And who carries ointment around like itās a normal everyday essential?! And honestly, Iāve always liked doing it in the office. Thereās just something about the thrill of it, and this series definitely nailed that vibe š
And then the āYou dirty old men!ā line took me OUT š¹ I was laughing so hard!

This is simply the one that has stood out to me the most in 2026 so far. I said The Prosecutor's Proposal is for 2026.
But youāre right. Before you edited your comment, I saw you mentioned Love in the Big City, and that was the best Korean BL series I watched back in 2024. I gave it a 10/10. I still remember the director releasing all 8 episodes on the same day. I binged them all because the director was afraid the series might get banned, so instead of releasing it weekly, they decided to drop everything at once. It felt so realistic and definitely captured the LGBT š³ļøāš experience much more than the usual fluffy BLs. It definitely set the bar for Korean Drama in 2024, It was so unique and genuinely great. I didnāt write a review for that one because I only started writing reviews in 2025.
FYI I also love reading your reviews, and we actually have a lot of shows in common that we both enjoy as well!
āI like you.ā
āItās a bug, a big and hairy one.ā
The confession was so straightforward, no beating around the bush. š
I loved this show so much. Itās honestly perfect. Waiting one whole week for each episode is so hard!
Thank God I have 8 Japanese šÆšµ BLs airing right now, all spread throughout the week. This is the first time Iāve had more Japanese BLs airing than Thai š¹š BLs. š
The hate kiss scene followed by his lips š bleeding in Episode 2 was the highlight for me.
The scene in Episode 4 was hot as well, but it was way too short.
We are so spoiled this year with amazing plots and excellent NC scenes. These are definitely my favourites of 2026 so far:
š°š· South Korea: The Prosecutorās Proposal
šØš³ China: Deep In
šÆšµ Japan: Fake Fact Lips
š¹š Thailand: Payback
š¹š¼ Taiwan: Wishing Upon the Shooting Stars
Sun was crying because five years ago, his brother died and then his mother passed away.
Bank was the one who caused both deaths. He stole the money, which meant Sunās mother didnāt receive treatment in time. Not only did Sun lose the two people closest to him, but his boyfriend also betrayed him, stole his money and ghosted him. Thatās why he broke down and cried during that scene.
Jay isnāt supposed to be a green flag character, but I think youāll like him more as the episodes go on. Jay was also going through a difficult time that night, and there is a reason why his arm was broken. I donāt want to spoil it for you though. Youāll have to watch more episodes to understand what happened.
Yes, Jay manipulates Sun. Yes, he is possessive, obsessive and morally questionable. That is literally the point of his character and one of the main reasons many of us found the story interesting. Youāre describing the exact things you hated as if the drama accidentally forgot to make Jay a good boyfriend. It didnāt. We understood what he was doing and still enjoyed watching it.
And the idea that Jay only wanted Sun for sex is also an oversimplification. Their relationship is complicated and unhealthy, but reducing every interaction between them to āJay just wants sexā ignores everything else happening between the characters.
As for the topping and bottoming issue, I agree that being a top or bottom has nothing to do with someoneās personality, dominance or worth in real life. But this is a fictional story with characters who have their own psychology, trauma and preferences. You donāt have to agree with Jayās behaviour to understand why the writers included it.
And honestly, if Jay suddenly stopped manipulating Sun, became emotionally mature, respected every boundary, communicated perfectly and focused on making Sun happy and free, then we would basically have a completely different drama. It would lose the intensity, toxicity and psychological tension that made this series so addictive for many viewers.
You hated the exact elements that I loved. Thatās completely fine. One personās trash is another personās treasure. You hated the drama enough to avoid the manhwa, while I was completely addicted and looked forward to every episode. Neither of us needs to pretend the other personās taste is objectively wrong just because we experienced the story differently.
Glad you liked the NC scene, since at least that helped compensate for the plot you didnāt like
At the end of the day, one personās trash is another personās treasure. You didnāt like the plot, but for me, it was exactly what I wanted. I thought it was amazing, I was never bored, and I was completely addicted. I looked forward to every episode every week. Different tastes, I guess š
Both this series and Payback ended last week, and Iām already missing them š
It's like ignoring the "spicy" label on a dish and then complaining later that it's too spicy. The same logic applies here.
There is a huge difference between a BL series that contains mature or intimate scenes and actual pornography.
Porn is created primarily for explicit sexual content and real sexual acts with visible nudity and genitalia.
Whereas a BL series is a scripted television drama with a storyline, character development, cinematography, professional direction, and trained actors. Intimate scenes are carefully choreographed, filmed using modesty garments and camera techniques, and do not involve real intercourse.
You are free to dislike those scenes or feel they were too explicit (episode 6 & 8). That's your opinion, and everyone is entitled to one. But dismissing an entire series and the hard work of everyone involved by simply calling it "porn" is unfair.
Treat people the way you want to be treated. Toptap and Min are professional actors who have spent years training and building their careers. To reduce all of that to the word "porn" just because the series includes a love scene completely ignores their talent, dedication, and the work of the entire cast and crew. They are professional actors performing roles in a television drama, not porn stars.
Please learn the difference before throwing that label around.
And for those calling this series "porn," let me ask you something. By your logic, are the hundreds of BL series listed on MyDramaList that include intimate scenes also porn? If your answer is no, then you've already acknowledged there is a difference. If your answer is yes, then you're mislabeling an entire television genre and thousands of professional actors simply because their roles include intimacy.
Think before you comment.
You can dislike certain scenes or feel they were too sexualized, but dismissing the entire series and the actorsā work by calling it āpornā is unfair.
Treat people the way you want to be treated. Toptap and Min are professional actors who have spent years training and working hard to build their careers. You reduce all of that to āpornā because there happens to be a love scene? So how do you think those actors feel when you dismiss their work as āPORNā? Theyāre trained actors performing in a television series, not porn stars.
Please learn the difference before throwing that label around.
So by your logic, are the hundreds of BL actors in series listed on MDL that include sex scenes are all"porn" too? If your answer is no, then you've already acknowledged there's a difference. If your answer is yes, then you're mislabeling an entire genre of television and thousands of professional actors simply because their roles include intimacy.
Think about that before replying.
P.S I also noticed that you created a new account today, 2 August, just to troll and leave a bad review. That makes it pretty clear you're just a hater.
A much more satisfying ending would have been for all of his crimes to be exposed live on national TV so everyone could finally see how truly evil he was. He is probably the most sickening and despicable villain I have ever watched.
And not all shows are 18+, some are 13+ and 15+
