Tae Guk Gi: The Brotherhood of War (2004)

It deals about a brother sacrificing either love or their life for the other.

This movies are a must watch, I would never image I could enjoy them so much, cause I'm not a war movie type girl and yet these ones kept me on the edge of my seat till the end. In both main lead is played by amazing Jang Dong Gun.

Both movies are about older brother taking care of younger brother and trying everything to keep them safe. Both movies involve war and fighting.

Both are war movies which show the brutality of the korean war. Furthermore they are highlighting the disaster of fighting against your own people (your "national brothers") and what happens to the families of such a split country. If you are interested in korean history you absolutly have to watch them both!

Both are about split brothers who must fight in enemy armies. Tae Guk Gi is more a typical action/war movie whereas Saigo no Kizuna is more a mixtype between war-drama and historical documentation because it tells the true story of two brothers who are alive nowadays.

Both movies are based on hostility between north and south. Unlike Tae Guk Ki, Northern Limit line depicts true event happened at Northern Limit Line during 2002.

- Both movies are masterfully created with top-notch acting. (The acting in Tae Guk Gi is insanely good I've never seen any better in any other movie honestly)
- Strong and heartfelt sibling relationships in both. In Tae Guk Gi, there are 2 brothers who deeply care for eachother instead of a brother and a sister.
