Hi everyone!

I'm Susu. Unfortunately and uninterestingly there isn't any exciting story behind that name - I just came up with it in a hurry because I wanted to join MDL fast :D. Still, I quite like it: it's short, simple and easy to remember.

I'm a newbie when it comes to forum conversations and being an active member of an online community. I've had many different addictions before (Lord of the Rings and Pride & Prejudice, for instance) and I've tried to join some online communities but somewhow I never managed to become an active member. I didn't have enough courage to start a conversation with people who seemed to know each other for a long time already, I felt like an outsider.

However, when I found MDL and realized that it had just been established I decided that I should finally try to become an active member of an online community, not just a bystander. And since I feel that this drama addiction isn't going away anytime soon (there are always new dramas to watch!) I think MDL is just for me. And everyone seems to be very friendly so far. So I'll try my best to take part in conversations and to contribute to this site as well.

Sorry about those two previous paragraphs - I know it might be unnecessary to explain that much but I just wanted to excuse myself if I'll do something stupid in the future. :P Because I don't want to bore you to death (if I already haven't) with my personal history, I'm just going to list a few more random things about me and then end this longish self-introduction.

I am someone who...
- likes to write in a wordy way (shocking, right?) - this can be bothersome when combined with the tendency to massive spell-checking, self-censure and editing before posting anything (fortunately I type quite fast :P)
- would have a very difficult time if she had to live without chocolate
- would like to learn all the languages in the world
- loves maples the most out of all trees.

That's about it. Please comment and/or send friend requests if you feel like that. :)

Nice to meet you Susu :D Your introduction didn't bore me even a tiny bit, it's quite interesting actually! ^^,
I love Pride and Prejudice too! and other books like Persuasion, Jane Eyre, Sophie's World, etc... Just saying! :p
*falls asleep*
*wakes up*
VERY interesting intro
Joking aside, welcome to MDL(again) and hope you have a great time here :P

Hello^^
Nice to meet you here!))
I need to say that your 3 descriptions fully describe me as well - maple trees are just not the only trees I like :D
and I also like Jane Austen))
Hello again Susu.
Your introduction was far from boring: I for one enjoy well written, articulate posts. Unfortunately English is not my mother tongue, therefore please don't turn up your nose at my random mistakes.
And here you have another Jane Austen's hardcore fan, as well as Tolkien's. :)
I truly hope you're going to have a very active role in this forum from now on.
Hello Susu!

Welcome to The Castle in the Skye....ehm..to MDL.
İ know its really hard to get into a community that is ancient. Hard to bust the walls.

Your intro is interesting. İ'm also and Tolkien-fan.
Pride and Prejudice is my good mood book/movie. Everytime İ'm down İ'll watch it.
LOL İ'm writing to much!

Welcome again and nice to meet you.
Hi Dojemi! Nice to meet you. It's good to know there are others who appreciate drama from 19th century England as well. :) I love the books and the numerous film/mini series adaptations aren't bad either.

Skye... *shakes head disaprovingly* But since you seem to be a rather nice guy, I forgive you this time. :D And thank you(again), glad to be here!

Leonella, nice to meet you too! Good good, another Janeite and chocoholic, I'm sure we'll get along very well. :)

Rita: English isn't my mother tongue either so don't worry! And I'm usually severe only to my own mistakes, I don't go around pointing out other people's errors. :P Besides, I've enjoyed reading your clever reviews and as far as I can judge, your English is excellent. Third Janeite, great!

Hi Akai! Thanks for stopping by to listen to my introduction. Pride and Prejudice really sets you on the good mood, that's true! And you weren't writing too much - look back at my introduction and remember who you are talking to! ;)
I had no idea there were so many Austen fans on here!!! Count me in.

The chocolate thing though.....was kind of a given. I mean who doesn't love chocolate. Wait no...don't answer that.

Anyways Susu, it's nice to meet you! I know how you feel about joining established forums. I tried a few times but that feeling of being an outsider doesn't go away. Also, out of curiosity, which Pride and Prejudice film/movie adaptation is your favorite???

ROFL hahahaha ... that was good one
.. i agree with fellow addicts here that it was really interesting.. :) i enjoy reading everyone's intro .. it is so0o much fun knowing a little or more about everyone.. Nice to meet you Susu .. "Susu" is an actual nick name of a friend of mine .. :) and i always yell her name out like SUUUUUUUUUUuuuuuSuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu .. :D ... English is not my frist lang as well .. so dont mind all the mistakes i make .. i usually dont pay attention on sentence structures, grammar and all .. whatever i type is how i speak :S ... hehe .. now i sound like a student giving excuses to he teacher.. hehe ..
Haha Biya. Even though I don't know what you look like, I have an image of you yelling out Suuuuusuuuuuu from across a crowded room. And then everyone turns to stare at you.....

Like a comedic scene from a movie.
hahaha ... you dont know how i look like but you already know what i can do0o .. :D ..
Hmmh, I've got a feeling that my introduction was a bit misleading. Everyone seems to picture me as a stern and stiff person with my hair drawn into a tight bun, glaring at you through my retangular, simple glasses and giving punishments with a pointer stick whenever someone misplaces a comma...

Brownsugar already started to give excuses to me... Oh dear. My only comfort is that the name "Susu" doesn't really fit that image above - so please, feel free to scream Suuuuuuuuuuuuuusuuuuuuuuuu!!!! from the otherside of the room, my dears! :)

As for my favorite Pride and Prejudice adaptation, Maryam, I think the BBC's 1995 one cannot be beaten, you can watch it thousand times and it's always amazing and entertaining. It's near perfect. But I think that the 2005 film adaptation had is merits as well. I especially loved the soundtrack and although Keira Knightley isn't my favorite actress, I'm okay with her. And Matthew McFadyen added a lot to that movie. ;)
hahaha ... i just feel guilty that my English sucks.. so when i was writing ur reply i just kept writing... but i never imagined you to be however you describbed yourself in para 1 :D .. hehe ... oh i love screaming :$ ...
