I'm a sucker for melodramas, do you guys have some VERY sad dramas? Bonus with excellent OSTs so that whenever I finished watching the drama, I could listen to their OSTs and cry again.

Its okay to not be okay

Oh Yesss, I have some for you. I will also add my favorite song from the drama, but pay attention that some of the MVs have scenes from the dramas, so just search a youtube version without the MV if you don't want any spoilers^^

Angel's Last Mission: Love - Chai (Oh My Angel)

Come and Hug Me - Yang Yoseop (Cries Without Sound)

Goblin - Crush (Beautiful) I have to mention that this drama has a wonderful OST all around

Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo - Epik High ft. Lee Hi (Can You Hear My Heart)

Secret - Navi ft. Kebee of Eluphant (Incurable Disease) one of my favorites melodramas

That Winter, The Wind Blows - Yesung (Gray Paper)

The Innocent Man - Xiah Junsu (Love is like a Snowflake)

The Princess's Man - Lee Young Hyun (Goodbye My Love)

Hope you will find something to enjoy!

Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo also has great songs.

There are so many great soundtracks for asian drama, especially kdrama, and also cdrama.

Also wanted to add:

From Hi By Mama, THE most tearjerker dramas i've watched, very sad but beautiful dramas about a mother that dies in an accident while pregnant, the baby is saved. She becomes as ghost and several years later  in her anguish she gets very angry with God, and then she becomes alive again and tries to find a way into her young daughters life.

Its okay to not be okay

Been keeping to watch this, thank you!

  • Twenty-Five Twenty-One (great OST)
  • Goblin (great OST
  • Hotel del Luna (great OST)
  • My Country: The New Age (for me the OST wasn't memorable but it's the drama that made me cry the most)
  • 1 liter of tears
  • Just between lovers
  • Mother

Here are some examples of (historical) dramas that made me cry really hard. Somehow   here   k-dramas  are a little less about romance , but  with strong  friendship and family themes and I found the  OST more melodramatic.  On the other hand c-dramas here have more romance and the OST is more nostalgic.

k-dramas:

Worrier Baek Dong Soo ( yes,   after watching this  I can cry just by hearing the music)

 Chuno

 Mr Sunshine

My Country New Age ( OST is a bit heavy )

c-dramas

 Bloody Romance

 Goodbye my Princess

 Royal Nirvana

Already watched Mother and 1 Litre to Tears (this is the only drama that made me cry from the first episode ugh I wish I could rewatch it?) and I'm on episode 2 of Just Between Lovers. Thanks a lot for the recommendations, have a great day!
