I read a lot of comments just now. It's incredible how we transport ourselves into this parallel world and experience the joys and pains: although it's fiction, our laughs and tears are real (like my tears now). The story has flaws, just like our lives. Whoever writes it is human, like us. But these flaws didn't diminish the human dimension of MJH, ML, LM, characters who showed their misery: they don't deserve, therefore, to be lynched by an intolerant morality that we don't apply in our own lives. Behind the characters, there are the actors, people of flesh and bones, like us, who worked hard, often get hurt, because Art is 90% perspiration and 10% inspiration and, later, 100% inspiration.

The story wasn't lost due to these gaps, because what is most dear to us was safe, the true love that we see between MJH and ML, and the spark of hope that leads us every day to suffer for another episode.

We are Poetry in a wild state, and sometimes our inner beast, blinded by emotion, wants to prevail over our melodious nightingale that keeps our dreams, threads that tie us to life.

Even in the face of the discredit of many and scenes that lead you to believe that there won't be a HE, I guarantee, against all odds, that we'll see MJH and ML prove that the undying flower didn't grow in vain in their paths. They'll have been watered with tears, theirs and ours, as the price of a happy ending.

Liu Xueyi's Spring Flowers Film Review # "Weibei Army, reintegrate! Murong Jinghe, come back to life!" Jinghe slowly walked down the steps, and in a trance, he seemed to see the soldiers of the Weibei Army ten years ago, and everyone passed by him with laughter and laughter...... With a "general", Jing He looked back at the twilight, and the soldiers who died ten years ago were wronged, and they saluted him with the Weibei Army's military salute: "Weibei Army, come back to life!" Liu Xueyi's acting skills here are amazing, I saw his two big tears rolling down, I smiled miserably, and solemnly returned the salute: "Murong Jinghe, come back to life!" Such a shocking scene, people can't help but cry, cry, a whole decade, Wang Ye Taoguang and obscure, turning the tide, so that the Weibei Army can fix things, Liu Xueyi in the lens has resolute eyes, full of tears, her posture is imposing, her aura is lofty, and the whole aura is present. I, tears......

For those who would have liked a duel between the "Master of Shadow Works " and the Crown Prince of Great Yan Murong Xuan Lie.
And those who did not understand MRJH's romance with Mei Lin.

Why isn't the Shadow works orgnisation more present in the revenge?
MRJH's only revenge was Mei Lin.
The Shadow Works was built to train Mei Lin.
MRJH's plan was to fake an assassination of himself and force the Emperor to reopen the Qinzhou case. And Mei Lin was supposed to die in the process.
However, all his well plotted revenge crumbled when she told him that she owned a proof.
At that point of time MRJH had to save Mei lin at all cost.

Why the "Master of shadow works" disappeared?
This identity was created by MRJH to take revenge because the Weibei army had been wronged. He also had a lot of resentment toward his mother for not believing in his innocence and his father for accusing him.
But when Mei Lin discovered the hidden message in his mother's embroidered screen. All the resentment he felt vanished and he was finally at peace with his past.
The message from his mother conforted his heart.
And from that point of time, he was able to slowly open up to Mei Lin's love and fall completely in love with her.

As for his father, uncovering the truth would overturn the case and thus bring justice to the soldier of the Weibei army and the 100.000 dead people from Qinzhou.

Consequently, the main couple needed this time in the village to get in-sync and have a glimpse of what could be a marital life.
It was important to heal from their past and moove on.
I enjoyed all those romantic moments. And it strengthened there love.

Although their first encounter was violent and full of attraction. This toxic romance could not possibly last. The couple needed to find balance and healing to finally have their Happily Ever After.

[BTS] Lovely interview!?? | Kill Me Love Me | YOUKU (Liu Xue Yi and Wu Jin Yian) - Eng Sub
https://youtu.be/mvWU6Cnz7O0?si=S7o1KF9kUqGogeiw
PS:
This interview is great! ❤️❤️❤️

  • Alida3

I just watched it in youku app, it’s lovely. ❤️ They behave so naturally with each other! The thing with the lemon slices was hilarious, when she tasted them too in the end and said ‘don’t believe him’ ?
I wonder what they mean when they refer to western food? I hope they don’t think we all eat burgers and french fries! I live in Europe and the many countries here all have their own cuisine.

    • eliteles1  VIP

(Yes, they understand each other very well. So natural, friendly and happy.)❤️?

That part is that LXY always wanted to do a drama that had these Western elements present in office dramas. For four years he asked that he wanted to participate in this kind of drama (it seems he was predicting that with this drama he would really get noticed). That's what happened: They gave him the drama "Love at night", a drama that made him noticed (and that's why the other dramas came), which we are watching and the ones to come.
      PS:
That, about Western food, is a stereotype they have about Westerners, which probably appears a lot in this kind of modern drama they produce. The men in suits drinking their coffee, etc.

    • unbeliebubble

@eliteles1 Yes there chemistry was so sweet in the village. They don't need word to communicate. <3 <3

MarazulOx

The chemistry of the wonderful Wu Jin Yan and Liu Xue Yin is great. Another very strong CP with her, but who else thought Baron Chen's pairing with Zhao Xiao Tang was riveting? The Crown Prince longing for his General Yi, the slow attraction from her, the aphrodisiac scene, so beautifully filmed and the surrender to their feelings in the strongest defeat situation had a magic of its own. It was an impactful storyline that felt too short. Hopefully, they will be cast together again in the future.

  • RetiredProf

Yes, the Crown Prince’s love for her was portrayed so sincerely that it made me not hate the character despite all the terrible things he did. It made me think there was some good left in his heart; he was not a mere one-dimensional villain. Of course, this is a sign of excellent writing, acting, and direction which makes me value the series even more.

PS: ML is wearing the same dress in both scenes (with A Yi and in bed)

  • eliteles1  VIP

Indeed. This plot puzzle. There's a scene shown yesterday in the character special: Mei Lin bleeding, she's sitting in the chair unconscious, wearing the same black dress from the Kulum moon ritual ceremony. (I can't seem to get the order of all these scenes right.)

  • Regina de Sá

@eliteles1 Exactly! I always pay attention to clothes. They reverse the order of the scenes to confuse. I'm convinced that we'll have a HE.

    • eliteles1  VIP

Ahhhh! I hope you're right!!!! (I think that for this drama, the only thing that makes sense is HE ending).???‍?️?‍?️
Ps: I think that the first synopsis that was released (which said in the last sentence: "They can't love each other." This was just to please those who hate Jing He's character in the book. (And who in fact, would let the drama convince them that the best ending is He). Then (since they saw that the synopsis was creating problems for those who want the happy ending in the story), they changed the synopsis, and the emphasis at the end of the text no longer informs anything about whether their love is possible or not. (I think it was just to divert attention) to the possible ending of this drama: he, (which no one would expect, would admit, due to the male character being what he is (in the book).

Did I miss a scene or episode? How/why did the FL all of a sudden have to go marry the 2ML? There is no logic to any of that. They won, the bad guy is dead. Why?

    • OneAjhussi

She is not going to marry him. It is a plan to save her and protect her that ML and SML agreed on... but SML really wants he to be his woman... Little does he know... She is wild.. : D))))

Mei Lin's reason: gratitude to Yue Qin. And another reason is that Jing He made an exchange for the antidote that cures Mei Lin. This dragon plant only exists in Yue Qin's country. Although at all times Yue Qin promised Jing He that he would allow Mei Lin's free choice.
PS: And all the conflict that will happen in the next episodes, involves the fight for possession of the medicine that cures the action of the poison.
PS: But I have a question? What about Jing He? Who was also poisoned by the same poison????

The way they have played it out is the FL is leaving the ML forever, which just doesn't make any sense to me. I know gratitude and all but really? ?

Didn't he (Jing He) already take the Red whatever it's called seed antidote and it worked for him since he doesn't have the special blood or whatever the FL has that made it not curable by that? ?

      oops should be a spoiler

I think this isn't clear to any of us. But, are we forgetting that he revealed that he was the master of shadows? (The dialogues in the drama didn't make this very clear). But everything must involve this, even though she said in the carriage to Yue Qin ("He did it just to save me").

It didn't ruin my experience with the drama. It helped me, because I need to clearly understand what's going on. (And there's something in the book about it, Mei Lin's blood being different. And I didn't remember).

In order to save her from CP in the event of MJH’s plan going wrong SML named her as the goddess, the father is into that immortality spiritual stuff so if he didn’t come back with her yet she was the named one, he would have killed his son. So in her mind she is just doing it to save YQ since he did that to save her.
MJH and YQ made some deal though she is not aware of that the other herb that is needed to cure her fully seems to grow only in Xiyan, Once she is cured she can choose who she wants to be with.

Why is she wild? (I can only think of the behind-the-scenes scene where she takes Yue Qin hostage and then she jumps off the cliff and then Jing He jumps after her). I just can't fit these scenes into the plot. I don't know where they will fit into what's happening now.

  • eliteles1  VIP

@Mellowrose ?? She is determined to complete what she has to do in her hometown. And she is grateful to Yue Qin, but...she said those words to Jing He to move on without her (it was strange indeed). but...it is for a short time.

I found it so weird? She has every right to be upset especially since she didn't get to partake in the revenge but they're not letting her say or think anything so it just looks like she couldn't care less about him. I'm now thinking her taking YQ hostage has nothing to do with MRJH and all the scenes we have left with them is the same we've had for the last 4 eps, just about his love for her and not hers for him. Which is unfortunate, in the 1st half they really felt like an equal love.

  • eliteles1  VIP

But when they both throw themselves off the cliff again, there is a scene of the two of them in the lake (there they are once again a couple, without pretending to be with other people) or they separate to fulfill an obligation. I just don't know how other sad scenes of the two of them (dropped here and there) fit into videos that were released out there, are organized in an adequate sequence (I still don't understand), are pieces of the puzzle of the plot of this drama.

    Hide Spoiler

You're right we still don't know the full picture but what we got these last episodes is just confusing because there are valid reasons why she should be angry with him etc but they're not conveying that in the story or having her explain at all why she's like "move on" while she VISIBLY looks like she's still in love with him. So all it looks like is him still longing for her and doing everything to protect her etc but nothing from her either way. I was hoping after this mess we'll see her yet again show her love and save him/protect him etc and reciprocate what he's been giving for what will be 6 eps tomorrow but I'm not too sure that's happening.

Yes, the plot doesn't make it clear enough for us to understand some of the characters' thoughts.

Ahhh, you said it all here. The best scenes in this drama are when they are in this exchange of love and loyalty between them. In which one sacrifices himself for the other, and they talk to each other confessing what they are feeling in their hearts. These scenes in the drama are precious. (I would like to see more scenes with this reciprocity between them).

zhao xiaotang really suis the role of a female General, hoping to see more of her in a costume drama!

I like her character in the drama. Hope there is more about her in the final eps...

    • eliteles1  VIP

I think she'll still appear, because there's a scene in the trailer where she's dressed in warrior armor on a stretcher (and she's very injured) and says: I, Luo Mei, have fulfilled my mission. (If I didn't miss any of the episodes and I'm not mistaken, this scene hasn't happened yet). And I remember the promise she made to her father when she was a teenager (that she wouldn't give up on being a general).

@eliteles1 I though Jing He cured himself. But obviously he didn't because the white dragon whisker seeds have to follow a certain process to cure the poison and Jing He did not follow that process.
Consequently, Jing He is still poisoned with Moxum poison, but he is at an early stage of poisoning.

Ummmmm! I was in doubt about this, because in the book both of them need to be cured of the poison. (What happens in the book is that to cure Jing He it is necessary to sacrifice Mei Lin once again, who is in her blood). But apparently, in the drama, (as you just explained) all the healing involves the dragon seeds. (And he will still participate in a war using his armor. He needs to be cured).

  • jabofi

@unbeliebubble oh ok, I thought he was cured with the red seed whatever it's called. So he isn't cured either? Oh boy, still trying to figure out how we're going to get a happy ending here! ?

    • unbeliebubble

@jabofi He is not cured. He tried to find another cure with leeches but they all died. So he has to ask Murong Xuanlie for the white dragon whisker seed in exchange of his life. If Mei Lin can be cured, it will be before him.

      unbeliebubble

@eliteles1 yes. he has to be cured to go to war. The seed must sprout ( if I remember well) and it takes a month. If he could take to antidote while she does, that would be great.
