Well executed revenge drama - highly recommend to watch!

I'm not usually a fan of Ch7 lakorns as I find previous ones to come across very 'nam nao', which basically translates to trashy or a drama with no real substance filled with bad acting. So when I saw the trailer for Fah Mee Tawan, it peaked my interest as i'm a sucker for a revenge lakorn! I started watching this with no expectations or preconceptions, and i've not watched a lakorn with neither of the two leads before. The director is the same one from Nang Rai, which was imo a complete mess. I dropped that as it was too OTT and frustrating to the point where the storyline became nonsense. Boy, he turned it right around on Fah Mee Tawan as this was a surprising hit in my books. It's one of the better lakorns that I've seen in a long time, i'm super impressed by it and i've watched A LOT over the years. It was well executed from start to finish, let me explain why.

The main focal point of the lakorn is based on Paul's thirst for revenge and the constant battle he goes through to see it through to the end against his emotions of gaining acceptance and love from his estranged father. I would say that the romance storyline is secondary here, but there are still plenty of 'will they or won't they?!' scenes between the leads to keep you on the edge of your seat. The director has cleverly built up the romance over each episode to keep you invested in the developing relationship of Paul and Nai. Every episode served a purpose and the storyline was not rushed nor was it dragged out for too long neither. Surprisingly, I did not find myself skipping any scenes which I often have a habit of doing. I found the production of the lakorn to be of a high calibre, and had a very 'cool kdrama' vibe to it. There were a few typical lakorn traits where you will end up feeling frustrated at certain characters but nothing was too overly dramatic which I can appreciate.

The cast and acting was 10/10. Donut and Prapye did not come to play about! These two are some great examples of fresh new talent for ch7. But, Donut emerged as the real star of Fah Mee Tawan, as he was spot on in capturing Paul's complex character. He had many emotional scenes and you could vividly feel his pain, his long kept anger and the angst that he was trying to portray. He is a natural on the screen, and I hope ch7 continue to give him more grown up roles as he has excelled in this. The chemistry him and Prapye had was SO good and believable, the tension was steadily building between them from Ep1. Even though the romance is a slow burner, but it was very satisfying when you reached its conclusion and could scream YASSS! And there are some real hot kisses ;) I'm sure they are now a koojin and hope they will be paired together in another lakorn soon. I was unsure of Nai's character at first, as she came across as a weak and submissive FL but this was all part of her character development because in the end, she is the most reasonable character with a genuine heart. P'Jeab as the nang rai/evil adoptive mum was fantastic, her facial expressions were on point! I've never seen her in this type of role before, as in real life, she's very sensible and soft. The support cast were also funny and cute to watch as they added light humour to the storyline.

It's also a major plus for me that Paul's character was not an power trip abuser, and did not ever use sexual force or rape to gain the upper hand over Nai. It's important for Thailand to stop glamorising rape culture in their lakorns. It is not okay and should not be used for entertainment purposes. I enjoy a lil slap/kiss but within reason. Fah Mee Tawan had the perfect balance of the love/hate relationship between the leads. Although, I wish there had been a bit more romance/playful scenes between them, there were a few opportunities to take advantage of this which was shut down swiftly. Lastly, the OST has one of my faaaaav songs, 'Foon' by Big Ass. This bring back memories from my teens!

You will not be disappointed as this lakorn exceeded my expectations, thank me laters and go watch FAH MEE TAWAN now!

Hands down…Best CH7 Lakorn of 2020

-I'm gonna be in a drama slump after watching this :(

It has everything: angsty romance, emotional father son scenes, plot twists, and best of all some good revenge.

Where do I start? Story, story, and more story. The story is literally everything for this lakorn, forget all the cliches there’s something about this lakorn that keep you on the edge of your seat!

Story: Plot revolves around Paul getting revenge (and rightfully so) on his real father that kept Paul’s mother’s assets and abandoned both of them for his mistress and adopted daughter(Nai). Paul comes back years later to take back what rightfully belonged to his mother and should now belong to him. This is a revenge lakorn gone right, nothing he did was unreasonable IMO. Smart and planned out revenge with no unnecessary BS and no forced kisses or anything, good development for the romance aspect as well.

Acting: EVERY SINGLE SCENE with Paul and his real dad is acting gold on Donut’s part because you can really feel all the emotions, the hurt, the secret hope for his father to be proud of him, and Paul just yearning for his love. Paul and Nai’s chemistry was intense! I mentioned this before but 14 episodes with no kiss and that literally wasn’t a problem, you could feel the love and longing they had for each other, just goes to show that romance isn’t all about physical stuff.
Nai’s acting/ character could’ve had some more development but Prapye did the best she could. I will say Donut’s acting just shone through the whole show he kept the audience really captivated, this dude is going places I tell ya.

Music: Music was pretty good!! I listened to some of the songs audio only because they were pretty catchy (especially the one by “Big Ass”- I still can’t get over their stage name XD)

Because the story is so important, rewatch value is a little less, however its very rewatchable due to the amazing acting by pretty much all of the cast and the angsty romance between the MLs.

only reason i took off 0.5 was because the cousin and niece scenes were a little filler and unnecessary, and also Nai being a little stupid sometimes.

Be ready to cry a lot but also smile a lot

I LOVED IT!!
Thai lakorns have the ability to make me cry like a mad women all the time. But this one got to me. So many sad moments with the main leads. I really felt sorry for Nai throughout the whole drama. She was so pure hearted but most people around her tried to harm her all the time. Paul loved her but he wasn’t ready to admit it because of his ego. I understood Paul and where he was coming from. His acting in the last episode with his headache and the hospital scenes was so real :( I love him.
All the people who did wrong got the ending they deserved. I am go glad they didn’t kill off all the evil doers like they do in most dramas. Death is an easy punishment for all the bad things they do.
There were funny scenes at the beginning as well. The doctor and Pat made it less serious and so did all the staff.
Anyways it was a great drama and I’m glad it had a happy ending. I would love for them to work together again.
It’s worth the watch!!!

SLOW BORING DRAGGY

If this Drama thinking that it could be better if they add One Character every Episode just to make the viewers satisfied about the story well not me it disappointed me. Try adding Nice/Good Character not making it a Villain Party well it would be better.

This Drama is the combination of every little thing that you hate/despise in a Lakorn and it turns well into something that you don't like. HAHAHAHA

It was not exciting unlike the other On going Drama that makes me feel obsessed with the next episode. It was really draggy and boring Revenge Drama that I have watch and maybe I have dropped it if I watch it Completed.

The Progress is just like a Ferris Wheel it was so slow It went up and down. The Vengeance and development of the Characters also slow. I have watch many Revenge Lakorn better than this one so don't waste your time if you're looking for Revenge Plot. There's so many unnecessary Characters and unnecessary scenes.

Donut's potrayal of Paul is the only good thing that happened in the show. However, he is so Vengeful towards to his Stupid Father I mean his biological Father

Khun Nai is a weak person who only thinks about 'gratitude' .At the same time she's asking for the love of her Adopted Mother. She's a punching bag that waiting for someone to punch her She is stupid cause she's not moving by her own self cause she's standing on other people's shadow.

I don't like anyone from the Character literally no one is beyond to my liking. They're all stupid and bad like they didn't know that Singkorn is backstabbing dog and Paramee still trusting him and his Wife Khun Net who's a hooker who likes to eat Men's Sperm of anyone whoever she wants and always taking advantage of Nai. There's so many Villain Characters that I want to tell since it is Villain Party but I think it's enough for now.

I'm asking for the Second Lead Couple cause Ch7 always good in making the Second Couple better than the Main Couple. But it was definitely a pure mess The Doctor who only love Khun Nai even it have already fiance and didn't look for other woman around her. And that woman is also stupid who always showing her love to that guy that is blind to FL.

Khun Nai (Praphye) still needs improvement cause her Acting is so down to Earth I can't see her smile even a little bit even in any angle. Khun Net (Jeab)is so calm her voice her face and her movement I think She cannot play a Villain The Acting of the Main Lead was not so bad it was Okay. I didn't also like the Soundtrack cause it seems that the Singer is drunk before the recording Lol but they added Ost on Episode 14 which is actually good that the Main Ost. I will not Rewatch this Title cause I'm getting pissed with so many Characters and I don't want to see Singkorn in other Lakorn again.

Still it have 2 Episodes left I scored it 4 for now but it can change to 2 or 3 Lollllll Maybe 5.5 if I like the Ending.

Sorry Guys but I just can't like it.

Cheers to my 1st CH7 drama that I did not drop midway

Story is very solid on this one.
This is like marrying the styles of Innocent Man (Kdrama), Hua Jai Sila (less campy villains and no "forced things" ), Kluen Cheewit (with less irritating villains).
Paul (ML) has this solid motivation to take back what is rightfully his mothers after being abandoned by his father keeping all the wealth to himself and his mistress Net (Main villain).
His way of revenge is so timely and smart.
It's like he is calculative but not in a sexual manner like other lakorns. He meets the adopted child of his father Nai (FL) and the conflict starts from there on

Tbh, for a Ch7 drama, I was not expecting this, the production value is very high to the lines you can mistake it as a family kdrama or a cdrama. Mongkoldee really took notes and take it up a notch. Was not really expecting much due to the messy Nang Rai from the same production team but Episode by episode, it surely proved me wrong. Forget all the cliche, high pitch catfights, overbearing villains, here its all well acted. I can see the dialogue delivery is well thought out and all actors are not high pitched.

Actors and actresses on this series is an ensemble.
Donut gave justice to Paul like you can see a storm of emotions on him, whether on taking his father down while expecting praise from him at the same time. The gold one was the scenes both of his adoptive father and his biological father.
Prapye excelled as Nai, she is a strong woman tugged down by her debt of gratitude to the villain.
Jeab who played the villain is so detestable that she started a meme in Thailand. Her beautiful innocent face that can go devil in a second.
Also Jayda and Chayapol (Pat and Kashane) is really solid second leads.
Don't forget the office crew, they really carried the office scenes well.

Overall, its a perfect cast choice, they really did pick the best, P'Tle - the director really visualised the series and made sure the errors in Nang Rai won't happen here as he directed it also.

Lastly, the music choice, its perfect. Some of these are Thai Pop classics Its very rewatcheable and a good entry point to Thai Lakorns

It can be re watched and it is damn interesting than any other on going ch7 lakorns!!!

Sawadee kha,
I have been watching thai dramas from 2 years and I love them. And one of the drama that is worth watching is ''Fah mee tawan''. Yeah, You cannot like it when you are not interested in revenge dramas or not interested in twists and turns in a plot that you don't expect. This is one of the drama that is competing with some more interesting dramas and have gained so much popularity. Yeah, they have. So, the plot is actually unexpected and has many twists and turns which will drag you to the next episode without your knowledge. It can stir your mind when you see something that you don't expect and the music is damn according to me because we just don't have vengeful music produced daily right, And when you say that the singer has drunk and recorded lol, Do you even realize they spend 4 -5 hours in a studio to produce a music that they invest to just let it adapt to the story and make the drama bonded to the audience.Right?
So, when we come to the characters, everyone have done an spectacular job and have attained the expectations that the audience expect from a drama.
Paul yang or Poramee is portrayed by Donut and I have to admit that he has donned the character and bought life to the character by gestures with his eyes and expressions!!. When it came to act as a crazy person affected by some bad memories he showed the effort that an actor has to put in his character.
Nainapha or Khun Nai portrayed by Prapye, She also has done a great job and I actually appreciate the effort the character shows to her adopted parents and her evil fiance.
Netsalao or P'Net is portrayed by P'Jeab and she excellently aced the villain character, and you can witness in the drama when she immediately changes the character from cunning to Violent and then romantic with Paul and again the cycle she drove back and forth.
Paramee was the character I hated the most because when a person has donated you all her life, you cannot turn your back on them and Paramee is well known for that behaviour which he afterwards regrets. But, the fact that we have to accept is that P'Noom has successfully made us sink in his character with his efforts and no remarks.
Singkorn who back stabs Paramee actually didn't disappoint me with his acting and I feel happy that his character bought at least a bit of development in the story and I appreciate the actor Rapeepat who aced it posing dark side in the drama.
Dr.Kashane character portrayed by Chayapol was also appreciable and He has a done a very good job and I actually feel a bit anger when I see him roaming near a person who is already having a Fiancee and He acts as if she lives in his heart. That was a bit disappointing about him in this drama but, I am happy that he found his true soul mate at last.
Every small character portrayed by Actors were impressive when it comes to Office characters or Netsalao's cousin character. I really do appreciate their effort they have invested in the drama.
And when it comes to the story, I personally saw some dramas and this was the drama that dragged me to the next episode by itself and I just think of the story when I am doing other chores in home too. This story is engaging and it is Re watchable. I will watch it thousand times if I have time.
No hatred towards anybody!!
Love y'all
THANK YOU for reading this review and hope this was useful.

Fantastic revenge drama with great cast!

This is a good drama with nice pacing. I got the kdrama vibes in the first few episodes because of the background music. This drama reminded me off Huajai Sila and Innocent Man. This one is even better than Huajai Sila because the way the male lead here makes step-by-step plans for his goal is more realistic and interesting.
There are not forced kisses, and the romance developed naturally between the main leads. The relationship building and plot development are just right. It'd have been better if the female lead had been more clever and confident. She never dared to fight for her rights whenever her adoptive mother and fiancee bullied her. I hoped to see her character development in the middle of the drama, but it happened only in the last episode. Osts are not memorable enough, which is expected from Ch 7 lakorns.
But I didn't have to skip many scenes just like other Thai lakorns as there are less catfights and yelling, but more content that mean something to the plot. The most impressive thing about this drama is Donut's acting. I could feel his happiness, sadness, longing and hate though his eyes and facial expressions. At first, I didn't expect much from him but I was surprised that he could perform even better than some famous actors. Prapye did a good job as well. Despite their young age, both main leads could carry the heavy plot and bring their characters into life successfully. Honestly, they deserve more fame and good roles in the near future. Their chemistry is also amazing. Hope to see a new romance drama of these two.
I highly recommend this drama. It is really worth a watch!

The Best Lakorn Male Lead Drama Of All Time.

I can say that this is the greatest thai drama I've ever watched as far as the male lead is concern. (Because kluen cheewit is the greatest for female lead). This is a story of a young wealthy businessman named Paul (donut) who was adopted by the owner of ML jewelry in hong kong, khen yang. Because his stupid father choose his mistress over his own wife and son.

Paul return to Thailand to take back everything that belongs to him, his mother's precious jewel, pink rose, and the company itself, crown diamond. He did not disclose his identity to anyone, as being the (adopted) son of the owner of ML jewelry company. And even more so the true heiress of crown diamond itself.

He got closed to his stepmother, net, by seducing her, a part for his revenge. So, he can join the crown diamond, so he first became an ordinary salesman. But because he is already an executive at ML jewelry doing these stuffs were too easy for him, so he excel in everything he does. Little by little he got promoted and eventually became the CEO. Nai (prapye) hates and suspicious of him because of his indicent relationship with her foster parent, net.

Paul hates nai because she gained everything that was originally belonged to him. The love of his father and crown diamond. So he also plans to take revenge on her too.

By destroying the crown diamond itself.

While he was just a sales person a lot of higher ups look down on him. Without having the idea that he is the son of ML company who will invest to crown diamond in order to make it survive. It gets bankrupt litte by little because of antagonists singkorn, net's lover, who do not play fare and cheated on the company.

This drama is really interesting because you can see Paul's character as he gradually shows his guts everytime he was looked down by other people. And you can also see how he outwitted those villain who were trying to destroy him.

Each scene is important and interesting that you wouldnt even dare to miss. Its like an important piece of a jigsaw puzzle, that even the scene of the protagonists is important that you shouldn't even skipped.

Donut's acting is really awesome on this. He really embodied paul's character very well ?. The love story is good, not a typical slap/kiss lakorn. And the kiss is so hot, they got a lot of interrupted kisses but when they did , they kissed for real. For me, that kiss was the best lakorn kiss of all.

As for the drama scene. I like the hospital scene, that was trully my favorite. You can see the pain in his heart and the joy that he found from prapye's love. Very dramatic scene for me.

I highly reccommend this. You will not regret watching this.

I just hope donut will make more great drama like this. And he and prapye will work together again in more dramas in the future

Mild revenge in respects of lakron

•Story- Revenge mixed with family drama. It was kind of Mild revenge drama in respects of lakron type
well written script but becomes a little draggy with the middle.
•Acting- Prapaye as Nai was beautiful. Her face was full of naive expressions.she was perfect for the role as she seemed stupid never standing up for herself inspite of seeing the negativity of her benefator in the whole drama.
Donut pattaporn as Paul was splendid. His revenge and love were perfectly blended in the expression. His shirtless scenes was jaw dropping.
Jayeda as Pat was too nosy about every matter without knowing the depth and judging everyone superficially. She was loyal to her friend but she always threatens the doctor and pukes the secrets to Nai.
Chayapol as Dr. Kachane was a positive supporting character. But his lack of expressing his love towards Nai was unnecessary.that seemed like a filler to the story
Jeab as Netselao, Vicious vamp with beautiful face. In the beginning episodes she seemed to be a next door vamp but in the latter episodes she bombed the character of Net and made me hate her endlessly.
•Music- Osts were beautiful. Perfectly fitting the situation and scene.
•Rewatch - the romance in later episode stole the charm and for their chemistry I am gonna rewatch it again.

•Favourite scene-At jungle where Paul says sorry was the most intense scene dripped with emotions.
•Criticism-Stupidest dad paramee, not investigating whom to marry his child. He clearly sees pauls feelings for nai but not the betrayal of dan.

MUST WATCH!!!

I really enjoyed this lakorn, it may actually be my favorite. The two lead actors were incredible I felt every emotion with them and genuinely cared about the both of them. The side characters were also very likable and interesting and I wasn't feeling the need to fast forward through any scenes. Every part had a purpose that added to the story.

The story was very interesting and it wasn't the typical revenge drama which I enjoyed. The actors were incredible especially Donut (Paul) he had me swooning in every scene like he is just amazing and has a wonderful future ahead of him.

Overall I recommend this to anyone who enjoys revenge dramas!!

Best Male Character

This drama is well-written & has realistic characters. The male lead isn’t just the best character in this drama but he is the strongest out of all the male characters from Thai dramas. Before watching this, Tor from Hua jai Sila was ranking 1st in my list. But time to time Tor did disappoint me...( i can’t support what he did with the FL’s sister) but the character of Paul never let me down, from beginning to end he was a decent guy. He had the right dosage of anger & grief and didn’t cross any lines in the name of revenge.
The way he was escalating on the company ranking and was able to counter & outsmart his enemies were amazing. He always had a charming smile on his face even when people tried to put him down or hurt him. It is so satisfying when characters are able to keep their cool in front of provocation, instead of catfighting focus on the bigger picture to achieve their goal. I am glad to see Thai drama are starting to make smart ML. Hope it becomes a trend.

The chemistry between the leads was another highlight. There wasn’t unrealistic love at first sight, jealousy or violent tendency from ML towards FL. Both were cordial with one another. When necessary protected & helped each other in dangerous situations. The relation evolved gradually which made it look natural.

The most complex & sad relationship in this story is between Paul & his father. Inside Paul just wanted his father to recognise him & give him the same love, warm, care, support he gave to Nai. His father betrayal & rejection haunted him more than his step mother’s evilness. I wished they had more time together at the end.

This is one of the best drama along Hua jai Sila & kluen Cheewit . There are no unnecessary scenes. I suggest everyone to watch it. The story has everything: good actors, characters, dialogue, plot-line & flow. This drama and especially the male lead set very high standard for upcoming shows.

I tried to get through it but ditched after a few episodes.
The ml is so boring and meh the only interesting character was the wife who was cheating and of course it wasn't the main ship so no point for me. The fl character was so BORING and I didn't get connected to her story either.
For me it's not even a good mindless filler watch cause its boring despite the interesting plot.
I like cheating in lakorn its always fun and dramatic and this had the potential but the delivery fell flat.
