STORY:

Well for someone who watches endless of dramas, you'll never avoid similar plots from movies or series but what I like about this is that, it seemed nostalgic although, I must admit that it's to light and doesn't have that much depth and character development but I still appreciate how the plot flows on its own. What I feel about characterizing these individuals in the business tycoon world might even be possible for we already have our own assumptions with peoples status and how their life works. And maybe as of the recent releases, this is one of the little details that make up a different storyline among the rest of the releases this year, maybe for me it seemed a little different and it catches my attention, and not to forget, I know it leaves you butterflies in your stomach every ep's ending. I won't question the sexual tension anymore since it's too obvious even though the story runs fast, I still keep up with it.

Acting/Cast:

So far seeing these new faces, they portrayed the characters so well, just enough to make us all blush and fall in love with them. There's no exaggeration or something, coz everything seems light acting but some scene that shows aggression moved me and even some soft spots of the characters. Not to mention, as it seemed epic in one drama to be integrated with Korean, Taiwanese, and Mandarin at the same time.

Music:

It's and ideal OST, typical for dramas but what only distracts me are some thrill background music that's making the scene pace look over pressure? like when someone is mad, it's a bit exaggerated since the mood is not that heavy. But other than that, I loved hearing the background music and the OST's in different languages.

Re-watch Value:

I'm always the type of person when I've watch a certain movie or series that I love, I would definitely watch it again. In this review section for me would be biased, as long as I loved it I would definitely watch all over again. The thing is when I'm already attached to it, it never gets old and it grows on me, besides we have our own taste.

It would still be A GOD-Tier Drama for me, I know some would disagree, but the fact that I know you liked it and degrading it for a bunch of negative reviews, just go on and blabber. And for anyone who supports this, thank you.

Just great! Awesome BL!

Just great! Awesome BL! There is so much to like about this series. Everyone is like able in there own special way. I love when BL guys are presented as guys who know how to fight and stand up for themselves. I especially like when they fight and win against the bad guys. Lee and Hsu are just so likeable and genuine in their roles. Chungs character is so sweet when he starts to have feelings for LinXun more and more in each scene. Just a wonderful story that he gives in the the love because he doesn't want toe make the same mistake as the parents As I said before the other brothers and their relationship all form in different ways. Bravo! This is the second time I've watched it and decided to up my score. A true BL that is not like a BL but enjoyable in everyway.

When I decided to watch this show I went in it blind, none of my friends had watched it and I had read no reviews or anything like that and so my expectations weren't that high either and despite that this show didn't seem to meet my expectations. The cast were good but I felt like the storyline wasn't able to portray their acting really well.

It was also too fast paced and there was no room for character or story development, it's like one moment they dislike each other and the next he's in love? Maybe it was just me, but it was too unrealistic and halfway through I was asking myself why I was even watching it. I do think there was a lot of potential for the story but the show itself was too short and fast paced that it wasn't enjoyable because for a lot of the episodes you're left wondering 'wait how did this character change so fast?' and 'did I miss an episode?'.

I really do think that if the actors were given a better storyline their acting would have been better and it would have been more enjoyable for us.

A Sweet but Short Series

A lot of the reviews I read for this series were very negative. There points are valid if you are a critic. I obviously am not. I watch shows for entertainment only. I cannot and will not pick any show apart. My checklist is simple: Did i enjoy the show for what it was? Did it make me feel anything? This series definately did that. It was a sweet story. Would more episodes or longer episodes flesh it out more? Of course but it didnt take anything away from it for me. I have an imigination so any "holes" were easily filled as enough information was given. I have watched this series 4 times so far and never leave disappointed.

Interesting general plot but too short

Rating - 7.25

This is an interesting short drama. The general plot is not bad. 3 brothers from different mothers are tasked by their father to locate a potential 4th brother. Each brother is also paired with a love interest. This drama would be better if it's not so short and allows us to dive into more of the brothers; individual family background and stories. However, because it's so short, everything seems somewhat half-finished and rushed.

The acting isn't that great. Just OK. Aside from Korean actor Lee Shi Kang (eldest brother), the rest of the cast is quite new to the industry and doesn't have too many acting gigs under their belt. Though odd, having both Korean and Chinese actors and hearing both languages are quite interesting.

I am most interested in the eldest brother's romance, as it's the least cringey. It's too bad there's not enough time to develop and it ends up him having a personality change at the end of the drama (though they gave us a reason for it). The 2nd brother is clingy and childish, and has a co-dependent relationship with his love interest. The youngest brother's story is the least interesting to me.

Don't expect too much. If you want something quick and easy, this could be interesting. I enjoy this enough to give it a very generous 7.25 rounded up to 7.5. Normally, with this quality of acting, writing and production value, this drama deserves a lower rating.

Three brothers with different mothers but the same wealthy father find out that there might be a fourth brother by a fourth woman. The three brothers' father order them to look for the last brother (actually supposedly the eldest one), but that's really important because a DNA test reveals that the "new brother" isn't their father's biological son.

What's important is that the eldest of the three brothers falls in love with the "new brother" who's thankfully not his brother. The story isn't as confusing as it may sound here, and that's a good thing. But there isn't really much of a story because what is really meant to be shown is each brother's BL romance, except that the romantic relationships aren't that fully developed either.

Despite the flaws, the BL aspects are rather cute. Strangely enough, although Brother 2 and 3 (the younger ones of the three brothers) behave as though they have boyfriends from the start, it is later revealed that their boyfriends are actually their best friends, and it is only towards the end of the series that they and their boyfriends confess their love for each other. Nevertheless, their interactions are sweet, and it's hard to dislike the show too much.

Look, I know there's slim picking as it is around good LGBT titles, but even from a stand point of desperation - this was so hard to watch through.

On a story front: ok, it was fairly basic and, I suppose, it worked for the most part - but really, after the first 4 episodes, it just gets completely lost and any remnants of character tropes and story arcs that make sense are entirely thrown out the window. The characters are terribly developed and executed just as badly. There are a few over the top "cringe" moments that make you wish you could like them, but it often comes in poorly timed and leaves you (and probably the actors too) just feeling awkward. The music didn't help much either - with not much room in the story itself to pick up on any character emotions or implied themes - the music swarms in constantly to make you know EXACTLY what mood is happening when. I found myself skipping through lots of moments that were done to the tune of cheesy 'idle' music or 'this is a romance' scene music. Really, I'm not so sure if this is adapted from a comic, because it really does come off with that kind of feel: especially since the main romantic tension of the primary couple is derived from 'well, he kidnapped me, rough handled me and assaulted me while drunk - so I must be in love with him!". Most of the dynamics between the couples is either weirdly problematic or just conjured from thin air.... so, it's hard to really ship any of them in the end.

Overall, really hard to like and definitely a title that I wouldn't revisit. I suppose some of the good points of it where that it was shot fairly well (the lighting was good, shots made sense apart from the 'I must monologue to your back' trope and everyone living in the same house , and, the actors did come across as genuinely trying to do a good job (which is really what made me stick through all the episodes)) and it wrapped all the nonsensical tangents with a neat scene at the end (which is always appreciated). I'd recommend this only if you have literally nothing else to do with your time.

the good: lin xun my bb boi. he's the most precious bean in the word and i'll fight u putas if you lay a finger on him! the music was good too.

the meh: the storyline of each couple. it was too,,, underwhelming. the acting was all right.

• lin xun x jun cheng's story line is the one that i cared the most but didn't care at the same time. it was too insta-love in a sense where they just fall too easy (well jun cheng fell too easily). where was the foundation of their relationship???

• jun dao x yan xiang's story line... *crickets* that's all i'm going to say.

• jun ping x yan yue's story line. well, they be doing too much honestly. alladat for what??? FOR WHAT??? gurl anyways

the bad: he plot. it's weak for me. the drama was there,, for what?? i don't get it and honestly i didn't care for all of it. it's badly executed and it could've been better. also the almost stepbrother plot whew i'm glad it didn't go there.

overall this was a mess but at least i enjoyed some parts of it. does it have rewatch value? no ? but this bl is alright.

Great Potential, Less Than Great Execution

Initially super excited for this but was ultimately let down. It’s not a terrible drama by any means, but there are critiques I have that prevent me from considering it anything but average.

THE BAD:
- The format is terrible. It’s been said in the comments, but this really feels like a movie that’s been cut up into pieces for whatever reason. Unlike a typical drama that either ends on a cliffhanger and otherwise feels complete though still part of a larger storyline, these episodes just end randomly and in no meaningful spot. It’s not as huge of a problem now that all of the episodes have been released, since you can binge, but watching it as it aired was not the most enjoyable in terms of that.

- Along those lines, this drama was far too short, and the plot and characters suffered for it. Both the mystery and the boys’ relationships were rushed, resulting in simplified plot lines and no suspense. I think if there had only been the main couple it would have been better, because more time could have been devoted to building their relationship and deepening the initial mystery. But what we’re given is a watered-down version of everything that feels less than fulfilling.

- The switching between Korean and Mandarin (where only one character spoke Korean but everyone could understand him and he could understand everyone else) was stupid. Sorry, I said what I said haha. I can *maybe* see how it would work among the brothers, *if* they grew up together and therefore kind of learned it together, but I cannot say the same for the brother and the stranger who, for all we know, has only lived in Taiwan and has no ties whatsoever to Korea or its language. (Also, the Korean brother and his scene partner were my least favorite, so I got tired of seeing them so much but I seem to be in the minority there haha).

- Going off of the above point, I did not feel any connection at all between the main couple. No spark, no heat, nothing. I’d say it’s due to lack of or poor buildup, but with the other couples—who got even less screen time—I did feel something there (and was more invested in them than the main one). So, I’d say it’s that combined with the actors failure to emote for me what I needed to feel something.

THE GOOD:
- Handsome actors who weren’t stiff or awkward.

- It was entertaining, despite the flaws, and I appreciate the concept as it’s different from the other BLs out there.

OVERALL:
Sure I’d recommend, only because it’s short and fairly interesting. I think the writers could have accomplished so much more had they been given more time to develop both story and relationships, and I regret that the opportunity was missed, but we have what we have and what we have is an average drama that could have been a lot more.
