Then don't go there, you can stay here and talk about our CZY 🙂
After I started following CZY, I lost interest in K-Dramas, they’ve lost their appeal and follow Western styles too much. K-Pop songs also have way too much synthetic sound, so I switched back to listening to Western music and sometimes Chinese songs 🤣
And then I realized… toxicity is everywhere, even in Chinese entertainment 🤣 Since I love CZY so much, I just have to put up with it. Otherwise, I would have switched back to Western series by now LOL. My life! I really can’t escape 😅 So I guess the answer is just to be happy and keep following CZY 😊
But I saw fans were saying CZY shoot will be over in nov end . Also female lead has another drama to shoot from…
During the drama’s airing, from what I followed on Weibo, iQiyi only slotted this drama between high-budget projects because it wasn’t their major 2025 project and was actually produced by another company. iQiyi didn’t even provide proper screens on the platform, just one screen instead of the usual four fixed screens for airing dramas and sometimes it was even missing from the first page while the drama was still airing lol. Plus, the production team had a pretty small budget. Compared to other dramas airing at the same time, Fated Hearts had the least publicity (which requires a lot of money), as drama bloggers analyzed.
But despite all that, It managed to broadcast successfully. It was a low-budget drama with minimal publicity, yet it gained a good reputation from audiences. Initially, they weren’t optimistic about CZY, he hadn’t done many costume dramas and some thought his modern looks wouldn’t suit the ancient style. But the producer liked him and cast him as the male lead and Li Qin joined later. I’m really glad she’s his partner in the drama. This isn’t even iQiyi’s drama resource, so if someone says he’s “iQiyi’s prince” that’s not true! Otherwise, they would have cast him in more S+ drama projects a long time ago.
CZY’s acting and line delivery especially since he dubbed himself , has been widely praised. (It’s not as easy as it seems; dubbing requires a lot of effort because the actor has to imagine the whole scene again which is why many actors rely on voice actors, otherwise they risk criticism.) At least this drama proved that he can act in costume dramas and even dub himself despite having relatively little experience in this field!
Achieving a 10,000 heat index on iQiyi is not easy, but I’m okay with the overall result considering all the obstacles.
For CZY, this is a great chance to improve and diversify his roles instead of being typecast in the same genre over and over. His next roles as a general and then as an emperor will be challenging, the emperor role, in particular is very hard to portray in a serious drama even with an idol drama style, because it requires a wide range of acting. I really hope he does well.
Finally, I’m with you, I want him to do a modern drama after JSWP and then a male-centric historical drama would be great.
But I saw fans were saying CZY shoot will be over in nov end . Also female lead has another drama to shoot from…
Today marks Day 80 of filming. Usually, historical dramas take around 120 days to shoot, so if what they said is true, this one will wrap up in about 100 days! That’s good for CZY, he’ll get about a month of rest during the New Year. And if there’s a new drama shooting, it’ll probably start next year. I just hope Dobi will arrange a proper schedule for him. Oh, and he might also need some time to do the voice dubbing for Chasing Dreams as well.
Is it just me or from the JSWP Reuters videos, does it look like there are so many of CZY’s costumes on set? Like seriously, there must be over 20 outfits already and they’ve only finished about two-thirds of the filming! lol Our Emperor Ying Gua surely has the full wardrobe 👑
Last night, he was filming until around 2 a.m. CST, I guess. Before that, he flew to Beijing on October 30, right after his birthday, stayed for less than a day and then flew back to continue filming. Not sure why he was there for such a short time but it seems like he didn’t even get a day off to celebrate his birthday. Our man is really working hard… 🥲 After he finishes filming JSWP and has his collarbone surgery, I hope he’ll take a long rest during the New Year. I love that he always goes back to Shenzhen to spend time with his family and friends. At least for now, his mom and Azan are with him during the JSWP shoot. It’s comforting to know he’s not lonely.
No I don’t check this page several times a day to see if there are updates 👉🏻👈🏻
Don’t want to disappoint you but there won’t be much of an update on this drama until next year. As far as I remember, they wrapped up filming around March this year. And since you’re a C-drama lover, you probably already know that the post-production process editing, dubbing and getting the license usually takes about a year or more before it airs. I think the drama is currently in the editing stage, based on the trailer they just released which hasn’t been dubbed yet. I don’t think CZY has had any time to dub CD right now, since he’s been super busy filming JSWP. I really hope they’ll use his real voice for the dubbing though because he did such an amazing job dubbing himself in Fated Hearts. I don’t even dare to hope Tencent will release it in Q1 next year, it’ll probably be around Q2 or sometime in the summer. Anyway, we’ll just have to wait 🙂
This melon’s actually pretty good! I like the theme and it looks like a male-centric drama. If CZY ends up working with a director, I hope it’s someone as good as ZRB or better lol.
The English translation of the trailer from X.The dialogue got me so excited! It’s so much better than just…
Because Tilan’s ability is a god-given power, I’m expecting more than just a political intrigue story, I hope they also show that divine element to make it even more thrilling.
The dialogue got me so excited! It’s so much better than just watching the trailer without it. Tilan’s power as the blind princess can shake the world, and everyone wants her power as they said, “Whoever takes the blind singer wins the world.” 😲
But then Tang Qian Zi said, “The world has nothing to do with me. I only care about Tilan.” 🥹🥹 I love this line so much! Tang Qian Zi!!! What a man!! Protect your girl!!! Fight them all!!!
And Tilan said, “I won’t let anyone control my destiny.” (I was like.... you go, girl!!!) 💪✨
I feel like the main leads will have to face many obstacles together and overcome their own destiny.
Anyone know where you can read the english translation of the novel
I’m pretty sure the novel link used to be in this topic before but now it’s gone or maybe I’m just having amnesia because I clearly remember reading it here. It was just a short story not a long one.
With Tian Xu Ning, right? Yeah, since nothing’s confirmed yet, we can just wait for the official announcement. This time, he has a new manager whoever “Dobi” is, hopefully they’ll find a good project for CZY with a professional team and no big mouths.
Zhu Rui Bin is a really good director, no doubt he’ll be working on big-budget projects. Honestly, I was quite surprised he directed FH, since it wasn’t a big-budget drama or a major IP.

浮生谱 - FuShengPu - Floating Life
In the thirteenth year of the Zhenguan era of the Tang Dynasty, Emperor Taizong Li Shimin, in an effort to alleviate a severe drought, ordered the construction of canals and the opening of mountains. In the mountains near Wuling City, one of the four celestial coffins, the Zhen Shen Crystal Coffin, was unearthed, thus beginning the story of the mortal world and the three heavens and nine realms. Three sects and six factions, ancient myths, the three heavens and nine realms, the Yellow Springs and the Azure Heaven, swords and spears, all weave a tapestry of life amidst chaos. Alone I ascend to the nine heavens to hold back the clouds, drunkenly writing a tale of a fleeting life!
It’s a melon but from what I’ve seen with CZY’s melons, if it is iqiyi, it’s probably 60–80% true. Nothing’s confirmed, so it could change at any time. But I already like this one just because of the Director 😁. I’m not sure about the screenwriter though, a good drama really needs an excellent screenwriter. Besides, he’ll finish filming JSWP around the end of this year and will have his collarbone surgery again, so it’s most likely nothing will be confirmed anytime soon.
Feng YingYing has been replaced as manager, and Dobi has been appointed as the new manager. JSWP was Feng YingYing's…
Not only they changed manager, iqiyi has never celebrated CZY’s birthday on Weibo before. This year is the first time even though he’s technically their subsidiary’s employee 🤣 And everyone’s calling him the 🥝's Prince like, seriously?!
Let’s see.
