Lovely lovely relationship

If you are reading this review, expecting the drama to follow the typical “annoying siblings to lovers” plot, you are so wrong.
The male lead is a smart caring older brother that will protect his younger sister (female lead) without her. The portrayal of his character is almost perfect - mature, composed, smart.
The most touching part is the flaw of this character, he lost a leg when he was younger! There were touching scenes where he detested himself for his lost leg and how he cannot protect his younger sister. He acted it out so well (afterall we all know that Linghe is an outstanding actor).
The touching scenes makes the warm hearted male lead to seem extremely vulnerable when he tries to protect the one he love and it just makes me break down with tears.

Moving on to the female lead, her actual age is only 16!! She portrayed her role just as fine as the Ml did. It’s often too adorable to see how the tiny small her tries to stand up for her older brother, thinking she can outraged the bullies. Though she is naive and innocent, she is extremely protective of her older brother and is mature enough to cheer him up when his down.
The interaction between both of them is not like any other drama and the love and care they show for one another will definitely warm up your heart.

Do not skip this drama because of the fact that the ratings are not that high, if you’re in for some touching high school drama, you’re on the right page :)!!

Just on Time!

Yeah it was Just on time. after a long trip i was bored. i was looking for a already aired drama. i was watching Till the end of the Moon, The Secret Romantic Guesthouse and Put Your Head on my Shoulder ( Re-watching) but the time Reached home i had finished all of the weekly episodes. and also Put Your Head on my Shoulder. so i spent my 3 Days just looking for a drama with my Taste. I've asked my friends. but one of them is busy with exam and another guy suggested me some Xianxia and Wuxia. but i was looking for a Modern and Fresh drama. i Don't know why i decided to watch this but i Don't Regret Now!

I am a Military Lover so I enjoyed Glory of Special Forces perfectly and that's my most favorite drama ever. but i never thought i will enjoy any other drama like that. i Don't hate any of those Characters and it wasn’t boring at all.

few people said Main Male Lead has the worst Family but i Don't think so. thay had There reason and everyone have rights to choice the way of there own life. if i am lazy then that's on me. why my family have to suffer with me? and also about Female's mother. she was a little bit bold but if you think Through then you may say that. she wasn’t wrong and Right. she was just Alright at thet moment. if you read my Review's this pert after finishing the drama then you will understand it better.

i watched Zheng Linghe's Performance on Love Between Fiery and Devil his performance was as expected and Ancy Deng! her performance was so Cool dude! i was just thinking, at that age what i was Doing 🤔 maybe Writing My Homework 😂😂😂

If you are looking for a High School Drama then i am highly recommend you, Flourish in Time ❤️‍🩹

You Won't Regret once you Start. Just do not expect Romantic Scene. without Kiss and Romantic Scene there is such a Greet Drama. I've never imagined as well...

Enjoyable sweet youth drama.

Flourish in time is a drama that feels enjoyable. It doesn't have one tone that sets the drama throughout, but mixes the tone throughout.

This drama does so well on is the plot and the characters. Sure the drama can feel slow at times, but it focuses on the two leads school/youth life. It is supposed to be slow and fun. The friendships they formed or the events they participated in was so enjoyable. But it is not just a typical youth drama focusing on their youth. The character background of Jiang Haoyue plays a huge factor into the plot and how his life is today.

Don't get scared that the two leads are "siblings" and develops more than that kind of love. It has an emotional story of how they become close to each other. The slice of life and drama are a great addition to the fun youth journey of the drama. It helps make the drama not become stale with just focusing on their youth. The interesting personal background of the leads and their families throughout the drama was good. The story it told as the drama progressed as well as how the characters would change was wonderful. The friendship here is actually satisfying. Each friend of the Jiang and Lu Miao felt like a real friend. Not one didn't feel annoying.

It was a shock to me to found out the female lead was very young at the time. It was the reason to why there isn't much romantic moments you expect like a kiss. This actually helped the drama because it balanced it out more. It connects the leads background story to the progress of their relationship. There is not much of romantic cliches like love triangles or forced teases. Sure both leads had a person other than the leads like them, but it didn't last long or the leads weren't dumb. This made it so refreshing to see because I hate it when one(usually the male lead) doesn't understand their feelings for the female lead. Right from the start to the end, Jiang Haoyue likes Lu Miao in a way where he interferes in Shi Che's attempts to win Lu Miao over. It was funny at times too instead of personal. Both leads never fell in love with another person except for each other.

It can't be a perfect drama without the OST. The opening song has a joyful mood and tone that is about their youth. The ending song has a feeling that focuses on the two leads love for each other. The other soundtracks used for the emotional moments in the drama were great as well.

I can't wait for the day when I want to go rewatch this drama again. It is just satisfying to watch it all over again. It has a tremendous plot for a youth drama with terrific characters. Flourish in time has become my favorite Cdrama of all time.

This drama hit just the right spot at the right time for me. Sweet, funny, tender, touching, sad… It had everything. And I loved all the characters, both Lu Miao’s friends and Jiang Haoyue’s friend - yes, singular - and all the family stuff that was simply heart-wrenching…

I really liked how the drama handled Jiang Haoyue’s disability. It did not make him any less and it didn’t really hinder him in his everyday life but that did not mean that it wasn’t an issue, affecting both his health and the financial situation of his family. And it wasn’t a thing that would ever go away. And I loved that Lu Miao never saw Jiang Haoyue’s disability as a problem because she’s only ever known him with it, there was no Haoyue without it in her memory and so she simply accepted that this was his reality and there was no need to debate it or pick it apart. Haoyue was Haoyue as he was for her.

I read that Zhang Linghe said that out of all the characters he has played so far, Jiang Haoyue was the one that affected him the most. No wonder. ZLH was just amazing here. He gave his all, especially in emotional scenes that were truly felt but never overdone. Fantastic. And when you realize that ZLH studied electrical engineering not acting, that he’s basically self-taught and has only been in the business for two-three years? Wow.

Light and Youthful

Youth-themed dramas are pretty common in the land of cdramas so the only thing I'm looking for is the effectiveness of the storytelling. I have only watched 10 episodes so far but I like where this drama is going. It brings out the fun and pain of being a youth. I was also surprised that the main lead here is a person with disability. I had hesitation at first because I didn't want the drama to use it as a mere plot device but I like how they portray the main lead as someone very capable. I've also gotten tired of the naive, lovestruck female characters in your usual youth cdrama but there's something so endearing about the female character here--I just saw her as a relatable teenage girl who falls in love for the first time. I hope this drama ends well because I had a bad experience with tragic youth cdramas.

Our teenaged time

I am watching about 1/2 - 2/3 part.

When I watched my remembrance flied to my school and house, parents and sibling and our youth feeling. Good for new generation to watch and realizes that our world is full of color.

Suggestion is
1. It is for 13++ yo. So, the violent scene when Jiang HY and Lu Miao fought bastard gang, has to be soften. I think it is too hard for 13++, and more for high school 15++ aged.

2. Also, please shorten the scene in playing game.
Although what I like is they play China tambour /drum, not western theme.
I understand we tv or the publishing company has the biggest game vendor business.

Zhang LH shows much development in acting, he is like his first film,Maiden Holmes, can play very violent but also sentimental.
Deng Enxi is very very good sometime I think how she can be so agile and transforms to be Lu Miao so perfect.
Zhang is 23, Deng is 16. Their chemistry comes as if in real life.

I really love the scene when they have trouble, it seems a perfect team bro-sis or sibling kinship turns into romance relationship.

Great movie for teenager.

This is really a refreshing drama despite its youth theme, normally they are so cringey to view for older viewers like me, but it goes deeper than highshool romance. Not a fan of slice-of-life, I am impressed at how the show treated family relationships, childhood friendships and teenage drama. The social teen group are comprised of characters that are multi-dimensional, with their own flaws, but their tenacity to wade through their problems are endearing. They came across as being more mature than even some of the adults in the drama. Despite only in her mid-teens when filming, Ancy Deng's performance is on point. The decision to cast her in spite of her age is a wise one: because teens should be played by teens, and not by older actors who may not necessarily have that youthful naivete. I read reviews that many were disappointed there wasn't a kiss scene in a romance drama (due to Deng's minor status, and her age gap with the ML), but it should not detract from the story.

Emotional Youth Drama

So many dramas I've watched but few had really made me cry. It's a youth drama and personally i wouldn't have watched it if it weren't for Zhanglinghe. It just wasn't my type of genre of dramas. But then i fell into Zhanglinghe rabbit hole and decided to watch all of his dramas. I was hesitant to watch this because of some reviews I've seen that its boring and the ml is so stiff. But then i gave it a try and to my surprise I didn't find any of the things they were complaining about in the drama. The story is well paced for me but rather than a lively and enjoyable youth drama, i can say its more of an inspirational and emotional one that it made me reminisce my youth. It doesn't focus on romance but rather more on family issues which i can definitely relate to. It also tackles physical disability and the ml really portrayed well the emotional and mental struggles of having a disability. This is probably my first drama that made me really feel the feeling of someone having a disability but despite having it, their lives still must go on. Acting wise, all of the casts did their roles perfectly especially the leads and also the parents. Osts i didn't enjoy much but its fine and had such a nostalgic vibe into it. Overall I really love it and probably one of the few dramas that'll stick to my memory for a very long time.

Love & Devotion

I really enjoyed this series and I am hoping that there’ll be a season 2. I read the reviews first before embarking and I’d say that this drama deserves high ratings! Personally, I think that this drama is a great drama which deserves to be watched!

What I liked:
- The young lead couple went through hard times as well as trials and tribulations to get to where they were — happily together at the end of the drama.
- The young lead couple’s devotion to each other was moving and very sweet.
- The secondary characters were quite adorable. Other than the “supposed beauty” of the school, there weren’t heinous villains. Shi Che, Guo Guo and Xie Zi Ye were cute. Their friendship made me envious.
- The characters were realistic and believable. They acted well enough.
- Happy ending for all the characters in general. Good to see that Jiang Hao Yue’s father turned over a new leaf in the end.
- Slice of life drama which was realistic and believable.

What I was shocked by:
- I didn’t know that there would be a serious issue in this drama. I blame Jiang Hao Yue’s mother for his grievous accident. If she hadn’t left him, he would have been fine.

Overall, I’d say: Watch. This is a well-made drama with ups and downs. I enjoyed it. It’s better than many other dramas out there. It made me wistful for my teen/ young adult years. Must carpe diem and enjoy all moments as much as possible.

bittersweet reality wrapped up in youthful sweetness

I'm pleasantly surprised with how raw this drama felt. I thought this will be another cutesy, angsty and full of youthful energy drama but it's more than just that.

I love the balance - when focused on the youth, the story is leaning more towards innocence, studies, and having fun (except for our poor Jiang Haoyue of course 🥲); while the adults' story is very real and heavy. This makes Flourish in Time a perfect drama to watch with the entire family. Oftentimes, adults would want to shield their children from the early exposure to the realities of life which is why JHY's story is absolutely gut-wrenching. I hate to think any child would go through life like that but I know it's real. The drama was able to convey that without ruining the lightness of a youth drama.

I like that JHY's father had a redemption arc, so did Su Daifei. It's also refreshing that somehow 2 of the leads didn't have partners at the end, and didn't just magically found a partner in the final ep. I also love Ziye and Shi Che's dynamics, they'd make a cute couple. And personally, I'd easily fall for Qu Wei lol he's a nerd but also has a comparably high EQ and i love his humor. He's a very well-written character.

Zhang Linghe's naturally soft and innocent aura is a double-edged sword for me. He's definitely lovable but this is the 4th time (LBFAD, MJTY, SOKP) I've watched him in a dysfunctional family and so emotionally and mentally troubled because of it. It's heartbreaking to watch especially with those soft dewy eyes 🥲 Nonetheless he's done a really good job portraying Jiang Haoyue!

Solid story and acting from everyone = an amazing drama, Flourish in Time.

Great!

I really enjoyed this series. For once their isn't a pouting male who demeans females in this. Cast is great! It has very funny scenes in it. The cake scene was GREAT! Who can't relate to trying to out wit ones rival for a girl. How about liking a girl and afraid of letting them know it?😂 The ups and downs of school life in those early years is totally relatable.

Scenery is fantastic. It is nice to know that there are concrete jungles all over the world. School life (especially early years) are unforgettable. You remember that one friend throughout ones life. This is what this series remind me of.

This is my second time watching it.👍👍👍👍👍

Nice one

The drama was really nice, the story, the place, the characters, the acting, it was refreshing.
It lacked the romance imo,
maybe because the main actress was 16 years old, I kinda wanted to see some heart fluttering moments between them but they were more casual. More friendly feeling than romantic, like it didn't feel even a little romantic. Maybe if they had an actress who was a bit older then they could have made it romantic.

While the second couple (shi che and zi ye) was hinted and I was waiting to see them but, nothing actually happened even till the end, it makes me sad because they had great chemistry, much potential because the few moments they had were really really full of chemistry, I was waiting for them to become official but, disappointed. If they had become a couple they would have out shined. But then again they would have filled the lack of romance the main lead had and I would have been satisfied xD.

Also the side characters was also really good like you won't really end up hating anyone, no one is gonna get on your nerves.
I liked the character of Qu Wei a lot. Harry Potter in the muggle world.

I also liked how they shared their childhood memories in the last bit of episode, always something new and relating to that specific episode, didn't took time and you keep seeing a bit of history of their relationship when they were kids and how much they have changed or stayed the same.

I enjoyed while I watched, I was actually looking for some drama like "Go Ahead" even though much different but still there was a feel to it, so yeah Good for me.
