I can't find the amount of reviews a drama has (for the more than 50 reviews challange).
Can someone tell me where I can find it?

It at the bottom of the drama page before the comments section

 Trust:

You replied the same time I found it hahaha. I already deleted my comment, but thanks for replying!  Perhaps other challangers can benefit from this as well. :D

I try to be fast because o know I hate waiting when I have a question

Splash, Splash Love was initially listed as a Drama Special when I started watching it, but now is listed as a miniseries.  Can I just go with what it was listed as originally?

hmm thats a good question  If you dont watch any other DS for the whole year you can use it.

Thanks!!  I've been having trouble finding Drama Specials that are on legal sites and this one is.  I was pretty excited when I saw how it was originally listed.

KBS has a lot of their drama specials (as well as other content-I'll probably use something from there for the "variety" requirement since I don't know much about most variety shows but can't handle the ones that are over 50 hours of content a year, several of them over 100, oof... anyway, it's legal and easy to access (unless there are some restrictions for somewhere in particular) on their YouTube channel(s)-"KBS World TV" is, I believe, the main one. I just watched what could be counted as a drama special or just a webseries spinoff, Vroom Vroom Pegasus Market (1.5-2hrs total, 4 installments as a post-main show story extension) on tvN D which seems to have smaller webseries-length/smaller cast-crew-budget stuff from tvN. They may end up putting the tvN Drama Stage stuff there. I occasionally stumble upon SBS DS's (which are more like between-series quick fillers instead of the seasonal regularly scheduled ones.

PS-the non-drama special details to add: navigating their playlists, variety show options...

KBS's YT page= https://www.youtube.com/user/kbsworld

ALL the playlists=https://www.youtube.com/user/kbsworld/playlists

Kind of confusing, but WITHIN the playlists you'll see the KBS-CREATED PLAYLISTS=

https://www.youtube.com/user/kbsworld/playlists?view=1&sort=dd&shelf_id=0

That's where I got the drama specials and where various programs are that aren't full length dramas (those are licensed through kocowa etc)...

VARIETY SHOWS are in "KBS Entertainment" ie Hello Counselor (all of 2018 is available), "Somevival" Survival 1+1 in some countries, Season 4 of Happy Together in some countries etc...  https://www.youtube.com/user/kbsworld/playlists?view=50&sort=dd&shelf_id=17

Lastly... "Entertainment Shows" don't have a lot that qualifies and some of the lists are out of order (and all seem to be newest-first, the opposite of how we tend to watch when making a playlist/marathoning, oh well?), BUT I would think Yu Huiyeol's Sketchbook and Immortal Songs certainly qualify for that one box. Keep in mind, a year's worth of Sketchbook or Immortal amounts to 65 hours of mostly live music with interviews between on Sketchbook, same length not sure the content breakdown on Immortal. (Sketchbook's by far my favorite music program FWIW-artists seem to be able to do their best in that place for some reason, and he brings out quirky tendencies of guests and gets them to be open and have fun, almost definitely because he's talented and listens very carefully/considerately to everything they play as a musician himself.)

There are 2 easy options for Yu's Sketchbook via this YT channel (I know KBS has another, but I am not subbed to the other): 2014 is complete, and 2015 starts in March BUT goes all the way to March 2016 (2016, '17, '18 are incomplete and 2019 aren't in a playlist though I've seen episodes lurking around if you're sticking to all legal ways of accessing which makes this a little harder, I'm guessing. Anyway, just an option; this isn't dictatorial (or wasn't-correct me if we'll get our hands ruler-smacked for being creative lol!) so I imagine ANY total year of content watched in a year, even if there are 12 missing from one and you grab 12 from another, is fine since it's crazy hard to keep up with as is! [I am gonna be a little more gentle on myself and find Lee Dong Wook Wants to Talk somewhere and probably also watch Jung Hae Il's Travel Diary there on KBS World if it counts!]

There's also Immortal Songs 2- to get a year, you can go July 6, 2013 (earliest in the list)-July 5, 2014 or they have all of 2014, 2015, 2016&17 essentially (occasionally they remove one-you can find or replace it w/another to get a year's worth).

Thank you to @ElBee for all the great info!!! :)

I have a question about drama and movie length. Is there a minimum episode minute duration/number of episodes or movie running time for the challenges?

only if specified in the challenge line

Does it count if I watch something again?

 DivineGoddess:

Does it count if I watch something again?

Can I re-watch titles instead of watching new dramas/movies?

  • Yes, but remember a title can only be used once in the challenge.

I want to thanks @Hessa for holding this challenge for many years and I wish all the best to the new hosts @Old Anime Lady @kdoramalama and @Dramaworld

This year I don't have time for this.....  why you put such cute banners!?  Well I sing-up and got the banner, then I will see what I will be able to do.

 My favourite scene:

Can i put Boom Shakalaka(2016) here?

I have completed it today

  • ( ) Watch a complete season of a variety show (it must be a season you have not yet watched before)

have you watch it before 2020? then no. If you watch it in 2020 then yes

 dramaworld:
variety shows are defined as such all around mdl. you can use this link too.

To be honest, I still don't quite understand what constitutes a variety show. This link you gave me just has ALL tv-shows, so does this mean that all things in MDL defined as "TV-shows" are also variety shows? Sorry if this is a stupid question..
