I’m hoping that someone could specify when exactly the 3yr time jump happened? Did it happen before or after Yanyuns initial proposal? I am a little ways into 18.
Yeah I’m struggling with her too. Her blowing hot and cold, acting dumb about his OBVIOUS advances, and then…
Watched both! They were ok! LMLMV dragged some and I’m not into the mini concerts and playing up the music scene as much. TBT had a VERY good kiss in it! All of the medical ethical issues disrupted my enjoyment of that one 😂
Girl! I agree. This drama wasn't even anything special, and I still don't know how fenale lead and her secretary…
Yeah I put the drama away for now. I know they get back together at the end of episode 10, but then I am like what the heck was the point of that stuuuupid attempted breakup?! 🤦🏼♀️You know what would have been better? The FL going to the ML and saying, “My dad thinks we should divorce in order to protect you. I don’t want to, but what else could we do?” MUCH better writing than the dumb noble idiocy without even communicating why. UGH. It irritates me to no end! 😑
Just started episode 10 and am dropping for now because I am so annoyed. I’m sick of noble idiocy, sick of characters making self-sacrificing decisions “for the good” of the other person without considering the other person’s feelings or what the other person wants. I truly hoped that this drama would not go there, and I thought that it wouldn’t because their first “breakup” lasted less than half an episode before they decided to work through it together. She has been preaching to him to keep fighting, but now she is abandoning him “for his own good” and not practicing what she has been preaching this whole drama. She’s now taking advice from people who have treated her like crap? People that she stood up to and kicked against the whole drama? What the heck. Did “love” really just reduce you to a meek and spineless shell?
I’m done. And so disappointed. Noble idiocy is the stupidest, most overused trope. My god get more creative with your storytelling and stop reducing what could have been a fantastic power couple to a puddle of mush.
FINALLY catching up. I am overall really enjoying this one, the lead’s romance especially. I am not crazy about the PM, or just SMLs in general who sit on their feelings for the FL for years but never act on them until there’s another suitor. I’m not too crazy about the love triangle and the FL not setting hard boundaries with him after he asked her to marry him instead a couple episodes ago. She still tried to treat him like a close friend, which bothered me.
Her dad also drives me nuts. He treated her very poorly for her whole life, but now he has the audacity to hit and blame the ML after she was poisoned at their wedding? Oh okay, dude. Go screw yourself.
I am only a bit into episode 8, but I love how maturely and consistently the romance developed. There was no dragged out angst (yet), no dragged out miscommunication. Their separation literally lasted maybe half an episode. I appreciate a lot how they’ve been talking things out and being open with each other. His confession was 👌🏻. I appreciate how there haven’t been any major breakups (yet?). It has a lot of the themes I love in my romance dramas, were it not for the silly love triangle.
I was okay up until now, when they are entering the romance part between the leads. I can not not be grossed out…
That was normal back then. Life expectantly was probably around 50 / 60, and due to the suffering and turmoil in those times people had to mature a lot quicker than we do with our cushier lives. Times have changed now, yes, but it’s not fair to judge an ancient culture with your modern day lenses. You don’t know what it was like for these people to live back then.
they're just boys when compared ML. others are close to her age, but none are promising enough to be worthy of…
Yessss and I love the contrast between the ML and the other two suitors. It’s clear that he is the mature one, most put together, and the pure masculine energy he gives off is delicious.
