Are POJ fanatics here downrating and complaining over cinematography or the choppy editing, AGAIN. Stick to the…
I’m honestly wondering why. This drama’s promotion isn’t even on par with POJ, let alone generating the same level of hype, ratings or view count.
So why are they so worried about that happening?

And are they really going to downrate every new drama?

I hope it won’t be one episode for the rest of the show or it’ll stretch into the end of August.
Do you know why they’re releasing only one episode per day? Is it to align with the satellite TV schedule or something?

It makes you wonder, right? Some people watch dramas mainly for the cinematography and the good-looking leads, then praise them without caring much about the actual story...lol.

That’s another positive aspect of this drama, the original author is involved, so hopefully they won’t mess up the novel adaptation.

Men in C-dramas are basically second-class citizens now. 😂😂 Reverse harems have become the norm, even in…
Exactly!!! I agree. Since most of the audience is female, they often expect the female lead to be smart and intelligent all the time. The moment she makes even one naive or foolish decision, people immediately complain and criticize her.

But why can’t the female lead be naive or make mistakes sometimes? No human being is perfect. What makes a good story is seeing her learn, grow and develop as a character.

They also don’t allow the ML to be cold or insensitive toward FL either. But, you know… men are sometimes just men LOL. They can’t always understand what a woman is thinking, especially when women’s emotions can be so complicated in real life. I’m a woman myself, and even I can accept that.

Why do people love tanking a drama's rating before it's even had a chance to unfold? If you don't like it, just…
I guess some viewers may not like the cinematography or the choppy editing, especially compared with other C-dramas. After being an MDL user for years, though, I’m honestly not any more worried about the rating here now.

We can already see that the cinematography and editing are not exactly top-tier but at least the story and acting seem quite good, judging by many of the comments.
My main concern is that the scriptwriter will not mess things up toward the end just like many Chinese dramas have done.

Funny. The rating is only 7.8, whereas the comments/feedbacks were mostly positive. Then the other dramas were…
The rating will probably fluctuate a lot at the beginning because of biased votes from both sides, fans giving it very high ratings and trolls or haters rating it extremely low.
A more reliable rating will likely emerge later, toward the end of the drama.

Still, ratings shouldn’t determine whether someone likes or dislikes a show.
Just enjoy watching it!

Was those bg of open field green screen? It doesn't look well edited😅. I only care about plot but those bg…
Most of the desert scenes were filmed using a green screen, and the production team isn’t exactly top-tier either.
I guess it’s better to focus on enjoying the plot and the acting.

Just for the record, this production team was working with a very limited budget, LOL, and most of the crew were quite new to drama production.
The drama was also suddenly released without any prior announcement or promotion.
So, I didn’t have high expectations at first but it actually turned out to be quite watchable which is good enough for me since I get to watch CZY and WJY together.

They just changed the drama’s title back to "Yu Ting Yao". I’m not sure why, but it still doesn’t…
There are so many rumors on Weibo.....some say the 27th while others say the 28th. But the main point is that I still haven’t seen the distribution license being issued yet.

And yes, it is coming.

There are only about 20 days of filming left and I am still not sure how much progress they have made. Some people are even saying that parts of the script may have been cut.

The appearance of so many new actors makes sense because the story also includes several supporting characters, not just the leads. But I still cannot understand how they plan to fit such a detailed story into only 30 episodes, especially with just around 100 days of filming. Some dramas with much simpler stories take more than 120 days to film.

I am completely fine with shortening the story instead of dragging it out unnecessarily, but this drama spans several eras and includes many side stories. How are they going to cover everything properly in only 30 episodes? And now they may even be cutting down the romance between the leads too... 🤨

This drama has that cinematography, story and acting but sad thing there are nearly no promotion. They didn't…
Come to think of it, what CZY has achieved is actually quite good, right?
His dramas have rarely received aggressive promotion, yet he has still managed to come this far and gain some fans. Many of us became his fans simply because we enjoyed his dramas and the characters he portrayed.

I am not saying he is perfect when it comes to acting, of course. He still has room to improve and I think he knows that too. That may be why he chooses to work alongside experienced actresses with excellent acting skills, such as WJY and LQ, who also do not rely heavily on promoting their on-screen pairings.

The Chinese entertainment industry is extremely tough and competitive. Popularity can be like a bubble, it rises quickly but can disappear just as fast. That is why I would rather see him continue improving his acting and follow the right path as an actor. I hope he focuses on making quality dramas instead of accepting just any project for the sake of becoming more popular.

Of course, I know it is difficult for an actor to have only high-quality dramas in their filmography because there are so many factors beyond their control. Still, we will soon get to see him play an emperor, another different character he chose to take on.

Let’s wait a little longer and watch the drama when it finally comes out.

I’ve seen people express disappointment that Sha Lou shares more scenes with Zi Miao than with Ao Chi, and honestly,…
It is so romantic, if you ask me!!! The romance is not only about whether they are officially in love.....it is also in everything he did for her. Do you see what I mean? He gave her everything... even his actual heart, like, literally.

And what does he get in return? SL spends more time with the second male lead than with AC—the man who did so much for her and gave her everything 🫤

Fine!!... if people want the female lead to be happy with the second male lead, then go ahead. But our AC will become one of the most pitiful yet unforgettable male lead ever!?!? He will be the kind of character that viewers who support the male lead will remember forever... I will be AC’s number-one fan 😭

Great!!!

Our Zheyuan always tells his fans to be happy every day and not to worry too much about him.
Of course, I will try to do as he says and stay happy but I still cannot help worrying about him because I want him to be happy too. I also hope that all his hard work will eventually pay off.

That is all I truly wish for him, the very best in everything he does.

Whether it is love or simply a deep bond in any form, they are still tied together for a thousand years, right? If the drama handles it properly, it could become a really beautiful love story.

I honestly have no idea how the timeline between the different eras works, LOL. I thought the Xianxia era could bring the story back to the thousand-year romance....even if he dies, his soul would still love her, no matter how many times he is reborn...

But maybe that is just my own delusional interpretation 🤣 I simply find that version much more compelling for a romance drama 🤣
