yea i thought in bad guy she totally killed that character. she should have been far more sympathetic but she comes across as a materialistic brown noser and IMO a little cruel.

i'll watch it too, hope it doesnt mess it up Dx
That is a little strange. I would be curious to see how they compress that to one 60 min ep. I really liked this drama but it didn't end up being a favorite.
badly. i've seen them dothis before, it's really just a highlight reel.
I liked it :D It's different from the other historical dramas. It was very refreshing :D The children actors were amazing!!
I don't know if someone already posted TMETS OST, but this one really has a beautiful music. I wanna share too! :)

I have watched a ton of historical dramas and the early episodes with the child actors are oftentimes the best part of the drama. Then thruout the drama the flashbacks to the child actors early scenes is so poignant it really adds to the depth of the drama. I like to go back to some of my favorites [dong yi, yi san, etc] and just watch the early episodes.
I just finished watching this and read all of this thread whilst watching it. I agree with all the comments on here, this drama was very good. I recently discovered Saeguks and I am fascinated by the costumes, the settings and the great OST. The story was also very involving and although I liked the shamans I would have preferred a little less magic in it so as to make it more believable. The actors were all very good, the king (in both versions) was the best for me and I agree that the queen (in the older version) lacked facial expressions which made the most 'romantic' moments a little less intense. This is why I am giving it a 9 instead of a 10 as otherwise it would have been perfect. I will certainly rewatch it and I am glad I have discovered another great Korean actor to keep a good eye on. ;-)
