Main casts of "Broker" such as Song Kang Ho, Kang Dong Won, IU, and Lee Joo Young will be heading to this year's Cannes International Film Festival.
On May 4th it was announced that Song Kang Ho, Kang Dong Won, IU, and Lee Joo Young, will be leaving for Cannes, France through International Airport on May 24th. Bae Doo Na will also depart for the US but there's a high chance that she will not be able to attend the event due to her filming schedule. The cast will attend Cannes International Film Festival.
"Broker" which is produced by CJ ENM entered the competition section of the 75th Cannes International Film Festival, and the director and production team will join the various events happening there.
The upcoming film "Broker" will tell the story of people that are involved in a baby box. A baby box is a small space wherein parents/individuals can leave their babies anonymously for adoption.
The movie is the latest masterpiece of director Koreeda Hirokazu ("Nobody Knows," "Still Walking," and "Like Father, Like Son.")
"Broker" will be led by Song Kang Ho, who will play as Sang Hyun, the self-proclaimed broker of goodwill. Kang Dong Won will also join Song Kang Ho and he will be his partner in the film. IU on the other hand will portray a mother role for the very first time. She will be So Young in the film, one of the mothers who left her baby in the baby box. Bae Doo Na and Lee Joo Young will be working together as detectives in the movie.
Other casts of the movie include Baek Hyun Jin, Choi Yoon Woo, Choi Hee Jin, Lee Moo Saeng, Kim Do Yeon, and Kang Gil Woo.
"Broker" will be out in Korean theaters on June 8th.
