Yes, thank you for your interpretation and explanations. I think I was searching for answer that would not require me imposing interpreatitons on what is showed. This is definitelly one of the closest conclussions, but without me knowing they are dom/sub relationship canonically (which i cannot say from this series - might be the actor really) - i cannot wrapt it like this. I guessed correctly it was an impotant scene in the canon, but i could not connect it safely and surely with anything so i searched for explanation about meaning behind this.
"earlier in ep 5-6 we saw him saying that the night before was a drunken mistake. now this time he’s fully sober and conscious, and this is him coming to terms with his feelings and officially accepting it." is exacrly what does not make sense. If it was like this i would expect to see Chae at least hesitate (in prev episodes about their/his drunken mistake). But nope, no such thing and yet, for some strange reason for Chae's sake - we had to split it between drunken and suber decision - even though there was never one protest and only self blame about what happened? And if it was for Tae's sake, shouldn't be he the one hesitating to invite him to his house?
But we have here one character that explicitly states he would prefer for it to be Tae's drunken mistake than him deciding they will be "only" sex partners and never refusing Tae about his sex partners concept, and yet he has qualms over entering Tae's house even though he obviously run to him through rain to heal his hurt ego? no, no and no. But I get what you mean and it is most probably how it was meant by creators, it just does not sit well imo.
Wait a second... i might get now why it is not working. So imagine Tae is worried sick for several hours, calling…
Thank you for telling me this piece! it's the first time they ever get physical - so it really mean first time having sex? or is it first one where both soberly agree on this? Even more so - originally this is dom/sub story? --- i would say it could work even in this series, but done differently. or more adjusted and smoothed for what already happened in the series. TY for the additional details!
i might agree on this :) if u know news, lemme know, pls
well, but their pervious work was basically a trash, not that it is their fault... but obviously it is needed, more shots. 10 days is ineed very short time. :(
I wonder why the whole jealousy sequence (ep.7, 1st half) does not work as it should and I would say the length…
Wait a second... i might get now why it is not working. So imagine Tae is worried sick for several hours, calling left and right, writing messages, and nobody is responding. Thinking how Chae throws himself in front of Tae to save and protect his life at the cost of his own. So naturally, Tae feels responsible and guilty for this. Also, let's not omit the fact that the creators made it so that he was not even able to react in a moment of shock, which is another thing that adds to Tae’s feeling of guilt and responsibility for what happened to Chae (not uplifting, not agressive, pulling down type of emotions).
Now he sees Chae getting back from who knows where with Song Ha Neul. Not only does he feel contradicting emotions of guilt and happiness that nothing bad happened to Chae, but on top of that emotional roller coaster, he gets another blow: not only did nothing happen to Chae, but he also had a good time with another man.
So jealousy hits. But at this point, because Tae is a normal character—not an overly toxic one, not someone in a toxic relationship (at least that is how the show portrays him; I don't know how he is in the original material)—there is this tired sort of jealousy where you have no strength to do anything about it. You cannot even properly blame the other person because of all the conflicting emotions you had before.
Very understandably, for these reasons, Tae decides to leave rather than argue.
In the meantime, Chae very empathetically deciphers the contradiction between what Tae told him in the hallway in front of the lift and all the missed calls and unread messages from the time before. He even decides to push further and, instead of choosing to process it mentally at home, in safety, he decides to run after Tae.
This part makes sense. It is understandable, logical, and done well.
Now Chae rings Tae’s doorbell, soaked, wet, and cold to the bone.
Tae sending him away still makes sense. However, this whole scene feels a little bit too pretentious—like, where are you even going with this? Why are you dragging this out like this? It all feels very unnecessary.
And then all the speech about him not having patience with Chae is just plainly ridiculous because it is not backed up by the actions at all. Like, "you don't have patience"? But we have seen you being impatient in the xyz episode and in previous situations. That is what you look like when you are not patient. It is not pulling that poor person in front of your door, frozen to death, into the bathroom and pouring hot water over him to warm him up. (Also, I know they wanted insert impression of dominance, but why was being poor Chae thrown left and right like a poor ragged doll? Tae was obviously not comfortable with all the throwing so was not the actor.)
The hesitation from Chae, on the other hand, is something I understand very little. I genuinely do not understand why he waited for such a long time in front of the door. I do not know what the hidden meaning behind this symbolism was, but I could not relate to it.
If it was meant to connect to their conversation about Tae’s "one-night-only partner" and Chae feeling like stepping inside the house would be too much of an agreement to those terms… or if he had something else in his mind… I just do not understand it. It felt like too much postponement of something that was inevitable anyway.
And not in a good way. It felt like if they dragged it out too long, it would serve some deeper purpose, but I just do not see what that purpose was.
At the same time, what I do not understand is the sequence after the shower. Why are both of them suddenly staying at Tae’s place? Where, in all of these agreements, rules, and conditions, did we agree to this? And why are you blow-drying his hair? What is happening here?
And all the speech about "stay put" while I want Chae to do anything but stay put... aghrrrrrr.
I could continue with the reconstruction, but I do not have the time right now, so I will leave it for another time :)
I wonder why the whole jealousy sequence (ep.7, 1st half) does not work as it should and I would say the length of episodes (not enough) is only partial explanation. Another part is most of it is rather declared/told than showed. Another thing that does not work is the reconstruction. AS if too many is crammed at too little space, so even if everything important is told, it did not click. Emotionally, it did not settle. And then again, atmosphere is set too deep (dark), actions are not, even though everythin on list clicks well for standard murder/detective storytelling. Also here and there i would compeltelly exclude some moments (even actors seemed to be uncomfortable with) altogether. It prevents taking this as seriously to match the atmosphere/vibe, looks awkward/uncomfortable, and this series could fly and shine without it more than comfortably. It shows this is cheaper projects than it looks like/presents itself/ppl tend to believe. No, there are just dark colours mixed into this (which i like, do it more, just match atmosphere and tone with it, no comic relief needed, thank you).

I WANT SIWOO AND YOONSIK AND THE REST OF THE CAST TO REACT TO THE FULL EPISODES, NOT JUST SHORT HIGHLIGHTS 😩Once…
happy for at least that, and no, i would love them fast forwarded to a drama where Kim Yoon Sik plays a nice guy since he obviously is. Also they can switch roles, let Park Si Woo show his devilish streak for a change...
Fun fact. Insertion while in water creates more friction because water tends to wash away the body's natural lubrication....Now,…
tyvm for the very explicit explanation - funfact, since Phatsa had a steel 🍆 in his bathroom to use while in heat, that he didn't even know he will have, I am surpried by nothing, def. not by Taeseon havind in his shower a silicone based lubricant...
I watched and completed this then started Knot but for now Desire is so much bettered except I wish they gave…
I would say Knot is much smoother than Desire was. It is going to be much more relationship developed. As there is not much story wise, i dont expect Knot to end not rounded (like Desire did). Desire had elegance, manipulation and enigma, Knot has explicitness, show of carnal aspect of omegaverse, relationship of Omega and Beta. I would say they are quite different, quite unique, and show (esp. new yet unintroduced) audience different interesting aspects and sides of ABO. Also, both fuck up in unique ways, which might be useful too to analyze and evolve from.
I was thinking about it too. Eventhough Knot is following omegaverse trope it's not adding much to the plot to…
I mean i take it omegaverse is enriching live action, i dont expect more rhan that for now. In that respect i would consider the sensualuty and expression of liquified desire and loss of conttol in the gorm Knot shows quite inovative.
Like, the scene with the dad coming home should have been longer with more time for them to act the feeling of…
Ok so can you tell me a roughlx what you remember out of the Oat drama? I apologize I did not want you to search for it but I wanted to be on the same page of what you know and compare it with what I know.
