Purpose of the BL Drama Lovers Club and Membership Details
My main purpose behind creating this club was to spread the love for BL dramas, use it as a news source and outlet for the BL community, have it as a discussion space for BL dramas, and to make new friends with those who have a similar interest as you.
There are really NO guidelines to become a member of this club. All I ask is that you express an intention to be in the club in the comments and you’re automatically added. You are not required to be an active participant of this club at all or do any club activities. You can just be a lurker if that’s your vibe too. There is no judgement here.
Please remain kind and courteous to one another. Hate speech and online bullying will not be tolerated either. It would beneficial if this club would remain a positive one so that everyone feels safe and welcome to interact with one another.
What are BL Dramas?
BL (short for Boys Love) is a phenomenon of Asian dramas that originates from Yaoi (a genre of fictional media that features homoerotic relationships between male characters). The BL genre was introduced in the 80s and it is mainly targeted towards women and made by women, but it has more steadily attracted a huge male audience as well as being produced by men. The term BL Drama has also evolved to refer to male/male romantic relationships in fictional media. BL Dramas have become increasingly popular among diverse audiences worldwide.
