Yoon Gyung Ho joins Han Seok Kyu and Han Ye Ri in "The Intimate Traitor"
Go Doo Shim will be the main star of the upcoming KBS drama "Curtain Call."
On September 9th, it was officially confirmed that Go Doo Shim will be the main character of the upcoming drama "Curtain Call." She will be working alongside Kang Ha Neul, Ha Ji Won, Sung Dong Il, Kwon Sang Woo, Ji Seung Hyun, and more.
Early this year, another veteran actress was reported to play the main lead character. Now, it's officially confirmed that Go Doo Shim got the role.
"Curtain Call" will tell the story of an elderly woman from North Korea and a theatre actor. The North Korean woman doesn't have much time to live and the theatre actor will pretend to be her grandson to fulfill her last wish.
The series will be the latest work of Yoon Sang Ho ("River Where the Moon Rises," "Saimdang, Light’s Diary," and "The Legend") and the script will be written by Jo Seong Geol ("Hitman: Agent Jun").
Go Doo Shim will play the role of Ja Geum Soon. She is the founder and CEO of Korea's leading hotel chain, Hotel Paradise. She was separated from her husband and her child during her escape from North Korea. As time went on, she became the founder of Hotel Paradise all the while awaiting her reunification with her child and husband.
"Curtain Call" will premiere in the second half of 2022.
This drama will be the follow-up project of Go Doo Shim after "Our Blues ." The veteran actress will also join the upcoming drama "Island Season 1" led by Kim Nam Gil, Lee Da Hee, Cha Eun Woo, Sung Joon, and Park Geun Hyung.
Go Doo Shim is known for being part of the dramas "When the Camellia Blooms," "My Mister," "Dear My Friends," "You Are The Best!," "TV Novel: You are a Star," "Rustic Period," "Law of Marriage," "All About My Mom," "More Beautiful Than a Flower," and more.
