Both are about arranged marriage and marriage before love . In both dramas the leads get married to someone they don't know and get to know each others after living together

Coffee and vanilla have lot of cheese, so do shanai marriage honey! I personally disliked coffee & vanilla because it have no story whatsoever, but it's kinda addicting that you don't want to drop it! Shanai marriage honey however have a baseline story, that how two stranger marry each other and then fall in love! But that story is limited to ep 1 only, after that i will say it's very similar to coffee and vanilla! The male lead is a bit cold / sadist! Female lead in both dramas are cute.

Male lead and female lead are co-workers both,- and more.

Both comedies revolve around a couple who end in a Marriage Of Convenience. The male leads end up falling for the female lead by the end from their interactions with her. The ending is different enough, however, so be ready.

Yae, an unremarkable girl working in a café and living with a friend, finds herself unable to afford rent when her friend suddenly gets married, and she loses her job in the same day! It’s only when her boyfriend dumps her that she finally hits rock bottom.

She’s at her wits’ end when her childhood friend Takumi suddenly reappears into her life. Takumi suggests that Yae take on a part-time job as his “fake wife” for the next six months. He has his reasons for wanting people to think he’s married. Yae has no other choice but to accept his proposal, and in return receives housing and living expenses for playing the role of his “fake wife.”

So begins a “fake marriage” with a time limit. Unbeknownst to Yae, she was Takumi’s first love, even though she thinks of him as nothing more than a childhood friend. Takumi struggles awkwardly but earnestly to win Yae’s heart and find true love. Even though their marriage starts as a sham, will the day come when this couple can become something more?

Both have a person that is sick and may die that leads to the female and male leads jumping into a relationship.
In SMH- The male lead's mother is diagnosed with cancer and is worried about her son being alone after she dies. So her son jumps into a marriage after only meeting his bride to be one time. The female lead caught her boyfriend cheating on her and decided she wanted to be married to just someone because she wants to escape her parents house and her current life. She meets the male lead through a dating app and they decide to marry without knowing each other.

In GF- the male lead has a brain tumor and is terminal without doing a risky surgery that could result in his death, So he comes to Japan to do some things before he dies. One of those things is he wants to fall in love one last time. He decides to look for someone he can have an affair with so when he dies the girl wouldn't be alone she'd have her husband to support her, He meets the female lead on vacation who is single but she lies and says she married. thus the affair begins. The female lead is attracted to the male lead but she lies about her status because she has tried unsuccessfully to date for years and has been told she is boring ,so on a whim she says she's married.s
