LOL, that happened to me recently. I was thinking maybe I should remove one of the dramas from my dropped list. My reasoning was if I was able to watch Rooftop Prince, I should be able to finish some of the others. But then I came upon a review and the person reminded me of why I dropped it. So, it's never coming out of that list....lol

if you hate it by episode 5 you will just get more angry as it progresses. I loved it from the beginning. The heightened cheesiness was fun, and it did eventually make me tear up. The over the top style isn't for everyone though. I've loathed quite a few dramas that other people loved. It's never been worth finishing them.

Annyeong! Whew! Lots of comments. Sorry I couldn't read them all. I came back from a short vacation five days ago and was really moping around the RP's ending.

Anyways, I enjoyed the whole series even if there were plot holes. I can't say I liked the ending--the writer gave a sketchy ending and left the task of interpreting to its viewers. The ending really had an impact on me. Just some observation on some points:

1) We already knew about Joseon's Taemu/Muchang being a given but honestly speaking, the conflict didn't lie there anymore. For me, Bu Yong's sacrifice was the centerpoint of the story and how it propelled Lee Gak 300 years in the future. (Big plot hole: Bu Yong could have gotten the damned plate of fruit and threw them all away. And then the damn girl wouldn't have gotten my crying over her dying for her unrequited love)

2) Man Bo was the one who suggested that the food that was poisoned was the persimmons in Ep 1. They didn't examine the said persimmons because Chi San already came rushing in to say there was a witness and they made the jump that night.

3) And I don't see why mush stuff can't be appreciated here when QIHM uses it to their advantage whereas RP didn't need to bank on it.

Story doesn't merit a 10 but I love the parallels and the writer has made me unwillingly accept his take on reincarnation. Acting is a 10 in my book. Cried a bucketful of tears at the end. I had hoped for something lighter but the danged writer screwed with my head again. Auugh!

it just i don't really like keep following an overrated drama thread..
it makes me hate the drama more if i read more positive comments..LOL

It may sound weird... but I'm the same! LOL

I just try to convince myself that just as I love a drama some may hate it. And I understand them...a little....lol

Make the three of us, then. It's a weird feeling, and one I'm not proud of at all, but I'd lie if I said I don't feel the same. When I dislike something - the same happens with actors, music, books - hearing others praise it wakes up the worst side of me and I can't refrain from bashing the thing even more, let alone dislike it even more.
Black... ehm, green on white, it truly sounds mean... :p

Just sad. And this is even Rooftop Prince's thread. I wonder if people who like this drama refrain from posting here because it's really discouraging. I try to keep off threads where I can't say something positive about a drama. Makes no sense irking people. I like MDL because it's a tight community but really I think bashing RP makes people who liked it feel so ashamed for liking something you can't. Respect you all. Not looking for a fight either. Thanks for hearing me out.

You know I liked Rooftop Prince, maybe I´ll never re-watch it, but still.

I understand how you feel about the last few posts.
As much as I like the girls, but next time I´m gonna step on their dramas, too! :p

ups..sorry..didn't mean to offense someone or some group or whoever..
i just saying that i agree with noir, but won't post a lot about it because i don't want to hate the drama more.. :P

and of course no,,not liking something doesn't mean seeing people who like it weird or something..
i often like something that most people hate..and i'm not ashamed at all..
it's about principal..and taste..it will be weird if all people think the same.. :)

and honestly, i don't think i'm bashing RP..lol..sorry if i'm ignorant, but that's what do i think.. :P

I'm not trying to irk anyone, I'm just expressing my opinion (since I did fully watch it) and I make no apologies for it. Plus, there's more people in this thread who loved and gush over it than those of us, around three who are open about it(?), who thought it could have been a lot better. So, there's no need to feel ashamed for liking something, ever. People like what they like and don't like what they don't like. :)

Same here, I've liked dramas people have bashed and I still love them to bits. And I don't feel ashamed of it...lol

It would be weird that everyone loved the same dramas all the time.

I love to bash dramas Rita likes and as you all said I like my dramas even if I´m the only one liking it.
