Choi Min Woo, known professionally as Choi Sung Won, is a South Korean actor. He graduated from Seonjeong High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Theater & Film from Kookmin University.

He won the Gold Award at the 2009 National University Student Musical Festival and was seen as a promising star in musical theater. After graduating, he began using his current stage name after failing several auditions. He made his debut in 2007 with a role in the musical "Oh! While You Were Sleeping".

However, in May 2016, he had to drop out of the JTBC series "Mirror of the Witch" after being diagnosed with acute leukemia. The disease was caught fairly early and was declared leukemia-free in December of that year. He returned to stage plays and some work on TV but, his condition returned in November 2020 and required a steady transfusion of platelets so, fellow actors began spreading the word online. He came back to acting in early 2022.
