I haven’t had a chance to watch today’s episodes yet, but I hope we actually get to see a pregnancy and birth with Tingyun and Zhao Ling in this drama! I wanna see babies and parenting.

I haven’t been this obsessed with a drama since PoJ, and hopefully this one won’t be a massive letdown like the last half like that one was.

I am actually not super thrilled about the capital arc and ZL as an official. I am actually really loving him being able to draw on his knowledge of the salt industry as well as his experience with the martial arts. When he does start wearing the clothing of the officials, I really hope that he still gets to keep doing cool stuff. I don’t want the drama to become ALL about palace politics and court stuff.

The irony of an actual hater complaining about it being hard to have character 🤣

Can someone fill in the gap of how Zuo went from the widow in the Fu household to being a mistress for Advisor Li? It seems like a stretch to me that she would gain so much power, but I didn’t catch how she got there. Do we know?

An awesome balance of both, but I would say a bit more focus on the romance.

I think it was in the teaser for the next episode, but it kind of seems like Zhao Ling is going to get unjustly punished / beaten 😔I am preparing myself to get pissed…
