Title The Heiress
This drama is really funny and fast paced, and the plot is quite interesting. The FL disguising as a male really looked like a man but a soft feminine one (reminded me of the feminine ML in the drama Oh My General). The actress who is the FL really nailed the role. The chemistry between the FL and ML is really good, and it is really refreshing to see a drama where the ML is intelligent, sharp, not too arrogant or cold, and he is curious about his sexuality.

Who are the 2 actors from the Untamed? I cannot recognize them in the modern world.... hahaha
Thanks! So that means there are 3 actors from The Untamed. I actually like Wang Hao Xuan (who played Xue Yang) because he has such a striking face and beautiful eyes.....LOL

I can understand your struggle with historical dramas - both Chinese and Korean ones. The beginning episodes are so slow (even boring) but I will struggle through in order to understand the characters. Once the pace starts picking up, the ending will be good. For example: Empress Ki. This was my 1st 50+ episodes drama and I almost balked the thought of watching so many episodes. I even dropped this drama 3x, but by the 4th time I re-watched it, I finally finished it. In the end, I really loved the drama and I am glad I re-watched it or I will miss a wonderful historical drama gem. A 2nd example is The Untamed. It took me a few tries to watch this as in the beginning I did not understand anything at all what the drama was about. I dropped it after episode 5/6. But because it was very popular, I became more curious and tried watching the anime version of The Untamed on Youtube (Master of Demonic Cultivation = Mo Dao Zu Shi). After watching the anime version, I fully understand what The Untamed is about and then I re-watched the live action version. It took me a few weeks to finish but I am really glad I did. It is one of the best Chinese dramas ever. I finished a few historical/period dramas such as The Story of Ming Lan, The Story of Yangzi Palace, to name a few. But I have also kept on hold and even dropped many historical dramas that I found boring and unable to finish.

Re-starting to watch this drama on 30/07/2020 and I am loving it so far. Really liked the 2 main male leads, and the story - it's edgy, exciting, mysterious yet colorful. I just love Li Xian's character and his edgy cool look (love his long plaited hair with shaved head and patchy unique clothes!!). I also like Zhang Ming En and this is the first time I see him. I am hoping the bromance in this drama will be fun and interesting

The dead man was a bad husband who cheated on his wife and lied to the mistress that he was single man. I agreed that he was the real culprit that started all the conflict and this drama.... hahaha

When I first saw the title of this drama, I thought it was going to be an adult-theme Chinese drama. But then I saw the cute Zhao Yi Qin going for a time travel in the drama's trailer and I got confused.... hahahaha

Fumigating the dead in-laws ??!! I just laughed out loud at this. I can understand how things can get lost in translation. In my country, the translators from English to Malay are also not so great. Sometimes, I ended up laughing whenever I read the Malay subtitles. For example: In the movie, Mama Mia, there was a scene where Pierce Brosnan was making a toast during the wedding reception. He said that he wanted to make a toast.... The translator translated that to "Buat Roti ...." meaning making a (bread) toast !! LOL....

Why is it that such nice period costumes C-dramas have problems with getting English subtitles while other modern/fluffy rom-coms are being subbed quickly? :P :P

This reminds me of the C-drama "Goodbye My Princess", which also has a sad ending. But people should not let the sad ending stop you from watching the drama, because the story might be good; who knows?

SERIOUSLY you people! Because of all these discussions, I actually had to watch/re-watch, re-play and pay attention to the drama intro, just to see the actors/actresses, male bracelets and 12th Night book, roses, burnt US$100 note ..... LOL... anyway I am really enjoying to be part of this discussion.. Let me put my thinking cap on and ponder more about the subtle signs of this drama.. I am loving it... XD
