I will definitely watch this drama.
I'm not a fan of Han Ga In so like most people, I'm watching this purely for Kim Soo Hyun. And partially Jung Il Woo too, since I loved him in 49 Days.
I just read an article about this on DB and then re-read the synopsis. It premiers in less than a week and a half and I'm looking more forward to this now. The cast intrigues me. I'm trying to think if I've watch Han Ga In in anything and I don't think I have. She's cute. Jung Il Woo being back on screen immediately following FBRS is a huge plus for me again, Kim Soo Hyun was such a scene stealer in Dream High. I will watch this.
Yoon Seung-ah cast as badass warrior in Moon/Sun drama
http://www.dramabeans.com/2011/12/yoon-seung-ah-cast-as-badass-warrior-in-moonsun-drama/

Yoon Seung-ah (Playful Kiss, All My Love) joins the youthful cast of buzz fantasy-sageuk project The Moon That Embraces the Sun, where she’ll play a badass swordswoman who guards the shaman/heroine played by Han Ga-in.
Yoon has been training for her role, as you can see below, and expressed her excitement to play this character: “Seol is extremely appealing. She’s a woman, but she’s also really tough and thinks of others before herself. I’ve never played a role like this, so I’m so excited for it. I’m really looking forward to it. The action parts aren’t easy, but I’m working hard to become an impressive warrior.”
Meanwhile, the cast held its first script rehearsal on December 25; below are the three main leads at the table read. Kim Soo-hyun plays the crown prince and later (fictional) Joseon king, Lee Hwon. Han Ga-in is his love interest, who happens to have been Hwon’s first love but has since lost her memory, now living as a shaman. Jung Il-woo plays the king’s older brother who purposely affects the persona of an irresponsible playboy to discourage political threats from using him as a means to challenge the king.
Veteran drama and film actress Kim Young-ae, meanwhile, plays the cold and sharp queen dowager, pictured below in black.

Thanks for the posters, going to add one to the first page (:

I am looking forward to it - it's going to be my first historical drama, but who can deny Jung Il Woo and Kim Soo Hyun? :)

The Sun that Misses the Moon – Lee Hwon
I am the Crown Prince of this country.
Charming, bright, and approachable, a young crown prince who does not yet know the calm and viciousness required to rule a nation. He is always smiling before “the potentially dangerous” Prince Yang Myung. He learned from Woon the joys of education and the duties of being a sovereign. Through Yeon Woo, he understands the vast world he will one day rule, and experiences the heart pumping brush with first love. Just as Yeon Woo is about to become the Crown Princess, thinking that his love with her will come to fruition, she suddenly dies. Like that, a distant relative Bo Kyung becomes his Crown Princess. Now, he is no longer the innocent young Crown Prince.

I am now the King of this country.
Aloof and arrogant, he rarely smiles. None of his palace consorts have ever received his favor. At the urging of his palace medical staff, during his time of illness, he goes to meet the shaman living in the forest. It is there he meets Wol….

The Moon that Embraces the Sun – Yeon Woo
Yeon Woo, the name given by her father, has the connotation of the soft rain falling through the fog. But this girl’s personality is much more like a strong rain that falls in bright sunlight with abandon, giving a clear and refreshing sensation. Has the bright mind and carefree personality as the daughter of the scholar of the royal learning academy. By chance she enters the palace and meets Hwon. She cannot contain the excitement in her heart, this feeling of first love. She thought she would live happily ever after as Hwon’s Crown Princess, but then Heon Woo falls massively ill with an unknown illness. Even though the wedding date is near, she is sent home. In her father’s embrace, Heon Woo quietly closes her eyes.

Now….
Her name is Wol, a shaman who will receive all the ills. This woman has no memory of what happened to her eight years ago…..

The Light that is Painfully Separated from the Sun – Prince Yang Myung
He’s the son of Royal Concubine Park [Hwon is the son of Queen Han] and the next in line for the throne. Carefree and cheerful, he’s all smiles on the surface, but his soul longs to be free. To gain his freedom, he’s had to use considerable courage. He’s the next in line for the throne, because he’s so agreeable, there are always supporters lining up in his residence. During this time, he’s separated from Hwon to be raised apart. His father treats him with coldness, so he spends his time at the royal learning academy and receives comfort there. It is there that he meets Yeon Woo, and thus begins his longing for her. When that women chooses to become the Crown Princess, and subsequently dies, he falls into a despair.

Much time has passed until now…..
When fate lets him and Hwon meet up again……
The Moon That Embraces the Sun drew an impressive 18% premiere rating, while Take Care of Us, Captain brought home a 9.2% on SBS, and Wild Romance a 7.1% over on KBS.

Wow ! And that's only for the first episode.
Those posters look awesome and that is A very, very, very good premiere rating. I hope they can maintain it.
