Chun Woo Hee will be the female lead of the upcoming star-studded series titled "Money Game."

On May 27th Studio N revealed that Chun Woo Hee has been selected as the female lead of the upcoming series "Money Game." She will be playing the supposed to be the character portrayed by IU

Last January, "Money Game" already revealed its main cast lineup. IU was one of the confirmed casts of the drama but due to schedule conflicts, the idol-actress decided to step down. 

Chun Woo Hee will now be joining  Ryu Joon Yeol, Park Jung Min, Park Hae Joon, Bae Sung Woo, and Moon Jung Hee

"Money Game" will adapt its story from the webtoon of the same name by Bae Jin Soo. The series will be an eight-episode drama that will showcase the stories of eight contestants working and betraying each other in an extreme setting game. The eight people are battling against the winning prize of 44.8 billion won (approx. $35 million).

The star-studded drama will be helmed by director Han Jae Rim, the man behind the hit films "Emergency Declaration," "The King," and "The Face Reader." It will be produced by Studio N  ("Sweet Home" and "Our Beloved Summer"), Mangum Nine ("The King" and "Emergency Declaration"), and Lotte Culture Works.  

"Money Game" is set to begin filming next month. The drama will possibly premiere on an OTT platform.

This will be the comeback drama of Chun Woo Hee after three years. She last starred in the 2019 drama "Be Melodramatic." 

The actress will also lead the upcoming tvN drama "Beneficial Fraud." 

Aside from dramas, Chun Woo Hee is also booked for several upcoming films such as "I Want to Know Your Parents," "Rustle," and "Stolen Identity."
