Title Eternal Yesterday Spoiler
Strange, depressing episode. It was odd how Mitchan was interrogating that teacher about his personal life. I…
I also found it odd the first time I watched it. But thinking about it now, it kinda did became their business the moment they mediated between the attempted suicide incident. I mean as the person indirectly responsible for it, you at least owe them an explanation right? Another explanation I can think of is Mitchan is dealing with grief as his loved one is technically dead, he needed an explanation as to why Ogawa sensei breaking up with Tamaki despite the former still seemingly in love with the latter, dealing to the latter's suicide attempt. Although as he mentioned in episode 6, he did regret asking as he's in a very similar predicament as well. What I found most odd of all is how Mitchan failed to understand Koichi's line "You can have two number one", insinuating he can be in a relationship again after Koichi dies. Either way, I'm both excited and scared for the next 2 episodes. 🥺

The Damn title itself is Eternal YeStErDaY! Why do I still keep hope then?!! WHYYYYY. And this is Japanese BL.…
This. We just want them both to be happy. But by the way the story is progressing, I'm preparing myself for the worst. 😭

Man, this ep was rough. Mitsuru is trying so so hard to pretend that things are going to be okay, that they can…
I also thought of this. He wasn't saying it for himself, he was basically reassuring Mitchan with the inevitable. And it kinda makes it739027 times sadder since Koichi probably knows what would happen eventually, but is trying to stay strong for Mitchan. This is just foreshadowing at this point. 🥺

Episode 6 broke my heart. 😭
I know it's almost impossible, but I really just want them both to be happy in the end. 🥺

why is ep 5 so jerky on all platformssomeone messed up the framerate
I really thought I was imagining things 💀. So the framerate really was 💩 indeed. I watched on Gagaoolala, is it also wonky on Viki?

Am I the only one that teared up during the last few minutes of episode 5? It was short but it had a really strong impact on me. Mitchan telling himself he finds comfort in being alone and telling Koichi he's cold yet craving for Koichi's warmth nonetheless. The fact that he tells himself it "hurts" yet it also "makes him happy" really is touching knowing the context of the situation. He knows what will happen eventually. And yet he chose to enjoy these simple moments with Koichi. I bet the next few episodes will hurt more. 🥺

Even when nothing explicitly sad is happening on screen here I am still bawling. I think it's partly that I can…
My exact feeling for this episode. Like nothing explicitly sad is going on, but you can't help but feel for them for the inevitable. By the teaser for episode 6, this is going to be one painful journey to the finale 🥺

is this worth the watch?
I'd strongly recommend it. A favorite of mine from the MBS BL lineup.

I'm really annoyed that this rating just dropped from an 8.1 to a 7.9 today. I can't fathom why it suddenly dropped…
Same sentiment. Like this series gets better with each episode. But I guess to each their own. Or maybe MDL's site is having a glitch, who knows.

I don't know what MBS is. So which four do you mean?
It's a television broadcasting company. They have a specific timeslot in which only BL shows air, these are: (1) Mr. Unlucky Has No Choice but to Kiss!, (2) Senpai, This Can't be Love!, (3) Takara-kun & Amagi-kun, and (4) Eternal Yesterday . They also have an upcoming one which will air after Eternal Yesterday finishes (December 15), titled "Ameiro Paradox"

I'm obsessed with Koichi saying "Mitchan"... it sounds so cute
Right? He genuinely sounds like a kid 😂. I guess it also helps that Koichi's actor, Komiya Rio, is only 19.

So far, this has been my favorite BL out of the four from the same timeslot by MBS. It just has a different feel to it compared to the other three. It's cute but it also has this looming feeling to it as you progress further with the episodes. I'm both excited and afraid of what's about to come. 🥺

Also: hilarious that K is apparently VERY well-endowed. Though its a bit HARD to believe this is his first boner…
I don't think they were surprised because it's Koichi's first boner in Mitchan's presence. It was probably due to the fact that Koichi is a corpse, and thus should have no blood flow at all. So imagine the surprise they got when they saw his "down there" hard af lol.

Also, "Old Fashion Cupcake" is a fairly recent BL (released a few months ago) which has quite a good kissing scene with similar body part sucking to "Eternal Yesterday"

Their second kiss is MUCH BETTER than their first. But I guess narrative-wise, it would make sense that their first kiss be awkward and deadpan. So excited (and scared) of the next episodes~

But im confused about episode 3 is he thinking about past or it's present time after he got hit by car?
It's a flashback before the accident because:
(1) Koichi and Mitchan held hands in episode 2 like it was normal for them.
(2) When Mitchan removed his shirt while in the beach, there were no bruises.
(3) Mitchan said in Episode 2: "There was only one instance where I was afraid of Koichi".

Pretty safe to assume that they've been in a relationship before the accident.

I wasn’t completely sold on this drama, but with episode 3 I’m completely into it. I can’t wait to have…
I personally think it gets better with each episode. Like episode 1 was already good imo but episode 3 was just beautiful.
