Guess she was one of those "rare" privileged cases. She was under the impression that the odds were in her favor, and flu had other plans

Omegaverse is the sad result of what happens when you take the gay out of a gay romance, straightwash it, slap a BL tag on it, and call it a day. It's a ploy to package "straightness" and gender conformity as progressive storytelling

"Omegas are men," they aren't. Omegas are man-looking women, or caricatures of women, complete with a non-human female heat cycle and a human female ability to get pregnant. There’s nothing male about their femaleness

Taiwan and Mainland China had the chance to give me a raw, uncensored BL masterpiece. They instead gave me omegaverse, sanitized, straightwashed, and painfully safe for the homophobic majority to consume. They let me down

pitbabe was omegaverse
"Mpreg" in BL ... That’s where it stops being BL. Omegas are women in men’s clothing, and "mpreg" is female pregnancy trying to pass as something else to indulge the ignorant masses

Finally the first bl omegaverse will happen. If you don't like it, don't watch it.
Not a BL, and if you don't like the anti-omegaverse comments, don't read them

"... real BL omegaverse"

If "BL" were a code word for "straightness playing dress-up and pretending to be gay," then "real BL omegaverse" would be fitting. But BL deserves better than that

"An introduction is needed"

Omegaverse has infiltrated more minds than it should have. It's a plague upon fiction and there’s no need to make it a pandemic. Keep it locked down

Omegaverse isn’t gay or BL. CCP will side-eye it and say, "that’s not the real thing"

Omegaverse, while perhaps TQ+, isn't gay/LGB. The tags are wrong

Weird, annoying commenters unable to distinguish reality from fiction insist on labeling us as weird and annoying for wishing the adaptation had remained true to its source material. Their "reason?" An older man's soul inside a minor's body falling in love with another minor is illegal and immoral, because, of course, real-world laws and morals concerning minor-adult relationships apply to fictional metaphysics. At this rate, they’ll be asking ghosts to pay taxes, lobbying for contract law protections for enchanted talking furniture, and prosecuting vampires for statutory offenses

If legalities and morality were their concern, the concept of transplanting an older man's soul into a teenager's body would've raised their red flags before the romance did. The older man's soul gaining access to a body below the age of consent is a spiritual form of violation and identity theft. The teenager's body, a symbol of youth and innocence, is tarnished by the older man's soul, symbolizing the loss of innocence

The teenager's soul is displaced. He's robbed of the right to his own body and life trajectory twice. One, he was bullied past the breaking point for his sexuality (he's gay in the source material) and driven to suicide. Two, his body became an instrument for another soul's continued existence. The merging of two different life stages generates an inappropriate, unsettling dissonance between the physical and spiritual dimensions of the characters. I wouldn't have written such a story, or adapted it

Soul-swapping makes me uncomfortable, and it wasn't censored. Other people's discomfort over the difference in soul ages shouldn't have been a valid reason to censor the source material's romance either. The adaptation had the perfect opportunity to address the soul age difference responsibly. It could've saved the romance by relocating it to a university setting or the male characters' university years, and didn't do that. It instead clung to the teenage setting to capitalize on the source material's appeal while dodging responsibility for its "uncomfortable" implications. We should blame the production team's laziness

I don't know if you're aware but "faggot" is an insult. You could have just used "gay'" instead. That titbit aside,…
These homophobes don't think with their brains, they "think" with their private parts and preconceived biases/ignorance

You should look up the meaning of "liberty of speech" in the dictionary..
"... i d blame the screenwriters who keep shoving this lgbtq propaganda down our throat"

The "straight" agenda took up all the screen time and has been shoved down everyone's throats for decades. A little gay won't bite

"... i m not promoting hate with my speech if that s what u r so concerned about"
"... i dont know if u r aware but i called that character a faggot because my intention was to insult him"

The F-slur has a history of promoting discrimination. That's what you've been using to insult gay people. You're not cool or edgy. You're pathetic, and your words contribute to the climate of fear that pressures gay people to hide their identities

"People were endangered because his brain is in his groin"

If "straight" identifying people spent as much time zipping up their pants and closing their legs as they did blaming gay people for the problems of their societies, we'd have fewer wars over women or land, broken families, and neglected children

Stop thinking with your private parts/multiplying and we'll have world peace in a generation or two. Peace and quiet

Humans, with their insatiable appetite for resources and disregard for the environment or other species, should come to an end. When they do, the Earth will breathe a sigh of relief!

"The only reason it's thought of as easy and a waste of good talent is basically misogyny"

Misogyny plays a role, I'm not disagreeing with that, but it's not the only factor. Genre preferences and individual attitudes towards relationships contribute to how the "romance" genre is perceived

It's not out of misogyny that I lean towards non-romantic genres. I appreciate romance involving same-sex couples, for example, and find joy in watching women experience happiness with one another

Then are you not taking action, mystery thrillers seriously because the creators and target audience are mostly men?

Other genres aren't less emotionally demanding. In action films, actors need a great deal of skill and emotional range to depict fear, anger, determination, and adrenaline. In mystery films, actors need to convey a sense of mystery, suspicion, and intrigue without giving away too much

"I've watched silce of life romance and even romcoms that have done 10 times a better job ..."

My experience has been the opposite. Action, mystery thrillers are the ones delivering powerful messages about society, morality, and the human condition, exposing corruption in government or law enforcement agencies, the fragility of life, the negative or positive consequences of war, or the blurred lines between good and evil

I’m well acquainted with "Fight the New Drug." They do an excellent job of bringing the dangers of "porn" addiction to the forefront of the public consciousness

"Porn" isn't the innocent or harmless hobby it's made out to be. It's a destructive force that threatens to distort our perceptions of gender roles, sexuality, and relationships. It reduces people to disposable flesh and blood puppets, sexism to scripts, and human-human connection to a perfunctory, mechanical act

It's understandable why someone would be angry or upset about this destructive force being publicly displayed and shared

he mistakenly uploaded cover of parody porn version of Squid Game that is all over social media with NOn Koreans…
Distributing "porn" is a criminal offense in South Korea. Did he commit a crime? Maybe, maybe not. The legality of his actions aren't at the forefront of the issue, the (im)morality of them is. Rape "porn," to some of us, crosses a line into immorality

I won't shame your decision to continue supporting him. Similarly, I ask that you refrain from shaming those who've decided to stop supporting him
