Looking for Romance Japanese Film about and older journalist and his intern

I saw it on a flight a couple years back. It was about an older journalist whose partner had died and then his company makes him take on an intern who is a younger girl. They work for a gossip magazine and go spy on celebrities together. It's a tragic love story that I enjoyed but have been unable to find it. Does anyone know?
