicide and from the mistreatment of her aunt and cousin. The drama didn't even pick up where it left off for one, for two Jojo broke up with Sunho because she felt she was cursed, so why did she enter a relationship with Hye-Yeong?

Also, this whole "Jojo liked Hye-Yeong all along", is complete nonsense because she didn't even know he existed until she started dating Sunho nor that he had feelings for her until the very end of S1. Also this whole, "Hye-Yeong has loved and been there for Jojo all along", UM NO HE LITERALLY WASN'T SUNHO WAS, HYE-YEONG WAS A COWARD WHO DIDN'T EXPRESS HIS FEELINGS AND THEN WHEN HE DID, IT WAS AT THE EXPENSE OF HIS BESTFRIEND, IT WAS UNDERHANDED AND DIRTY! He knew how much Sunho loved Jojo, Sunho asked him repeatedly if he had feelings for her, and Hyeong DENIED IT EACH AND EVERY TIME! He's the worst kind of friend! AND IT IS FITTING BECAUSE HYE- YEONG LOOKS LIKE THE WEASEL THAT HE IS!

But I digress, moving on... Three, Duk-Ju and his partnership with the CEO/ Face of the company was not properly explained nor did it make sense why Love Alarm would not comply with the police in order to catch a literal serial killer.

Four, speaking of serial killers, the homicide/ group suicides were not discussed enough, actually it was barely discussed at all. Neither was Jojo's parents suicide/ homicide attempt. Five, the chemistry between Jojo and Hye-Yeong is still giving brother/ sister/ bestie vibes, not lover vibes, those "I love yous" sounded more like "I care for you", which is sweet but it's very different. And if she's over Sunho then why is she still so emotional over him every time she sees him? If it's really her choice not to love him then why still rely on the APP still? Both Jojo and Hye-Yeong relied on the APP to tell them their feelings just as much as Sunho did, yet Sunho is the only one that was honest about it.

Six, Duk-Ju and Jojo's heinous cousin, that story line also made no sense and neither did the sudden dynamic flip between Jojo's aunt and cousin. Seven, I don't understand why Jojo still lived with them when it's clear, she could have afforded her own space and how she claimed that she wouldn't run anymore yet, she was still running away from her problems and chose the safe choice which is Hye-Yeong, who she again, should not have been with in the first place (romantically), if she felt she was so undeserving and cursed.

So it's ok to potentially kill or ruin Hye-Yeong's life but not Sunho? Doesn't that kind of drill in the fact of who she actually loves and wants to be with but is just to cowardly to be with? I think it does. Eight and final point. S2 was a complete, nonsensical waste of time. Truthfully, all Jojo did was settle which made Sunho settle and to me that is far worse, dragging two innocent people into toxicity because you're too cowardly to fight for the life you want with the one you truly love.

Love Alarm S2 was a complete joke. I sincerely hope this is some type of dumb alternative ending or a dream sequence and that it gets renewed for a S3. Even if she does end up again with Hye-Yeong in the end, make it make sense. Make it be endearing and not like Hye-Yeong is some afterthought, second choice, safe choice, stand in and the same goes for Sunho's rebound. Because both deserve better than that. This season was heinous, I heard the webtoon ended the same, which for some reason upsets me even more. - Dassit.

Fat load of shit dumped on Fans feeling

Keeping the story aside, Let's talk about their marketing method! From the starting of season 1 they used up sunho and jojo in almost every promotional video, trailer and teasers! hye young didn't get much screen time in any one them! but suddenly in season 2 they shifted focus towards hye young! like what the hell! were the makers duping fans or what! Love Alarm was the most popular web drama internationally and it was a Scam! it was only famous cause of the chemistry between Sunho and Jojo! and what? jojo ends up with hye young with no explanation of why he deserves her more! what about sunho? he kind of got played but who cares! according to writers he got a *HAPPY ENDING*.You call this shit a happy ending? Had they been neutral between both lead actors from the start, this kind of ending wouldn't have been that bad and viewers wouldn't have reacted so harshly! but all they did was just change the lead out of no where. they should stop saying that "it's based on webtoon" and change it to "straight away copy-pasted from a webtoon" . Utterly Disappointed with this drama! had been waiting for it since a year. Worst K-Drama Ever! Dont bother to watch it people as you will get confused more than jojo gets confused about who she loves!

I found no continuity in history, I feel like I was watching different dramas

I wait 2 years for this and I really feel that I waste my time, I feel I watched two different dramas.

I was team Sun Oh but watching the drama from a more objective and mature point, I still being unsatisfied.

I think they left a lot of things unfinished like what happened in the update event?
I would have liked to see that Jugko thought when she saw Sun Oh makes sound Jojo's alarm and also I would like to see how Jojo and Hye Yeong start dating.
I don't understand why Dukgu faked his death and it was also unclear to me who was leading the Antilove Alarm movement or what happened to it...

Honestly I feel disappointed, I don't like it and I also think it was really boring.

In the whole drama I saw Jojo running and hiding, she never explain to Sun Oh why she broke up with him and she also can't be honest with Hye Yeong, first the shield and then the spear, both ways to hide and lie.
I felt that the relationship between Jojo and Hye Yeong was forced, I suppose by the fact that I didn't know how it was that she decided to start a relationship with he.

For Sun Oh and Yukjo they both had a very unfair ending, Yukjo deserved someone who really loved her and not someone who only stayed with her because the person he really loves didn't choose him.
Why he would love her overnight if even in four years he didn't do it?

I would have liked to see that Sun Oh will really outperform Jojo, that he will manage to heal his wounds, perhaps fix his problems at home, really fall in love, etc.
For this season his appearances were minimal and in all I saw him suffering.

I only would like to see Jojo being honest and brave, I don't know why people say that she grows in this season because I think she still being very inmature.

I know that the ending is attached to the webtoon but if it were to, I would have preferred that from the beginning they would do it that way. in the first season Sun Oh has so much prominence that even there are those who did not even know Hye Yeong's name and only placed him as "Sun Oh's friend" not really like a main character.

I have nothing against Hye Yeong but I honestly had very high expectations and I expected much more from this season, I also feel that Hye Yeong deserves more.

Not so happy ending

I am so sad, waited two years for this show. Just for love alarm to end, just like that. Sun-oh deserved so much better! I will definitely not be recommending this show for anyone to watch! All my Sun-oh and JoJo fans, don’t watch, unless you are wanting to get your heartbroken and are just wanting to waste your time! 10/10 do not recommend to watch! The first season of love alarm was so much better! To say I am disappointed is an understatement. Like why get out hopes up, for you to just break out hearts like that!

Very disappointed of this outcome.

Love Alarm was a kdrama that I just loved. I remember exactly watching this 1 year ago and falling in love. I rewatched it over and over every single day, counting down each day for a season 2, I remember being so sad when it got delayed, and then the new season is just down right a disappointment. First off, like many viewers, I was a Suh-oh shipper. I wanted them to be together so badly, but Jojo was dumb and broke up with him. Because of that, her feelings changed and she liked Hye-yeong. Throughout the whole season, I was honestly just dumbfounded because of this Kdrama. Sun-oh feelings were completely ignored. He still liked Jojo so much that he would never stop ringing her alarm, but Jojo just left him and decided to fall for another man without even EXPLAINING why she couldn't ring her alarm. Like honestly, you don't need to wait for the developer to take the shield off, just explain the situation to him it's not that hard. I feel so bad for Suh-oh I feel like he didn't get a happy ending compared to the others. I understand he's trying to sort things out with Yuk-jo, but it's just so sad how he kept crying over and over because of Jojo and then she goes and chooses another man. I actually cried along with Sun-oh in the last season when he cried saying, "She still loves me...". My heart honestly dropped with she rung Hye-yeong's alarm. I now regret waiting one whole year for this show. No, I'm not writing this review because Jojo and Sun-oh didn't end up together, but it's about how Jojo and the show completely neglected Sun-oh's feelings. They could've like let Sun-oh be happy with Jojo for a bit, but all Jojo did was run away and get with Hye-yeong. I agreed with Sun-oh when he yelled at her after hearing that she installed a shield on her alarm. She should've given him a heads up but she didn't care about him at all and she even installed it so she WOULDN'T HURT Sun-oh but he ended up being depressed over her for YEARS and cried over her. It's just dumb how she was trying to not hurt him by installing it and ended up hurting him even more by installing it. And what? Hye-yeong just swoops by and then she forgets all about Sun-oh and starts dating Hye-yeong? Like atleast give everyone a happy and fair ending. This is just such a dumb show, honestly. I feel like Gul-mi who got any my nerves all the times is better than Jojo now. Jojo just makes me so annoyed. They didn't even leave off on the cliffhanger that they left off last season, it just skips to a completely different time. I'm devastated about this show, I have never written a review in my life, but this show has finally made me write a review. What made up for it is the sound track. I liked Season's 1 soundtrack a lot better, but they kept some of the songs so that's why I liked the sound track. I don't recommend this show unless you want your heart to break and end up disappointed.

I waited two years for this show and I am utterly disappointed ,the only reason I watched to the end was to see if duk gu was alive. Hye yeong deserved so much better and so did sun oh, jojo was so stupid and needed to get some common sense. The first season was much better and had a good story line but season 2 just let down the whole series. I believe that the show would be much better if jojo was more confident in herself and that she brought everything on herself. Like why install the shield just to regret it a minute later.

Thoughtless

This is by far the worst Korean drama I've ever watched. What were they doing like i mean i was struggling to complete an episode. I was so appalled by that JJ character s1 was okay but s2 gosh i wish i had not watched. Ive wasted my precious time to watch this worst drama .They were throwing stuffs here and there Kim JoJo is by far the worst and hye yeong being so pathetic. Sun oh was just shedding tears always for a girl that left him for no apparent reason and was okay with ''bye'' and decides to try and move on. Wft everything was rushed and ending was also rushed jezzzzzzz i think I'll get sleepless nights for watching this nightmare of a drama.......

I'll not recommend for any Korean drama lover

It was just frustrating

This was an utter disappointed from beginning to end. We have waited for two years to receive a second season and this is what they came up with?

The story could have gone into such a nice direction since I believe the idea of "love alarm" was original and had potential. However, they did not make use of it enough, in my opinion. They could have driven the story further by removing the shield from KJJ and her having to face her feelings. The main plot they had was, like in every drama, no communication. If everybody would have just talked to each other, all issues would have been resolved. Even in the end it was disappointing that she never explained HSO why she installed the shield and why she broke up with him. We only get an "I'm sorry" and that is it. We get no closure because a lot of things are left unsaid. Not to forget that the story takes place over a couple of years and not a single character has changed. They all remain the same and stick to not talking it out with each other. That was very frustrating.

As already mentioned, I fairly enjoyed the first season and that is why I was excited to see the second one. Already at the beginning I was confused since we never really get to see the outcome of the ending of the first season. Additionally, I do not know why they focused on KJJ and HSO so much in the first season, only to let her be with LHY in the end. Personally, I did not really feel the chemistry between KJJ and LHY at all. The scenes of them together in the second season did not feel genuine and I only waited for things to go wrong. I would have wanted more interaction between KJJ and HSO but HSO was basically irrelevant in the second season. The only thing that he did was harass KJJ, scream at her and stalk her. (I still do not know why people romanticise these things...)

Other storylines were completely useless since it did not do anything for the plot. The story of HSO's family did not really change HSO or his actions. Further, the story of PGM and CDG was disappointing. All in all, I did not enjoy the side stories.

In conclusion, I think the second season had a great base with the first 8 episodes but they did not realise its full potential. It is a long, slow-pace story which only frustrates you. I do not know if they had issues with filming because of the pandemic or something else but the second season seemed rushed and not thought-through.

Lastly, some scenes were filmed in a weird way. I do not know why some scenes were filmed in that particular way. For example, when HSO talks to YJ after he drives her home we never see their faces. It was supposed to be an emotional scene but it was only filmed from afar. (?) Also sometimes half the screen was covered with furniture or a wall but then did not have a nice transition to the next scene. (?) I think one time they tried to immitate a famous scene when they used a mirror to film LHY but I believe that was the only thing they focused on regarding filming.

In my opinion, just watch the first season and leave this one out. It is better to have an open ending in season 1 than going through the painful process of watching season 2 and being frustrated in the end.

We got fooled people

I can't believe that I really watched this awful drama, no offense to anybody who worked for it but it didn't do any justice to the first season. Throughout the first season we got to see how much Jojo and Sun Oh love each other even if years have passed but in the second season the writers decided that no she didn't love him but she loved the Hye Young who had no self respect in the name of love. I felt that she pittied him the whole time and he didn't really loved her. They told us that she didn't really love Sun Oh when every time they were together you could see little hearts flying around them. Even if the love part, which is literally on the title but anyways, wasn't good they could reward us with doing a better job on the crime part but no we got a disappointment from there too.
The cast was good but it seemed that even they didn't feel the script. Everything else wasn't even average, but that may be slightly off because I am pissed with the script.
So that's not going on my rewatch list sorry.
