What I'm confused about is the following...
In MyDramaList, all titles added belong to one of four different types:
1) Dramas - 13902 different titles currently
https://mydramalist.com/search?adv=titles&ty=68&so=relevance
2) Drama Special - 2467 different titles currently
https://mydramalist.com/search?adv=titles&ty=83&so=relevance
3) Movies - 19821 different titles currently
https://mydramalist.com/search?adv=titles&ty=77&so=relevance
4) TV Shows - 2272 different titles currently
https://mydramalist.com/search?adv=titles&ty=86&so=relevance
If you see at the top left in any Title page, you can see first thing in Details, in which of the 4 types this title belongs, for example https://mydramalist.com/1-crows-zero
Details
- Movie: Crows Zero
-
- Country: Japan
-
So this is obviously a movie, not a drama, drama special or tv show.
...
But then we have for example https://mydramalist.com/25565-running-man
Details
- TV Show: Running Man
-
- Country: South Korea
BUT this is also tagged as a Variety Show
implying "Variety Shows" are just a subgroup of some titles belonging to the broader group of Type="TV Shows" as defined in MDL!!!
BUT!!
Also in MyDramaList there's a whole page, accessible from the top bar EXPLORE>Variety Shows, that just shows all titles in MDL belonging to the Type="TV Shows" https://mydramalist.com/shows/variety
I was just waiting for a clear answer of one of the ops, but instead the answers I got until now are referring to just some categories, aka SUBGROUP of SOME titles that are defined as "TV Shows" according to MDL database.
:'(
So, I'm asking again, grasping on some hope that maybe I made myself clear this time:
Are all titles in mydramalist belonging to the 4th type of titles, TV Shows, eligible for the 2020 Watch Challenge "Watch a season of a variety show", or are just some subtypes of them eligible?
