I wondered that, too. He wore it during most of the festival, so I wondered if it was because he didn’t want to be recognized by anyone and wanted to enjoy the festival as a regular civilian. I’m open to hearing other perspectives. I also wonder if he didn’t want to put a target on her back with any of his enemies seeing him save her. 🤷🏼‍♀️

This makes me so excited! I love skinship and intimacy (not just sexual) and this gives me hope that we will get plenty 🤩

I know 💔I ship the FL with the ML, but the situation with the 3ML makes me sad. His hands really are tied. If he chose to decline the arranged marriage he would 1) be putting himself and career at risk, 2) put his adopted family and their position under severe scrutiny, 3) it would basically feel like turning on the family that took him in and took care of him. It’s so sad 💔

I just want to laugh because only ONE of the male characters is chasing the FL and he’s a brat and she doesn’t like him back 😂The other guy likes her but can’t be with her and then the ML just realized that he likes her 😂Clearly the OP hasn’t watched the drama.

She currently has a crush on one of the secondary male characters, but is developing a growing connection to thr ML. As someone who detests stereotypical love triangles with possessive and jealous second leads this one does not bother me at all. Neither the ML or the FL have romantic feelings for each other yet, so the love triangle (or love square) feels kind of in the background for me and not annoyingly at the forefront. She has spent most of the drama thus far being afraid / wary of the ML for good reason. You can always give it a try and see how you like it. Trust me, I HATE love triangles most of the time but so far I think they are handling the romance very well in this drama.

Maybe. In other dramas I’ve seen with coming of age ceremonies, the FLs have bee fifteen. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Since the life expectancy wasn’t nearly as high back then, marriages happened at younger ages. Either way, doesn’t matter to me.

As someone who detests love triangles I am LOVING this drama and it isn’t bothering me at all (so far)! Ya she’s crushing on Xuanqing, but she’s literally 15 years old. I am pretty sure it’s the norm for a high class woman who has just come of age to have a big deal made about her marriage - and up until the most recent episodes, she’s been afraid of the ML (for good reason). He’s much older than she is and he’s playing the dangerous game. Plus, her scenes with Xuanqing are cute, but omg when she is with the ML there’s a whoooole different dynamic going on and they have strong chemistry and a power couple dynamic. It’s really good! I’m surprised that the love square / triangle idk isn’t bothering me at all right now. I think it’s because so far there hasn’t been any insane jealousy or possessiveness, the ML isn’t really playing the game, and the FL seems to be naturally growing closer to him on her own.

Ok gotcha! I figured it had something to do with being in league with her grandmother, but I didn’t know if it was explicitly stated.

Do we know or find out why Lord Chen was sneaking around with the lantern in episode 1 when she set th fire? Was he investigating something?
