Trailer:

From the beginning, I've been interested in this drama, not for the sports factor, but for the "struggle" factor of fighting against society to achieve something.

What do you all think of Basketball?
This didn't have a thread? What the...
It didn't, but I made it, lol. I searched all the forums and I didn't know why this had been skipped.
The first 2 eps weren't bad. I liked it.
I will watch this one ! First because I love basketball ^^ and also because I want to know more about this period of the Korean history.
I'm really enjoying where this show is going! *I especially love how they've set up Kang San v. Min Chi Ho. I mean, it's going to be hard for either to control their feelings while Chi Ho is trying to put on a good impression for Byeo Ri. I'm interested in seeing what this drama will do with both the relations between Kang San and Chi Ho and Chi Ho and Byeo Ri.*
Yay, It has a thread at last, :D I'm liking this one so far, can't wait for the face-off on the practice game! I like the main couple as it is, and I ship Min Chi Ho to Byeo-ri as well!

I can't wait for it either! I really like that dynamic between the male leads...and I ship that too, but further down the road in the drama (when they go forward a few years).

I like basketball, so I hope there are more basketball games and the story will explore more on Kang San's struggle to be a professional player while on that difficult period. Too bad, Min Chi Ho's interest is on different person as of now, and he sees Byeo-ri as a kid! Tsk, He is also childlike on some ways so yeah, I think it's way too long for it to happen.

Is it too much to hope that Byeo-ri will get a makeover (hey it's a Kdrama it could happen!) and he'll change his mind about seeing her just as a kid??

I'm kind of not liking the main girl. I guess it's not the actresses fault, but I just don't see how a girl in 1939 occupied Korea could NOT be aware of censorship policies -_-

My god though, but the main guys are fine! In acting.. And looks...

I don't think it's too much to hope. I mean, she has her ' Unni' who might do that, but I'd almost like for her to rise in society on her own and it happen that way, but that's wishful thinking in kdramaland.

I agree. She's a bit naive for someone whose been writing for a while; she ought to know there were policies in place to stop the resistance.

Yes! They are fine; I like Do Ji-Han more because he's so rough around the edges; I hope that Kang San doesn't lose that as he advances because it's alluring as hell.

I think it's still possible but in the long run perhaps., That untidy look on her is just right for her character (she lives alone and tries her best to survive, she didn't have time to care what she looked like) and if we consider her present status on that society. If Shin Young too, will continue to help her, maybe her appearance will change. If only someone will adopt her. I wish! haha!

Yeah, she's been a journalist who even studied abroad and it's been a while she had been working and yet she's unaware of that. On a side note, I find her character somewhat lacking. Except for the romance of course, I mean it's easy for me to sympathize and care more on Byeo-ri than her.

Yessss! They look good and act good too! Well, I like Do Ji Han since IoM.... hehehe
I loved episode 5. The way the basketball game was shot was amazing! It was gritty and brutal, yet elegant, if you know what I mean. The drama's making it hard to choose: Kang San or Chi Ho. I like them both, and while I still am firmly in Kang San's camp, Chi Ho is making quite the impression on me. Other than that, I hate evil daddy. He's an idiot.
I saw ep 1 the other day & this drama has a lot of promise :)

Yay! I'm glad you think so. I really feel it's going to be a sleeper hit, once people watch it. :)
